Epilogue
16:43, 30 November 2014Author's POV
"Always?" Christine asked, still in the arms of the ran-away groom.
"And Forever." Jungkook answered, reassuring her with their foreheads connected together.
Jungkook smiled and stole a quick peck on Christine's lips. Christine was surprised and hit his chest playfully while Jungkook just chuckled and enclosed her in his arms.
After all that they've been through, I think we can all agree that this two deserves a happy ending, don't you think my dear readers?
Jungkook lets go as he takes Christine's hands in his.
"Should we walk around?" he asked and Christine smiled up at him and nodded.
They've talked about what happened in the past 2 years they have been apart. Both did suffer a lot, but they skipped those parts and just told the happy parts, how Christine got to see a lot of new things in America and being able to go to their Show and Prove concert. Jungkook told her that he thought he was just hallucinating, but seeing her there gave him the energy to give his best, wanting to show her the cool side of him if ever she was seeing it, and he was glad that she really did. As for Jungkook, he told her about the awards they've received, the stages they've been on and the fans they've met. It was pretty crazy, pretty hectic, but it was all fun, so he says.
"I guess I can believe in the magic of love people always talk about. Before, I laugh it off but now, after everything we've been through, I can finally believe it with my whole being." Christine told Jungkook as she hugged his waist while Jungkook had his arms around Christine's shoulder as they walked. They were so close to eachother that it was so hard not to see how they never wanted to be apart again. They've been disregarding stares from people around. They must be thinking what a guy in tux was doing in a park. If only they knew what these two have been through.
"Magic of love huh?" Jungkook said, looking at her with his smile never leaving his lips.
"Yeah. We got our happy ending." Christine smiled but Jungkook stopped on his tracks.
"No. We didn't. I don't want a happy ending." Jungkook frowned but Christine looked at him, confused.
"Don't you think we've been through a lot already? Don't you think we deserve a break from those hardships even just for a little while?" she asked.
"I don't want a happy ending, because I don't want us to have an ending."
Christine's heart pounded as she fought the urge to smile stupidly infront of him, but failed miserably as the smile made its way to her lips. Jungkook chuckled as Christine looked down, giggling to herself, containing the butterflies she was having. They spent their time smiling, giggling, chuckling and talking about everything and anything, never letting each other go.
Meanwhile...
Back in the church, guests started leaving minutes after Jungkook did. Bangtan tried to hide their smiles as they left the event, not wanting to be disrespectful towards the Yuri and her family, but they were happy that Jungkook did what he did.
"I'm so sorry about this." Jungkook's mother said to Yuri's mom who just stared at her with an unpleased face. "I'll fix this."
"You better-" Yuri's mother got cut off by her own daughter.
"No, Mrs. Jeon, You don't have to." Yuri said, walking down the altar with eyes showing how broken she was. "I'm thankful for Jungkook for doing what he did. It would be more painful to be by his side as his wife while his heart still belonged to someone else. He saved me the misery, and I do want him happy." She looked down, trying to hide the tears forming.
"But Yuri-"
"It's okay mom. I'm okay. Let's just go to America. Just like how you've always wanted." Yuri stated.
"So you'll give Christopher a chance?" her mom lit up. She's been trying to get Yuri to have someone else besides Jungkook since she left to get treated. It was only Yuri who was stubborn.
"Yeah, sure. He seems nice." Yuri gave a small smile.
"It was nice being with you, Mrs. Jeon. Thank-you for treating me as your own." She bowed before leaving the place with her parents right behind her.
"By the way, if it isn't obvious. The deals off." Yuri's mother said before leaving with her daughter.
"Was it really because of the money that you've been forcing Jungkook to be with Yuri?" Junho, Jungkook's brother, said with his brows furrowed. Her mother just looked at the ground, not knowing what to say.
"What the hell? Jungkook's earning a fortune already. Why do you need her?! I'll be graduating from med school in a few weeks. Can't you just wait until then? I already have a hospital asking for me. I'll have a job as soon as I graduate. I'll give you all the money that you need. Leave my dongsaeng out of this child's play eomma." Junho said sternly.
"You don't understand! He's working too hard and how can we even be sure that the company he's in is taking care of him! He's always tired and... he's always away from us." Her mother reasoned out but her brother was still pissed, missing the point of her mom.
"He's not working mom! He's living his dream. He's happy. Can't that be enough for you to support him and be there for him?" Junho defended.
"Junho, that's enough." Jungkook's father stopped the two as he placed both of his hands on his wife's shoulders and made her face him.
"Yeobo... I know you miss our son, that's why you want him financially secured so he could stop being far away and come home to us, right?" he asked and the mother nodded in tears. "I miss him too, but as a father, I'd rather have him far away while I support him with all that I can as long as I know and I can see him happy than to be with him, all broken and unhappy. I'm sure that's what you'd want too." Jungkook's father explained and his mother had her face in her small hands.
"I'm sorry... I'm sorry... tell our son I'm really sorry." She cried as her husband just took her in his arms.

Outside the church-
"Tinnie ah, where are you?" Yoongi asked over the receiver of his phone.
"We're still in the park, oppa." Christine answered.
"He really found his way back to you huh?" Yoongi muttered to himself, smiling with Miji beside him, taking his hand as she smiled with him.
"Well anyways, let's grab something to eat. What do you think, princess?" he asked
"That would be great, hyung!" Jungkook answered.
"I was asking my sister, you rascal." He laughed.
"But am I not your princess too?" Jungkook joked, chuckling afterwards while Christine's laughter was heard at the background.
Yoongi's smile was like a smile of an older brother seeing his younger brother happy with a new toy. Hearing his dongsaeng's happy self, joking around like he used to made him happy. It's been years since he heard Jungkook and Christine so happy like this, and Yoongi, alongside the other members were happy to have their maknae and little sister back together, smiling and laughing like they used to.
"Okay. I'll treat you too, but for the record, you're not the princess." Yoongi said.
"Because I am the princess." Jin exclaimed, grabbing the phone from Yoongi as he placed the phone into loud speaker mode. They heard Christine and Jungkook's laugh which made them all smile like happy parents seeing their kids happy.
"Okay. You're the pink princess, Jin hyung. The title is yours. I have another one anyway." Jungkook said which caught the curiosity and attention of the others.
"Isn't in golden maknae?" Taehyung asked.
"No it's not." Jungkook said, his smirk that means he's up to something being unseen by his now confused hyungs.
"Well what is it?" Namjoon asked and all waited for his response.
"I'm Christine's." Jungkook said and you can hear Christine talking at the background, a muffled "Yah what was that?" can be heard while the members all cringed at the cheesiness of their maknae.
"OHMYGOT MY HARTUE." Hoseok joked and everyone laughed, not noticing they've ended the call since they were all cringing and laughing.
"But hey, you gotta admit, it's pretty cute." Miji said, linking her arms with her lover who was wearing a genuine smile, only pure happiness seen from his eyes.
"Oppa!" Hannah called out and waved at Jimin. She ran towards the group and Jimin enclosed her in his arms, spinning her around.
"Hey guys, how's it going?" she smiled after being put down back to the ground.
"Jeez. I want a girlfriend too." Namjoon sighed.
"But being single is also fun, right Tae?" Hoseok said as Taehyung just tapped on his phone and smiled at him.
"It's fun, but having a girlfriend is better." He smiled his rectangular smile and placed his phone on his ears.
"Jagiya, are you free today? Plans got cancelled and we'll have a dinner out. Wanna join?"
Namjoon and Hoseok sighed as they looked among the couples then among themselves.
"We need girlfriends." Namjoon said and the younger one nodded in agreement as they pouted like little kids. Jin just chuckled at them as he continued to type on his phone, texting his girl.
"Don't be sad guys. You'll find your other half." Miji smiled at them.
"Yeah! In the right time, and in the right place. If you're meant to be, then you're meant to be. Nothing can go wrong." Hannah backed Miji up.
"Kaja kaja." Yoongi smiled.
.
.
.
1 year later.
Everything was in place. Everything was perfectly prepared but our man of the day couldn't stay in one place. People started filling in, greeting him with smiles and he bowed with a smile but his nervousness couldn't be hidden.
"Relax. You look stupid." Hannah laughed, walking beside her best friend.
"My knees are shaking, my hands are sweating. I can't stand still, damn it." Jungkook said.
"It'll be okay. Everything's perfect. Miji eonni and I took care of everything." She winked.
"Thanks Hannah." He smiled, giving her a hug.
"Jungkookie! It's finally the day~" Jimin smiled, giving his dongsaeng a hug.
"And to think both of you had quite a tension back then." Taehyung laughed.
"Past is past. Move on Tae." Jimin said, wrapping his arm around Hannah.
"Where's the rest?" Hannah asked and Jungkook looked expectantly at the two.
"Well, they're trying to calm down Christine too. She's also a nervous wreck like how Jungkook is right now." Jimin laughed, nudging Jungkook.
"Why can't you guys calm down! Just look at where you're going and you won't trip." Taehyung tried to give an advice that could calm down his dongsaeng but it didn't help. Not one bit.
"I won't trip. That's not what I'm nervous about... what if I mess up? What if I eat my words or something? What if I stutter? What if. What if-"
"Calm down. You're gonna be fine. Everything's gonna be perfect. This will be a day both of you won't forget. Okay?" Hannah said, soothing her best friend, patting his back.
"We're up in 5." One girl said with her clip board in hand while she flashed her smile at the group.
"Well, take a deep breath okay?" Jimin smiled. "Everything's gonna be alright. You can do this. Hwaighting!" Jimin said, giving Jungkook a one-armed hug then Tae then Hannah.
"Hey Jungkookie, are you okay?" The rest came to greet their maknae before the music starts.
"Ne hyung. I'm good." He said, dismissing the worried hyungs who gave him a smile and a hug before going to their seats.
"JEONGGUKIE!" the strong Busan accent surprised Jungkook. He looked up and within seconds, his lips turned into a wide smile running towards his brother who was also running towards him.
"Hyung! You came!" Jungkook shouted, hugging his brother tight who, in return, hugged him back tightly as well.
"How can I miss such an important day of my little boy?" he ruffled the younger's hair with a proud smile. "I'm happy for you dongsaeng." He smiled.
"Thanks hyung." Jungkook smiled in tears.
"Jungkook ah, my son..." His mother's voice called and Junho stepped back to show his parents behind, wearing their best dress and coat & tie. His father wore a proud smile while his mother couldn't look straight into his eyes.
"Appa, eomma, you guys made it." He smiled.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world, son." His father said, giving him a hug. They both looked at the woman beside them who just stood with her head bowed down. His father gave him a nod and even without words, he nodded in agreement.
"Eomma..." Jungkook called out, reaching out for her mother's hands. "Thank-you for coming." He smiled.
"Jungkookie... Jungkook ah..." her mother placed her hand on his cheeks. "Eomma's sorry... I'm sorry. I just-"
"It's okay mom. Hyung explained it already. I'm grateful for your love, but most of all... I'm grateful for you coming. This means you're accepting us right?" he asked and she nodded with tears in her eyes.
"Anything for your happiness, my son." She smiled and Jungkook hugged her tight.
"I'm sorry to ruin the moment, but you're ready to enter now." The staff patted Jungkook's shoulder and the mother & son pulled away from each other and smiled in tears.
"I'm going now." He said and her mother agreed, waving him off with his father and brother.
As he walked down the aisle, it felt different than before. The last time he did it, he was only thinking of her, nodding soullessly to those who congratulates him, accepting everything all half-heartedly. Now as he walks down the aisle with all the people smiling at him and congratulating him, he can bow with a smile, accepting all their greetings whole heartedly.
His heart continued to pound loudly as his palm continued to sweat. He was nervous, but he couldn't wait for it either. He's excited but he's also anxious. It didn't help that Miji and Hannah didn't let him meet Christine last night since the next day's pretty special.
Since it's their Wedding Day.
"It's finally happening. We're finally going to be together forever." He muttered to himself as he waited in front of the aisle, taking deep breaths.
The music shifted and everyone stood up, welcoming the bride who was escorted by her brother. There stood Christine who wore a beautiful, elegant white dress with 3/4ths laced sleeve. Her dress hugged her torso well while a shiny, cream colored bow hung below her chest that started the balloon of her dress, with elegant floor-length ruffles. Her hair was placed up in an elegant up-do while there were little curled strands of her hair that fell beautifully on her shoulders. All that can be heard were praises for the bride's beautiful dress and the beauty of the bride herself as she enters, but everything's tuned out for the couple as Christine had her eyes on Jungkook while Jungkook had his eyes on her. They smiled at each other both in tears as they remember all the hardships they've been through before they've come this far.
From the rooftop, to their silly jealous-moments even before they were a couple. The bullying Christine tried to hide and Jungkook finding out, being overly protective from then on. Those small fights they had because one was too scared to lose the other. The fights they had just because they love each other. Other people trying to get in between them, but they held on tight, not giving up without a fight.
It just all broke down when Christine suffered cancer and Jungkook suffered twice, seeing her in that situation. Jungkook didn't let go, but Christine couldn't take it. Yuri's word did make sense at that time when everyone was at their most vulnerable state. You'll only suffer if you stay with her. You'll be happier with me. But that was not the case and Jungkook knew all too well. There came a point that they broke up and separated. Both were suffering by themselves but their mind and hearts only longed for each other and no one else's.
When they thought everything was over, that everything couldn't be fixed, destiny worked it's way, giving Jungkook the senses and the courage to do what he had to, and now... Everything is where it is supposed to be.
If it's meant to be, then it will be. Nothing can stop what's supposed to happen. Not even life can come in between the fate of two person who were meant to be together.
Both were in tears when they reached each other.
"I'm giving her to you now, Jungkook." Yoongi said, holding onto the hand that was on his arms. The small hand that belonged to his sister. The hand that held onto him as they walked down the aisle.
"I will take care of her hyung. I'll protect her and keep her happy. I swear it on my life." Jungkook swore and gave a smile to his soon-to-be brother-in-law, who nodded at him.
"Tinnie ah, you're really beautiful. I'm sure appa would love to walk you down the aisle if only he was here." He said, brushing the tear stained cheeks of his sister. Tears that were not of pain, but were of happiness.
"Thank-you oppa. I'm sure appa's just as happy that I have you to walk me down the aisle instead." She answered softly. Yoongi couldn't stop his tears as he hugged his sister tight. He wasn't the one who watched her grow up, but it couldn't be denied that the two had the bond no half siblings could ever have.
As they pulled back, Yoongi finally handed his sister's hand to Jungkook who gladly accepted it.
The two smiled at eachother, tears running down their cheeks as their happiness were beyond what words could explain.
"We are all gathered here to witness the union of the couple infront of me as they vow eternal love for each other in front of our Heavenly Father. If there is anyone who is against this wedding, thou shall speak now or forever hold your peace." The priest said.
"No one! There's no one!! Pleas continue!!!" Taehyung eagerly said and the couple just looked down, chuckling to themselves with a slight shake of the head.
"Mian..." Jungkook smiled at the priest.
"It's alright, son." The priest smiled at them.
"Then shall I ask now? Do you, Min Christine, take Jeon Jeongguk as your lawfully wedded husband, to love and to hold, in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, till death do you part?"
Christine looked at Jungkook and smiled dearly.
"I do."
"And do you, Jeon Jeongguk, take Min Christine as your lawfully wedded wife, to love and to hold, in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, till death do you part?"
Jungkook returned the smile and answered with his shaking lips.
"I do."
"You may now get your rings and saw your vows." The priest said and their rings were handed to them.
"My Jagiya, My Jeon Jeongguk, At times when I felt like I was lost, you were there to help me, guide me, and be there for me. You gave me the reason to live, when I thought that I've lost all the reason to. You held onto me, not letting go, and I'm truly grateful for you coming into my life. You were someone I was never prepared for, someone I never deserved, but still you stayed and taught me the real meaning to of love. You've always loved me and took care of me and even suffered a lot for me, but now it's my turn. I promise to take care of you for the rest of our lives and love you until the last strand of your hair grows white. I'll stop loving you when forever ends. I'll even love you until we pass the afterlife. I'll be here even if you can't see me without your glasses nor hear me without your hearing aid. I'll always be holding your hand and never letting go. You have me. You've always had and you always will. Take this ring as a sign of my everlasting love, and as you wear it, always remember the love that we both share." She said as she shakily took Jungkook's hand and placed the ring on his left finger.
Jungkook smiled, and let out a small sigh with a smile, wiping out the tears that fell on his cheeks. He took a breath, condition his voice as he coughed, sniffed away his runny nose from crying before smiling and taking the ring.
"My Jagiya, My Min Christine, You came into my life unexpectedly and I never thought I'd ever have the chance to be part of your life. Being with you and being able to love you and be loved by you was the greatest thing that happened to my life. I thought I already knew what love was, but as I spent my time with you, I realized I knew nothing. You, also, have taught me the real meaning of love, and not only taught it, but you also gave me the privilege to experience it. How could I let you go when you've became my life? At first I had no idea why I was born into this world, but after meeting you, I knew my purpose. I was to wake up every morning to make sure you were always smiling. All the pain was worth it, and I never regretted anything. I promise to love you with all that I am, protect you and keep you happy even if it cost me my life. I'm here to stay and won't ever leave, because you should know that you're the reason why I'm breathing. You're my life and I won't be able to make it without you. I love you for all that you are, all that you have been and all you're yet to be. Always remember this, my dear, my love. You have me. You've always had, and you always will. Take this ring as a sign of my everlasting love, and as you wear it, always remember the love that we both share."
Christine was in tears as Jungkook took her hand, slipping on the ring, placing it right beside her silver ring with a rose colored heart shaped gem that he gave her as an engagement ring.
"I now pronounce you man and wife, you may now kiss the bride."
Jungkook lifted the veil and revealed his beautiful bride, smiling brightly at him as her dimples shows. He cupped her cheeks and wiped her tears.
"No more tears, jagi." He whispered before leaning in and kissing her.
The crowd clapped and some even stood up.
As they pulled apart, Jungkook rested her forehead on hers as they shared their wide smiles before facing their guest with all the love and happiness they could show.
"Ladies and gentlemen, Mr and Mrs Jeon."
The crowd went wild and clapped and howled for the two. Christine was surprised and suddenly waved as she saw Sungmi, Jaebum and Jongin beside the boys, clapping with the crowd as they gave their most sincere smile towards the couple.
Never have they seen anyone so happy, and that's because as of the moment, they were the happiest person alive.
They had their hands intertwined as they walked down the aisle, never being able to remove the smiles on their faces.
It's a life with a new beginning.
A life they'll be sharing together, from now on.
This is not a happy ending.
Problems and hardships are bound to cross their paths...
But they're not worried, they'll be fine.
It's because they'll always have each other.
