Back to Hogwarts

04:08, 5 August 2024

Tonight was our last night, tomorrow is the first day of our last year of Hogwarts and now we are getting packed and ready to go.

I was sifting through my dresser to find which clothes I wished to take with me, Draco walked over seeing me saddened mood and wrapped his arms under my shirt so his skin would touch mine.

As if he was the sun and I a flower my head popped up and my mood lightened. "Are you alright?" Draco buried his head in the crook of my neck.

"I am now." I moved my wing to let him lean in more. "Im sorry. Im just tired and... I dont know."

"You can sleep on the train." Draco said sadly. "You need sleep. You haven't had a full night in weeks."

"I'm getting better." I piled clothes in my arms and walked over to my trunk.

My mood dampened as Draco's arms left me and his memories and emotions left as well. I bent down and put the clothes in my trunk then turned around to Draco who was still by my dresser, looking at me as if he was useless and couldn't help.

I walked over to him and placed a kiss on his lips. "I'm alright." I fed my hands around his waist to feel his skin, a smile grew. "See?"

Draco sighed and leaned his forehead on mine. "You should call him."

At some point in our relationship I told Draco about my relationship with Sirius Black, then about the mirror to call him in case I ever needed someone to talk to.

I wrapped my arms around him more and laid my head on his chest, he held me closer. "My memories can't be your only support."

I closed my eyes and filled my mind with his memories and my nose with his cologne. "What if he doesn't want to speak with me?"

"He will, love. Of course he will." Draco kissed my head. "Where is the mirror?"

I opened my eyes. "Its in my room at Hogwarts. We left without packing last year."

Draco pulled away from me and tilted my head up to look at him. "As soon as we arrive I want you to go to your room and call him." He looked at me sternly. "Alright."

I nodded. "Alright." Draco leaned down and kissed my lips, I kissed back and wrapped my arms around Draco's neck.

Draco picked me up, I wrapped my legs around his waist as he carried me to the bed of clothes and books and laid me down. (I need more skin.)

I pulled Draco's shirt over his head, Draco kindly agreed by lifting his arms for it to come off then moved his hands to my shirt to unbutton it and pull it off my arms and away.

Draco leaned down to kiss me again, a chest full of skin pushed against me and i sucked it all in. Like a drug or alcohol that takes away everything and I can live off of Draco's happiness when he is with me.

Draco knelt on the bed but laid his upper half on me front, pressing his lips to mine. My legs were bent and spread to give Draco room, my arms around his neck and lips to his.

"Love?" Draco stopped kissing me. "We should pack." I calmed down and looked at him, his hand brushed my cheek. "Are you feeling better?" I nodded.

Draco searched my eyes while his eyes held sadness at seeing me with bags under my beautiful brown orbs. How my skin turned pale and face limp with the tiredness of life, my one bright and stubborn look turned dull.

Draco sighed and kissed me again. "I'm sorry, love." He rested his forehead to mine. "One day I will make you happy. One day I promise you will never look this way again."

I nodded. "I want to live at the beach house." Draco smiled softly and nodded. "I-I want to cook with you and... swim." I smiled softly. "Walk on the beach during sunrise and sunset."

Draco kissed my lips and lifted me off the bed and onto his lap. "I will give you that life." He pushed my head onto his shoulder and his moved to the crook of my neck. "We will have a good life together. I promise."

I closed my eyes and held him close. (I want a good future. I need one. I wish I knew our future.)

My eyes snapped open.(A child...children, family. The beach.)

My eyes weld with tears. "I know." I smiled and held Draco closer. "I know we will."

Draco leaned away and looked at my eyes. "Why are you crying?" He wiped my tears away.

I smiled. "Nothing. You make me happy." Draco smiled softly. "We should get packed."

"Alright." Draco kissed my lips and placed me back on the bed. "I want you to eat something small before we leave." I nodded.

Draco brushed my cheek again to take away the tears then handed me my shirt. I took it and put it on while he put his on and then we both went back to packing up. . . .

Draco lead me onto the train and towards the Slytherin car, helping me avoid and dodge other students which there weren't a lot due to the change of the world.

My hand was holding his as he pulled me, my wings were tucked behind me and Draco and my bag with our uniforms was in his other hand.

One other development was the butterfly on my shoulder... Miss Charity Burbage. I'm offering her my room since I never use it. I was going to let her roam free but I know there are Death Eaters and snatchers all over the place. So I brought her here until I can find a safe house. At least she can get meals here.

"We're here." Draco slowed down as we neared the door and looked at me. "Are you alright?" He squeezed my hand.

I nodded. "I'm good."

Draco nodded and turned back to the door, sliding it open then leading me into the train car and to a booth.

I sat down first while Draco put our case above on the racks. Students all around us who's families were close to the Dark Lord looked at us, they knew what happened to us over the break. I can see their thoughts.

Draco sat down. "Don't mind them." He said quietly and took my hand. "Look at me, not them." I looked at Draco. "Did you bring your blindfold?"

I shook my head. "Last time I had it was with Dolohov."

Draco sighed. "Alright. Try and get some sleep." He squeezed my hand, I curled up to his side and closed my eyes as I leaned on his shoulder. "I love you, Solace."

I smiled. "I love you too." Draco's thumb rubbed in circles on the back of mine. . . .

"Love?" Draco brushed my hair from my face. "We are here."

"Mmm." I hummed as I woke from my much needed sleep, but unfortunately it was a short nap like every night. "A little more?"

"I gave you as much time as I could, love." I sighed and inched my eyes open to see an empty train. "Do you feel better?"

I looked at Draco and the butterfly on his shoulder. "Yes." He smiled and kissed me before moving out of the bench and helping me get out as well. "Everyone knows about us by now." I looked at our connected hands with our rings.

Draco grabbed the case from above. "Everyone stared the whole time." He scowled. "I would hand scolded them but I didn't want to wake you."

"Uh-oh." I smiled softly.

Draco's brows furrowed. "What?"

I moved closer to him and kissed him. "Draco Lucius Malfoys gone soft." Draco rolled his eyes. "The whole school has flipped upside down. They can't even rely on their notorious snob of a bully Draco Malfoy."

"Shut it." Draco sighed and led me to the exit. "I haven't grown soft." He mumbled.

I smiled. "Of course. But the butterfly on your shoulder isn't helping." He rolled his eyes and Charity flew to my shoulder. "I need to take her to my room first."

Draco nodded. "When you're there get the mirror." I frowned, Draco sighed. "Solace-."

"I will."

Draco and I walked off the train and onto the plate form. His hand squeezed mine as we walked down the darker then usual path and into the grounds of Hogwarts.

Draco helped me into the carriage then he got on and we headed to the castle, the castle that looked eerie and dark.

I frowned. "Do you remember our first time here?" Draco recalled the memory and I smiled softly. "Yes. And our first meeti-." I chuckled lightly as I watched, then it moved to our first conversation at the table and Draco's mood dampened, I turned to him. "Hey."

Draco smiled softly. "I know." He leaned over and kissed me. "I didn't mean to look at that."

"It's alright. Just know that was long ago."

Draco sighed. "But I feel like I am losing you."

"You won't." I kissed him again.
