Cloud Recesses, Gusu. (A/N: let's change place, for once XD)

Lan Wangji has just returned to Cloud Recesses after he sent Wei Wuxian to the Lotus Pier since he (WWX) said he wanted to accompany his brother (JC). Despite being jealous, Lan Wangji chose to let his wife go. Because how can he ever resist him (WWX)? (A/N: WWX's requests, and WWX himself lol) Lan Wangji, being reasonable, let the two brothers have their bonding time. After all, Jiang Cheng is now married to Lan Xichen and Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng's time between them brothers would decrease.

Speaking of Lan Xichen... Lan Wangji then decided to return to Cloud Recesses to spend some time with his elder brother. But, only for him to suddenly stop when he heard a familiar sound. Though, the tune is strange...Lan Wangji's usually blank expression twitched for a moment when he felt like he heard the tune before yet he couldn't recognize it right now. A frown can't help but appear on his face as he knows that it is Liebing who is used to playing this 'strange' tune. Who could it be but his elder brother Lan Xichen?

Lan Wangji immediately went to the cliff where he and Lan Xichen would often 'hang out' and play Wangji – his (LWJ) guqin, and Liebing – Lan Xichen's xiao*. As expected, he saw his elder brother there, standing tall beside a tree. His wide white sleeves billowing, making him look like an immortal, which they aspire to be.

"Wangji?" Lan Xichen called and turned when he sensed a presence.

"Brother." Lan Wangji called and approached his elder brother who he finds looked lonely right now. But why would Lan Xichen look lonely? Lan Wangji is puzzled.

"Huh? Where's young master Wei?" Lan Xichen asked when he noticed that Lan Wangji was alone.

"Wei Ying wanted to go to Lotus Pier to accompany Jiang Wanyin." Lan Wangji answered before he paused. "Brother, you..." he muttered, wanting to ask why Lan Xichen didn't accompany Jiang Cheng. After all, the two are now a pair of legal husbands like him (LWJ) and Wei Wuxian. If Lan Xichen accompanies Jiang Cheng, then would Wei Wuxian think of accompanying Jiang Cheng?

Yes, Lan Wangji knows he is feeling jealous of Jiang Cheng again because of the attention that Wei Wuxian was giving Jiang Cheng. But who made Jiang Cheng as Wei Wuxian's brother? Lan Wangji could only sigh and be resigned.

"Lotus Pier..." Lan Wangji heard Lan Xichen mutter. He raised his head and looked at his elder brother. Then, he found him looking in a daze.

"Brother?" Lan Wangji called. "Is there something wrong?" he asked.

Lan Xichen paused... then grimaced. His ears turned pink, too. Lan Wangji froze since this was the first time that he saw this reaction from Lan Xichen. Something must have happened to his elder brother!

"Wangji..." Lan Xichen hesitated before he finally sighed in resignation. He always knows his younger brother's matters, but Lan Wangji doesn't know his (LXC) matters. Since it is only Lan Wangji who he could talk about this matter, then Lan Xichen finally decided to tell Lan Wangji what happened earlier. Just recalling it made Lan Xichen's red turn redder, and his expression also looked embarrassed.

No, it is a shy expression. Lan Wangji thought as he listened to his elder brother's narration.

...

Meanwhile, in Lotus Pier.

"... who are you?" Wei Wuxian, who just reached the doorway, froze and asked the person inside the room when he saw the other's face.

Jiang Cheng heard Wei Wuxian's question and if it was the usual, he would have ignored him. But, today, he is in a good mood. Yep, you read that right.

"Jiang Wanyin, the sect leader of the YunmengJiang Sect." Jiang Cheng answered as he leisurely played with the clean brush around his fingers.

Wei Wuxian's face couldn't be any blanker. This isn't the Jiang Cheng I know! He thought. Could it be, that he was possessed?! His eyes narrowed and he raised his fingers to check Jiang Cheng's aura.

"Drop it." Jiang Cheng spoke when he saw Wei Wuxian's action. "It was nothing complicated. Just that, something happened." He explained.

"Something what?" Wei Wuxian immediately asked and sat across Jiang Cheng in a flash. "Something bad must have happened to the others which put you in a good mood – ow!" he cried when Jiang Cheng hit him.

"Don't you ruin my mood now..." Jiang Cheng said and shook his head. "Or else, I won't tell you what it is – " he said.

Wei Wuxian cut him off. "Tell me! Tell me now!" he immediately said.

Jiang Cheng chuckled before he finally began narrating. Just thinking about that guy's reaction earlier... the smile on Jiang Cheng's lips widened. His eyes twinkled. It seems that this marriage isn't bad. He thought and couldn't help but chuckle again, which was making Wei Wuxian's hair rise, feeling spooked.

This really isn't Jiang Cheng! Wei Wuxian thought. 

(A/N: aww... JC's thoughts on this marriage have changed! So cute! But... what happened earlier? I was supposed to write it here and attach a YT video but... I'll just do it in the next chapter XDDD hope you liked this chapter!
