Chapter 12 - Lucy?

LUCY POV

After me and Luna run off from Laxus, we decided that before we heading home, we would go pick up a cake from our number one bakery, so we can have it for dessert tonight.

Luna sprints off into the Bakery, with me following closely behind. She was like a never ending energy source, I wonder exactly where it is got that from. I shake my head, to banish the thought of him from mind. 

Entering the store, Luna was already eyeing up the cake she wanted, her hands and face, pressing up against the glass casing.

I bet down beside Luna."Mummy, can we get the strawberry cake? please!" Luna begged. I nodded "Okay"

I got back up and to my shock. "Lucy?" Erza looked back at me with a dumbfounded look, that matched mimicked mine. "Ehh, Erza" I said shocked. Maybe I never got enough sleep last night and I must be seeing things.

I rubbed my eyes, but the person in from of me never disappeared. It was actually Erza. That was when suddenly Erza came flying around the counter and hugged me so tightly I thought my spine was about to snap. "Lucy, I've missed you so much." Erza sobs.

"Ahh mummy. who's this?" Luna shyly hides behind me.

Erza looked confused "Mummy" She said, looking over Luna.

"Erza this is my daughter Luna." I move aside to introduce Luna to Erza. "Luna this is your aunty Erza." I say softly.

"Aunty Erza." She says. I nod. Erza bends down to her level, holding out her hand to greet Luna. At first Luna hesitated, but then accepted Erza's hand shake.

"You have your mothers eyes, but your hair, reminds me of-" "Natsu." I mumble. My heart stopped. "Lucy." Natsu says in utter shock.

"Natsu what are you doing here?" Erza says surprised. Natsu didn't say a word and just walked over to me. I backed up, but came to an abrupt halt, hitting the counter. Natsu took this opportunity to throw his arms around me, not even giving me a chance to refuse. "I'm so sorry Lucy... I've been looking for you ever since Gramps told me......I'm sorry I lied to you." Natsu apologized, hugging me even tighter.

To be suddenly embraced by him again, I didn't know what to do. My head was telling me to push him off, but my heart..... My heart.... Then I felt a tug on my skirt. "Mummy, this strange man has the same hair color as me." Luna said puzzled.

Natsu, then let go of me and looked down at Luna. "You have a daughter?" Natsu questions. I needed to get out of here quickly before he figures it out. "Luna honey, we better get going. It was great seeing you all again. But we really should be going." I quickly grab Luna's hand, and made my way out the door.

"Mummy what about the cake" "We can make one." I snapped. "Lucy. Wait!" Natsu and Erza said in unison.

Why after so long, my heart belongs to Laxus and Luna. How could there still be room for him, I love Laxus. But why is my heart yearning or him. No this isn't good. "Lucy" Natsu shouts as he chases after us. Why now, why does my heart ache right now. Why are there tears falling. Suddenly I feel Luna let go of my hand. "Daddy!" She says so happily.

I snap my eyes to Laxus. I stopped just an inch away from smacking into him. But Laxus was not looking at or paying attention to me. I turn to see Natsu standing there. "Dad?" Natsu mutters in shock. My body shaking. What do I do? What do I say, I don't know.

All of a sudden, I feel Laxus place his hands on the sides of my shoulders, and forced me up against his chest. I place my hand on his chest, I could feel and hear his heart beating so fast.

"You have no business here!" Laxus says in such a deep intimidating voice. "Lucy, I came to bring you back." Natsu ignoring Laxus. I felt Luna cling to my leg. I snapped my eyes to her. That smiling face of hers had disappeared, she looked scared. I bent down and quickly hugged her. "Its okay mummy and daddy are here." I whispered. what was I doing, I have to protect that smile of hers, and most of all she can't find out that Laxus is not her dad.

"Mummy, why is my hair the same color as that mans." Luna questions again. I hugging her tightly, We need to get out of here. I pick Luna up and stand side my side to Laxus. "If we stay an-" "Okay" Laxus agrees, as he follows beside us.

"Lu-" I stop. "It was really good seeing you again Natsu... But I have no intention of going back." I declare, as I continue to walk off.

"She's my daughter." Natsu screams, causing his voice to echo all around us. I stop in horror. my eyes widen and my heart skipped at beat. Luna pressed  back, to look at me. "Who's his daughter mummy?" Luna asks.

"I think he's just confused. It's nothing to worry about sweetie." Trying to deceive her.

"Daddy's going to take you home  okay. My has something I need to do." I kissed her on the forehead, before handing her to Laxus.

. "Lucy." Laxus says wry.

I caress his cheek, I could tell that even though he thinks of Luna as his own daughter, knowing that she was not his flesh and blood and that her real father could someday take his place was terrifying to him. Knowing that he maybe replaced, if Luna was to discover her real father.

"I'll be okay. Just take care off our daughter." I kiss Laxus.

I watch them as they walk off down the street. Luna peeping over Laxus's shoulder, as she waved. "I love you mummy." Luna Shouts. My mouth forms the words I love you too.

Now it was time to face the fire. I looked  back at Natsu, standing there with an unreadable expression. I'm not ready for this, just a moment ago, I was only acting like I had things under control. But in all honesty I was trembling, but there was no way I could let Laxus or Luna see that. it would only worry them both.
