Advice

(A/N: I've been meaning to make this as a chapter title two chapters ago...)

"What. Did. You. Say?!" Wei Wuxian's face darkened as his voice slowly rose. "You... wanted to court Jiang Cheng?!" he exclaimed as he looked at Lan Xichen in shock.

Lan Wangji was also stunned, but since he has always been expressionless... ah, no. His expression looked wooden this time and his eyes... He really didn't expect that not only this would be what his brother's problem is, it would also be this kind of problem!

"That's right, young master Wei." Lan Xichen nodded in affirmation. "I wanted to court Wanyin." He said.

"... 'Wanyin'..." Wei Wuxian muttered. His expression looked wooden. "And... courtship?" his gaze looked complicated. "Why? You don't like Jiang Cheng." He said as he looked at Lan Xichen. "Weren't you in love with... before - ?" he said, then paused.

Lan Wangji finally recovered from his shock and also looked at Lan Xichen. That's right. Lan Xichen was in love with Jin Guangyao... wait, 'was'? He thought and looked at Wei Wuxian who also realized it.

"It can't be... you fallen in love with Jiang Cheng?!" Wei Wuxian's eyes widened in shock as he looked at Lan Xichen.

Lan Xichen's expression is serious. "I did... I am." He answered.

"Don't lie!" Wei Wuxian shouted as his expression distorted in anger. "Don't think I don't know... Lan Zhan told me that the Lan Clan will love only one person in their lifetime!" he said as he glared at Lan Xichen.

Lan Wangji's expression is serious. He never lied to Wei Wuxian, so he told him everything. He also knows that his elder brother wouldn't lie, so what's happening now?

Lan Xichen frowned. "I am not (lying)." He spoke. "Of course, Wangji didn't lie." He said.

"Then – " Wei Wuxian clenched his fists.

"It's because feelings could lie – " Lan Xichen spoke, then shook his head. " – be mistaken." He said.

"'mistaken'?" Wei Wuxian frowned.

Lan Wangji fell silent as he pondered about it.

Lan Xichen looked at them and smiled. "Young master Wei." He called. "Before, you thought that you just liked teasing Wangji, but actually already liked him that time, right?" he said.

Wei Wuxian froze then his face turned as red as an apple. Lan Wanggji looked at him and a smile formed on his lips, only to freeze when he heard his brother continued speaking.

"Wangji, too – " Lan Xichen turned to his younger brother, who never liked to talk (before). "He thought he hated young master Wei for being rambunctious, but actually already drawn to him." He said, which made Lan Wangji flustered but his ears red.

This couple which could be shameless always actually felt shy right now after their feelings being exposed, especially during their school days.

Lan Xichen watched the couple before him look shy and can't help but chuckle. "Before, I thought I liked ah Yao." He spoke.

Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji looked at him. 'thought'? They looked at each other.

"Ah Yao helped me during my hardest times... and that kindness moved me." Lan Xichen continued. "Being moved make one easier develop feelings for them." He sadly smiled. "Well, I liked ah Yao, but as a friend... not until – " his smile disappeared.

Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji didn't speak since Lan Xichen was referring to Jin Guangyao's scheme.

Lan Xichen sighed and changed the topic. "Wangji. You told me that I hesitated before when uncle warned me about ah Yao." He looked at Lan Wangji, who nodded in affirmation.

Wei Wuxian also heard about this from Lan Wangji so he didn't speak.

"If you truly like someone, you won't be disillusioned of them." Lan Xichen said. "And if you truly love them, you'd accept everything about them." He looked at Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji, who are the proof of this emotion. "I really like Wanyin... I love him." He said. "I was always a rational person, and never did anyone make me swayed due to my emotions. I've never been this desperate about making someone do something I want, which only them can do – " he is referring to Jiang Cheng calling him 'husband'. "So... can you help me?" he asked as he looked at them two with a pleading gaze.

(A/N: what will happen next? Stay tuned! P.S.: dunno, but I feel like this will be the longest XiCheng fanfic that I have written? XD)
