Chapter 4- Yashiro's POV

Writers note- ⚠️this chapter contains spoilers⚠️ in just here to tell you that this takes place after Yashiro finds out she is going to die since that is included in this chapter!Yesterday was amazing, Hanako made me such a nice picnic and we sat together... he was so nice to me. Okay maybe I do like him...I woke up the next day in a good mood, it felt almost as if something amazing was going to happen today. I shrugged it off thinking today was just going to be another ordinary day at school.I sat through the first half of the day waiting for lunch, the class dragged on and on.. then the bell finally rang. I jumped out of my seat and left.I approached the girls washroom and opened the door, I saw Hanako looking out the window as if something was upsetting him. "Hey Hanako!" I say in an excited tone."Oh, hello Yashiro.""Is something wrong?" I ask slightly concerned, it was probably just some ghost thing but I feel the need to ask."It's nothing really I'm just kind of nervous..""Nervous?""I- uh I-it's nothing I just need you to meet me here, without the kou kid.""To clean?""Uh yeah cleaning." He forced a smile. I hugged him and said, "Well I'm sure it's nothing to extreme to worry about!" Smiling at Hanako. "Ah thanks Yashiro.." he smiled for real this time.-skip to free period-I stumble upon Kou Kun during my free period, "Oh hey Kou Kun!""Hey Yashiro!" I remember I need to tell him about Hanako not wanting him to come clean."Oh by the way, Hanako wanted me to let you know that he didn't want you to come clean today."Kou looked hurt and confused, "B-But why? Actually you know what I don't care, as long as you make sure he doesn't do anything." He beamed, "if he does I exorcise his ass!" He said with a grin.I giggled, "Okay, I better get back to my class, bye kou kun!""Bye Yashiro senpai!"-skip to after school-I walked to the girls bathroom, I don't know why Hanako didn't want kou there but I won't fight his logic. I opened the door and saw Hanako waiting for me. "Hey Hanako!" "Yashiro w-we need to talk.." he said looking down."What is it?""You know how your going to to die in the next year.." how could I forget about that, it's true I am going to die but I want to make the most of it."Yeah I guess so.""Well.." he paused in silence then all of a sudden. "Yashiro I love you! A-and I need to tell you this before you die.." I stood there shocked. "I know this sounds crazy but I want to marry you, when you die we can be together forever!" I could see tears in his eyes."I-I love you too Hanako... but I don't know what to say..""Then don't say anything." He said calmly and then...He kissed me.
