Ch 111

The bird has left the nest. Kabuto has gone to see Sasori, who is already dead. Too bad, I always wanted to know how he would react if we saw each other again. 

I was currently making my way to Orochimaru's room, he had personally made me a damn lab rat, along with Sasuke, but I also was now immune to most of the poisons. Wasn't in vain, but it was hardly worth it. 

Seems we're going to discuss something, is it of grave importance? Who knows, I'll find out when I get there. 

I make it to the hall he was in and intentionally make my steps more heavy and loud. Knocking on his door seemed too polite in my mind and left a bad taste in my mouth. 

While I didn't need to make myself audible to be detected by him, I'd rather have a backup plan if he were not somehow not to sense me. 

Opening the door, I lean against the frame, not going in any further. Orochimaru was facing me, an amused smile still etched onto his face. 

"Ishi, always a pleasure to see your face." 

I raised a brow at his words, looking utterly unamused. He had seen me a few days prior and always looked to start off our conversations like he hadn't seen each other much. Or very comfortable like, it was unsettling. 

"Orochimaru, why did you want to see me?" 

I crossed my arms as I sensed a rat in the hall. 

"Nothing in particular." 

His voice was teasing, like he was having the most fun in his life. Granted he always sounded like that, even more with the two Uchihas he had. 

"You're leaving the hideout for a bit, aren't you?" 

I kept my voice calm, ignoring all the annoying bits. It doesn't matter that I shouldn't have known about him leaving, I just wanted to get the conversation going. 

"That I am, but I wanted to tell you some interesting news I found out." 

Glad he went straight to the point, if I had to do a back and forth then I would have walked away. And Sasuke wouldn't get his little eavesdropping time. 

"What is it?" I asked, mildly interested. 

It's never a quiet day with these guys, there's always something. Orochimaru smirked, looking mischievous as he leaned back in his chair, getting comfortable. 

"I must say, your chakra is very unique." 

Definitely not what I was thinking he was going to say. He's been holding that smile in for a second, I know he was waiting for the perfect change to say this to me. Does he think I know anything about this? 

"Is it? I haven't noticed anything, granted I don't use mine a lot," I'm not even going to find it. He wouldn't say such ridiculous things to me for no reason. Also, if he was going to lie about something that is my specialty then it wouldn't be something I could easily disprove. 

"Yes, it's very..." 

He trailed off as he thought about the right words to say. When it came to him, it only made me want to bang my head against the wall. 

"...Unique." 

To be honest, I don't even try to figure it out. He might as well speak like the White Queen from Alice in wonderland. I'll look into this myself later, this conversation will go nowhere. 

"I know you're leaving, why is that?" 

Switching topics because I don't care for his nonsense. Also to show him that I do know some things, but not all. Well, at least in his eyes. 

If I knew too much then I could threaten him more easily. I don't need a weary Orochimaru to deal with, he's always that way. We're both walking on eggshells and it's annoying. 

But to my question, orochimaru only smirked. Keeping silent about the topic. Just great, he's being secretive about going to get Kabuto. 

Doesn't matter. 

Taking a seal from my pocket, I threw it to him. He caught it easily and glanced lazily at it. 

"What's this?" 

He barely spared the seal a glance as he asked me. 

"If you see Naruto looking all red and scary, touch him with this. Doesn't matter if it is a second, do it." 

That seemed to get both of their attention as orochimaru finally took a good look at the seal. Memorizing and analyzing it in its entirety. 

"What makes you think I'll meet him on the way?" 

Orochimaru looked at me suspiciously, curious and cautious. He always seems to have the right questions and concerns, his intelligence shouldn't be insulted. Much. 

"I never said you'd meet him today, this will be general meetings. He is looking for Sasuke." 

I shrug off his silent accusations as I rolled my eyes. At the mention of Naruto, I felt Sasuke exhale softly. In which way, only he would know. 

I raise my hand behind me and reach out of the room, beckoning Sasuke to come here. Sasuke was originally leaning against the wall listening, while he was hiding his presence, it wasn't a good job. 

It was sloppy but if he was caught, he could pass it off as not caring enough to do a good job. He learned from the best. 

He walked in the room, leaning against the other side of the frame, mirroring me. Orochimaru didn't even blink his eyes Sasuke's way, keeping his gaze entirely on me. 

"Oh, I almost forgot, I was teaching you a new jutsu this afternoon, right Sasuke?" 

Only then did he look at Sasuke, amusement visible in his expression. Sasuke hummed in acknowledgment, also not batting an eyelash in orochimaru's direction. Looked like Orochimaru annoyed him with those words. 

He would never forget that, he is after Sasuke's body.
