Ch 31

23:32, 3 September 2023

I ran.

As fast as I could.

Too much had happened for me to even think straight. I didn't know where I was going, but I didn't go straight. I went to the left.

I need a map. I need to get a better map.

I've been running for three days, and it seems I have gone to the village hidden in the rain. It was a cloudy day but the moment I passed the river, it was straight up a thunderstorm.

I put the hood of my cloak over my head, no need for people to see how young I am. I made it to the heart of the city and found a pub. I put on the voice of an old lady and hunch my back, "excuse me sir, do you know where I can get a map and something for the road?"

A rain shinobi turned to me with a scowl but pointed to a shop across the street. I nodded to him and went there.

But I saw a few of them looking at me like prey.

"Better make this quick" I muttered, as I went into the shop. I got a few new bandages, some food for the road. And a map.

I looked at the window and saw the shinobi who were sketchy coming out of the shop and towards the one I'm in.

"Shit," I frowned.

I'm still not healed completely, and I never learned medical ninjutsu. I'm hoping there aren't many of them.

I head to the shop owner, "is this all?"

I narrowed my eyes at his rude tone, "this is all dear" I kept my old lady voice.

"Fine" he grumbled, he kept looking behind me.

He's with them.

My guard is up now, I know I'm in danger. I paid for my things and slowly walked out of the shop.

There they were.

I continued to walk down the street, and they followed.

I noticed something flying above me.

It was a piece of paper. It was Konan, she was watching us.

I rolled my eyes and moved to an alleyway. The shinobi, quickly seeing their chance, trapped me. It was a deadend. I turned around as they all started to sinisterly laugh.

"Finally, the old hag is ours," they still think they're going to rob an old lady.

Good.

The pieces of paper are still above us, it seemed like the shinobi were ignoring it. I reached into my pockets and took out my war fans.

If they want a fight, I'll make them regret it.

"Hey granny, why don't you give us your bag nicely."

I groaned and put my bag down, "gentlemen, please." I turn my sharingan on, "you're not my type."

There are 8 shinobi, all over the age of 30. They have experience and skill, while I don't. I'm already at a disadvantage.

My life is on the line.

I raise both my hands in the air, my fans folded and ready for action. Remember, it's a dance. They are just a bunch of old men who want to take and hurt others for money and fun. Anyone who wants to hurt an old lady doesn't deserve my mercy.

I watch as 5 of them dart to me. Two of them seem to have more speed on their side.

I need to get rid of them first.

The other 3 are obviously the muscle, they can be dealt with later.

The 3 still standing are long range, I need to keep an eye on them.

The sound of rain drops, and heavy breathing.

The first guy speedily tried to cut my throat while the other one aimed for my stomach.

I feel the cool touch of my metal war fans, sharp and light.

I watched them through my sharingan, their movement slowing only for me. In one sharp movement, I opened my fans and brought my left arm down and my right arm sideways.

The kunai that was to cut my neck was now pushed to his partner's head and cut his cheek. The other kunai that was to slice my stomach was now maneuvered into his partner's arm.

The smell of salt from the rain, and iron from the blood makes my senses sharp.

In the next moment I jumped in the air as their confusion took hold of them and kicked them both in the head. They flew towards the others as they caught them. I didn't give them a chance to recover as I sprinted to them at full speed.

The taste of salt, as I am covered in rain.

A shinobi started weaving hand signs for a genjutsu, but what they didn't know was that genjutsu doesn't work on my sharingan.

Rain shinobi also have a propensity for genjutsu, which luckily for me, doesn't work.

It didn't even get me to think about it.

Taking advantage of their confusion I folded a fan and bashed it on one of their heads and with my other fan I tried to cut someone's neck. They blocked with their arms which I made sure was a deep cut.

I jumped and spun around and back kicked a guy in the head, making him fall to the ground.

With another guy I put him in a genjutsu, which someone got him out of soon after.

One guy in the back started weaving hand signs for water style which I quickly jumped back.

"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" I blew out a giant fire style, which was weakened by the rain. But it was still powerful.

I took out many Kunai and threw them right behind the fireball. It got one guy in the leg and another in the shoulder. The others were deflected.

It seems like there are 6 left.

I brought my fans back out of 2 guys raised their hands in the fighting stance.

Taijutsu it is.

One guy put chakra in his fist and he got ready for a punch. If that hit me, I'd be done for. He tried to punch me, but I used my fan to redirect his punch away from me. He hit the ground, breaking it and making rocks fly everywhere.

I then stabbed his shoulder before kicking it.

He's out, 5 left.

The 2 long range fighters started throwing all their kunai at me. It seemed like they didn't care for their friends. I raised both my fans, opening them at the last moment. I redirected them all.

Hitting them slightly to change the trajectory away from me.

I then kicked the guy coming from behind me in the balls as hard as I could.

4 more.

I smirked and threw one of my fans at a long range guy, hitting him point blank range in the face. Knocking him out instantly.

3 left.

I took a step forward but faltered. I'm tired.

I still see pieces of paper in the sky, so they are watching everything.

Well, this was a good test run. But I'm getting tired and there are still 3 more guys left.

It's time for the big guns.

"It's the angel!" They all looked up to see her as I ran as fast as I could. When they realized I was lying, I was already a good distance away.

"After her!" I didn't look back but I knew they were on my tail. After a good few minutes I noticed that they weren't catching up. But they weren't following behind either.

I smirked, they are stronger than me but we are equal in speed.

I tried to run straight, not going in twists or turns because I'm at a disadvantage. I don't know this village, but they do.

This is their home, not mine.

Home...

I ran and ran, hoping not to get cornered.

Luckily I didn't, I saw the end of the village.

I flipped the shinobi behind me off and ran across the river and out of the hidden in the rain. They stopped chasing me after I crossed the river.

Now that I was safe, I started to walk.

There was no danger so I should conserve my energy. I was in the land of Wind now, but I was closer to the Rain and Stone villages than the Sand.

Now it was a lot of forests with a few patches of flat land but it was peaceful.

Until I saw black cloaks with red clouds coming my way.

It was the Akasuki.

Only two of them but that was enough for me to be wary. I kept on walking normally, not showing any fear or excitement. I kept my hood on and stared straight ahead of me, not looking at either one.

I saw Samehada and knew that it was Kisame.

Plus the very creepy one next to him was obviously Sasori.

Just my luck.

I looked past them without incident, and kept walking without any faults. But that wasn't what they thought.

"Hey" I heard Kisame from behind me, "come here."

I pretended like I didn't hear him and kept walking without making any sudden movements. Kisame then jumped from where he was and landed in front of me, he put Samehada in front of me as a threat.

"Hello dear, did you say something?" I said in an old lady's voice. I didn't react to the threat and kept my face hidden.

"What is this about?" Came the gruff voice from Sasori's puppet. I think his name was Hiruko.

"I don't want to make the others wait," I stood still, not moving an inch.

"Dear, did I do something?" I slowly raised my gloved hand to my mouth to make it appear I'm surprised.

Kisame smirked, "You're suspicious." I frowned "What suspicious thing did I do?"

I didn't do anything suspicious.

Kasame chuckled "absolutely nothing, that's why it was suspicious." I rolled my eyes, thank god they can't see my face.

Sasori hummed in thought "the voice sounds like that of an old woman, but your mannerism is lacking."

I scoffed in my head, that's not a good reason to stop me.

"Take off your hood" Kisame held Samehada closer to me as a threat of I don't comply.

I signed and went back to my normal voice as I took my hood off.

"Your reasoning is lacking too" I grumbled, I narrowed my eyes at Kisame as Sasori came beside him to see my face.

"It's just a brat" he scoffed, Kisame just chuckled "this brat is a calm one in the face of danger."

I frowned as Sasori came very close to me, "I'm not above killing children." I tilted my head to the side as I glared at him, "I know you aren't."

Kisame smirked and raised Samehada to my neck. "don't get cocky, you're outmatched." I chuckled darkly, "I may be a kid, but I'm not stupid."

Sasori narrowed his eyes before bringing his scorpion tail out and making it push me closer to him.

"You would make a pretty puppet, a useless one, but a pretty one," I'm not sure how to feel about this.

Kisame hasn't put his sword down from my neck yet "how are you not stupid?" I hummed "I know who you are. Monster of the hidden mist, and Sasori of the red sand."

They both didn't react or move a muscle.

Then Sasori hummed "not stupid, but still an idiot," I frowned "I was trying to pass you without making a fuss. You two had different plans."

Kisame chuckled "I like your fire kid" Samehada was still to my neck so I decided to do something stupid.

I touched the tip of Samehada gently to not cut myself. I immediately felt my chakra start to leave my body but I didn't move my hand. Kisame had a curious look as Sasori narrowed his eyes further.

I saw Samehada unraveled from the bandages around it and expanded a bit. I saw it's mouth open and I could see it getting bigger. When I felt enough chakra was given, I pulled my hand away.

Samehada looked pleased, even though I had no idea how it showed emotion.

"Samehada likes your Chakra" Kisame noted, I hummed in response.

"You are an idiot" Sasori said again, I just hummed.

Kisame rolled his eyes and put away Samehada "I would like to fight you when you're older, try to survive until then."

Sasori nodded "you are lucky today brat, but next time won't be the same."

I chuckled darkly, "I'll show you," Sasori narrowed his eyes. "I can still kill you," I nodded, "but you don't want to be late."

Sasori glared before looking at Kisame "let's go" Kisame hummed and started walking "what's your name kid?" I looked back at them, my gaze determined to survive.

"Ishi, my name is my will to live. Don't you forget it!"

A/n Longest chapter in a while, over 2100 words. I usually like to have a least 1000 words each chapter so you all have a 'nice meal'. I would say this is the end of part one, or pre Naruto. The next few Chapters will be of Ishi's time away from the village, because 3/4 years is a long time. So have fun with that! Enjoy~
