11 (Epilogue)

11:  Awakened

3 Years Later...

I was now officially a part of the crew. We've seen the world & I couldn't be happier. Hongjoong says there is a treasure that would give me exactly what I want. To truly feel emotions... We've searched far & wide. He seems keen that we'll find it this time. 

I even officially have my own nickname amongst the crew (which is Little Blue). Why little blue ? It is supposed to coincide with the little blue bird which stands for happiness. The boat soon docked & everyone split off into three groups to go looking for the treasure we seek. 

Team A: Captain Hongjoong, Seonghwa, & Yunho

Team B: Yeosang, San, Mingi

Team C: Wooyoung, Jongho, & I

Wooyoung shoved me playfully, slightly knocking me into Jongho. "So ?" I awkwardly smiled as we began searching for the treasure that may be hidden here. "뭐라고요? 왜 그렇게 쳐다봐요?" (What ? Why are you looking at me like that ?) Wooyoung chuckled as he looked around as well. "What is the deal with you & Yunho, Narae ah ? You've both been super close since you said your goodbyes a few years ago."

I sighed as I pinned my hair up. "Why does that matter ? We're just close..." Wooyoung motioned for Jongho to give his opinion. Much to my embarrassment Jongho interjected, "윤호 형이랑 나래아는 그냥 친하지 않아요. 그는 당신에게 전적으로 관심을 기울이며 오히려 당신을 보호하는 것처럼 보입니다. 제가 그렇게 생각하는 게 잘못된 건가요?" (Yunho hyung & you aren't just close, Narae ah. He gives you his complete attention & seems rather protective of you. Am I wrong in thinking so ?)

There was no denying it anymore. Even with our lack in emotional responses, Yunho & I are rather involved. I enjoy being close with him & he has become increasingly protective, as well as comfortable with me. Not that we were putting a label on whatever we were at the moment...

Wooyoung stepped somewhere & the ground beneath us dropped a level. Once we got our bearings I noticed something shining in the light coming from up above where we previously were.

"Grab whatever it is, Narae ah. You're closer to it." Without much effort I grabbed the shining object. Turns out it was a necklace that resembled Yeosang' in a way. Like the me from my vision... The wall behind it opened, showing treasure no one would've thought we'd find.

It wasn't long before the others joined us, & we began loading stuff onto the ship. I put the necklace we found on. I was up one minute & then there was pitch black darkness.

Next thing I know, I woke up in my room on the ship. Yunho at my bedside & Hongjoong stood by the door. "당신이 살아 있어서 정말 기뻐요, 나래아!" (I am so glad you're alive, Narae ah !), Yunho said crying. I looked to Hongjoong. "What is going on ?" Hongjoong sighed as he gestured to his neck & pointed at me. "We can feel now. I think it had something to do with the necklace. You passed out as soon as you had put it on, Narae."

I noticed I was still wearing the necklace when I looked down. Subconsciously I touched the necklace. "We all have emotions now ? Because of this necklace ?" My questions were answered with simple nods from both Hongjoong & Yunho. Just what had we dug out ?

A little bit later I had come out of my room for some fresh air on the deck when I screamed. This woke everyone up as they were worried about me after me passing out earlier. Something was almost perfectly burned into the deck.
