Don't call a bunch of one-shots a fully fledged 'fic'.

Write more fan fictions based on actual stories rather than celebrities.

Stop calling eyes 'orbs' or 'optics' just to sound fancy.

Don't have a perfect protagonist.

Do some research before jumping into stories just like that. (Eg: read the book thouroughly before pushing a character into the story.)
