Chapter twelve

"I'm just gonna go to the toilet" I tell Ni-Ki, before getting up and leaving the room

I'm not actually going to the toilet

I'm going to see what the fuck Heeseungs problem is

I spot him in Jays room, lying on his bed on his phone

"What's your problem?" I ask walking in and shutting the door behind me

"Don't know what you're talking about" He doesn't even turn to look at me

"You know exactly what I'm talking about"

"Since when did you grow a back bone? Wouldn't dare say a word to those girls, so why me?" He finally sits up and looks at me

"And why are you bringing that up?"

"Because you blew me off, we arranged something because you couldn't stand up for yourself and now you're blowing me off to go on a date?"

"You were almost an hour late last time because of a girl?!" I exclaim pissed off

"At least I showed up" he stands up and walks towards me

"Couldn't have told me you were gonna be late though? I was stood there like a loser!"

"That's because you are a loser!"

"Oh fuck you Heeseung, I can do what I want"

"Yeah so can I, at least I showed up" He repeats

"I told you I didn't know if I could make it!" I argue

"Yeah but you also said it was family stuff, unless Ni-Ki is suddenly your brother and you're into some wierd shit, you lied to me"

"I don't have to tell you everything!"

"At least tell me if you're not gonna come, I was waiting for hours!"

"Seemingly not that long since you showed up here!"

"Yeah because you didn't even text me to let me know that you couldn't come!"

"You didn't text me either! At least I told you that I might not make it, you were late to go fuck some girl who is so obsessed with you!"

"I mean god, can't you keep it in your pants for once!"

"Says you! You were just cuddled up with Ni-Ki!"

"At least he's a decent human being who doesn't go around bullying and quite literally beating girls who are associated with you!"

"W-what?" He asks confused, his tone softening

"You heard me, Ha-eun you fucking dumbass, she's the one you were fucking while I was stood like a weirdo, wasn't she?"

"What do you mean she's bulling and beating people?"

"What do you think? You think it was some random girl the other day?" I scoff

"So what? You could've stood up for yourself, but no the little Haerin can't grow a fucking backbone!" And he's back

"I mean what do you think Ni-Ki will think? You think he'll be happy the only ever girl he's been interested in is a fucking pussy?!"

"Well he doesn't care, seeing as he's the one who fucking helped me!"

"Unlike you who just calls me shit all the goddam time!"

"Wednesday, you better be there" He opens the door and tries to walk away but i shout after him

"Are you kidding me?! Go fuck yourself, or better yet, go fuck Ha-eun insyead"

"You see Haerin, you just showed me you can stand up for yourself and honestly im shocked, I never thought you had it in you, so instead of at me, use it on the people who actually bully you"

"And not the ones who saved your ass when you were about to jump off a building"

He didn't

I knew he knew it was me

Are you fucking kidding me?!

"Are you being for real right now?" I grab his arm and shove him into the bathroom, shutting the door behind me

"What?" He asks

"Why the fuck are you bringing that up?!"

"Well it's true isn't it?" He takes a step towards me and looks down at me

"Still no need" I stammer nervously

"Well I'm not having you put all of your problems onto one of my best friends, and that's exactly why i agreed to help you in the first place"

"So either you put your everything into him and stay a little fucking mental health case or you put the effort into bettering yourself and being able to stand up for yourself"

"W-what? You're making me choose?!"

"Yeah, I am" He responds coldly

"No, Heeseung, you don't get to fucking do that" I spit at him harshly

"Then keep you and Ni-Ki on the down low, and don't let him get in the way" He grabs my arm and moves me so he can walk out

"Be there on Wednesday" He opens the door and I immediately hear someone else's voice

"Haerin?" I peak out and see Ni-Ki staring at me with an unreadable expression on his eyes

The others come over and all look at us shocked

"Are you two...?" Ni-Ki asks

"What no?!" I push Heeseung out of the way and walk out of the bathroom

"I just needed to talk to him about something, that's all" I try to reassure him

"Okay" He tightens his lips and nods, walking away from me

"Ni-Ki, I'm being serious" I run after him and grab his arm so he turns to look at me

"No it's fine, Haerin, he just charms everybody" He shrugs

"Nothing is going on between us, I promise"

"We heard half of the argument, Haerin, there's clearly something" He pushes me off gently and walks to the front door

"Listen it's getting late, so I'm just gonna head home" He tells everyone and walks out the door

"Seriously?" Jay scoffs at me and runs after him

"Nothing happened!" I yell at everybody, just reading their expressions, I turn to look at Heeseung so he can confirm it, but he keeps his mouth shut

"Jiwon?" I look at my best friend

"I believe you, it just looks a little wierd" She stands by my side

"She wouldn't do anything like that" Jiwon tells everyone and not one of them says anything

"Will you tell them nothing happened?!" I yell at Heeseung and I swear I can see the left side of his lip creep up into a small smirk

"You wanted this? Didn't you?" I push him out of the way and run out the front door, watching Jay walk back up, he walks past me and nudges my shoulder, not saying a word

I watch as Ni-ki speeds away, leaving me standing here
