6: A Tale Of Two Brothers

"It's Mingi, right ?" I asked as he continuously punched the punching bag before him. He was covered in what looked like ash. However, this was a ship. I am not entirely sure what substance stained his clothes & his exposed skin. "맞아요. 저 민기예요." (You're right. I am Mingi.)

I sat on the side of him where he could easily see me, but keep his focus. "I spoke with Yunho earlier. He said you were is brother." Mingi grinned, but kept his focus. He seemed to be extremely happy Yunho had told me this. I am guessing people give them a hard time for not really being siblings.

"Yunho is my brother. We're a package deal & some people can't handle that..." I could tell they were very close & most of all valued the others opinions. "How did you meet Yunho then ?" Mingi stopped his focus as he glanced at me for a moment. "I had no one & had nothing. I couldn't even get a loaf a bread without merchants thinking I was just going to steal it. That all changed the day I met Yunho."

His eyes glossed over in admiration & gratefulness as he thought back on when he met his brother. "윤호는 활기찬 젊은 느낌을 줄 수 있지만, 그는 보호적입니다. 그날 탈출하는 걸 도와주지 않았다면요..." (Yunho may give off energetic youthful vibes, but he is protective. If he hadn't helped me escape that day...) I finished his statement for him, "You would've had a more horrid fate ?" Mingi let a singular punch cut through the silence. "If it wasn't for Yunho... I would be dead."

"Does Yunho come from a wealthy family ? Is that why his help to you is much appreciated ?" Mingi nodded before his eyes traveled over to where Yunho was happily talking with Seonghwa & Yeosang. "It's true. Yunho' status is what helped save my life. I can never thank him enough for that."

"그래서 언제부터 형제자매라고 부르기 시작했나요?" (So when did you start addressing yourselves as siblings ?) Mingi goofily grinned as he put on what I assume would be a younger Yunho voice, "From now on you're my brother, Mingi ah. No one will hurt you again if I have anything to say about it. Okay ?" I laughed as I found this adorable.

"How did you both end up on this ship ?" Mingi sighed as his focus was back on the punching bag. "I wanted to leave and Yunho always loved the idea of traveling. That is when we stumbled up this ship' captain. He was the only person that was willing to take us both aboard. No excuses."

soon enough Mingi' complete focus was once again back on the punching bag, & I wandered the ship for a bit. This when I bumped into someone...
