Author's Note: Hi, all! I am going to try and update this story as often as possible. Hope you stick with it! Love all of your comments, so please continue to do so xx

Even though you turned off your alarm, you can almost still hear the beeping. It's probably your least favorite sound in the world.

"Y/N?" FRIDAY's voice calls to you again.

You run your hand down your face, "I'm up, I'm up." You throw your legs over the side of your bed and get dressed in leggings and a baggy t-shirt before heading to the main room.

"There you are!" Clint looks up and takes in your appearance. "Geez, you look..."

You stick a mug under the coffee machine, "Choose your next words very wisely, Archer."

He clears his throat, "Just as bad as Loki."

As you spoke, you had walked over to get some creamer from the fridge, but Clint's mention of Loki causes you to almost drop it, "What?"

Clint nods to the couches, "Looks like he didn't get much sleep either."

Loki's eyes meet yours, and you're pulled back into the dream from last night, feeling Loki's body pressed into yours against the island. Everything felt so real. Even this.

"Y/N," Clint puts a hand on your elbow.

That contact brings you back, "Yea."

"Maybe you need more sleep?" the concern is clear in Clint's voice.

You take a breath in, "Yea. Something like that."

Clint walks away and you start eating some breakfast. The tower is quiet today; some of the team are still on small missions.

You trace your plate with your fork, and when you look-up again a few minutes later, Loki is still looking directly at you.

Which is all it takes.

You put your mug more forcefully down on the counter, march over to Loki, and drag him by the elbow out onto the balcony, "What do you want now?"

Loki has an unreadable emotion on his face, "I....nothing."

"Really?" your eyebrows raise. "Then why have you been staring at me like you kn...." and then it hits you. "Did you...did you put that dream in my head?!"

At the mention of the dream, Loki now gets thrown back into the same dream, the feeling of your hands around his neck, making their way down through the buttons of his shirt.

"LOKI!" you seethe when he doesn't reply.

He shifts his standing and brings his eyes back to yours, "What was your dream about?"

You want to yell more, but Loki's nervous look completely derails you, "We..."

You're lost for words, trying to make sense of literally everything, so you don't even realize that Loki's moved closer until you feel his hand brush yours, "Y/N..."

A chill mixed with goosebumps and a tingle goes up your entire arm, to under your ear.

Your throat becomes dry and your fingers naturally start wrapping themselves around Loki's.

When you feel his thumb move across the top of your hand, you pull your hand away, "Argued. Nothing unusual for us." You look down and then anywhere but Loki, "Tony was looking for me." You turn quickly and go back inside.

----------------------------------------

Tony talked with you and Pepper about a party for the weekend, which was now today. It got your mind off of everything with Loki, and luckily you didn't really see him for the few days leading up to today. You made it a point to avoid Loki, but it was probably mutual.

"So nothing more from that date you went on?" Nat questions as you sit with her at the bar.

You swish your drink around in your glass, "No. It...didn't work out."

"That just means they were a loser and not good enough for you," Nat clinks your glass.

"What are we celebrating?" Sam comes and stands next to you.

"How men suck," Nat spins on her seat to face him.

Sam follows and clinks his glass with yours as well, "Good thing I'm Cinderella then."

"Just don't ask me for $20," Nat says before leaving.

You turn on your stool all the way around, and Sam leans his back against the bar counter, both of you scanning over the room.

"So. Anyone catch your eye?" Sam takes a drink.

You bump into his arm, "Not you too!" You and Sam laugh, "But, $5 says that Nat is interviewing the room for me."

Sam now nudges your arm, "Well, the guy in the green suit, at about your 4 o'clock, hasn't taken his eyes off of you."

You try to fight looking. Without even looking, you know who Sam is talking about. Even with all of your might, your gaze is drawn like a magnet, over to Loki. He's in his form from the mission you had both been sent on.

"Damn," you're not sure if the word slips out because you haven't seen Loki in a few days, or because of how well he can wear a suit.

Sam leans forward to see your reaction, a small smile appearing on his face, "That's it. Come on." He puts his drink down and does the same to yours, "We're dancing."

Suddenly, you're being pulled off of the stool, "What? No. Sam!" You try to protest, but he drags you to the center of the room.

"Time to make him even more green, but this time with jealousy," Sam pulls you to him and you start to dance.
