Part 53

Christine's POV

"Jagii!" He said impatient.

"Ahaha hey jagi. How's the first day so far?" I said trying to sound like nothing happened.

"What happened awhile ago? Why were you quiet and why does your voice sound different? Are you sick?"

"No, nothing major. Just colds." I said sniffing.

"It's a cold night huh.. Wear warmer clothes and go to bed already, jagi."

"I'm in bed and I'm warm now."

"Good.. Have you talked with Miji noona?"

"Yeah I got her text awhile ago. She said she'll pick me up before lunch time."

"Whaaa?! But can't you go first thing in the morning?" He whined and I giggled.

"I'm the one asking for a ride. I'm the one who has to adjust, jagi."

"Wait. I'll talk to her. Let me call her." He said

"WAIT!"

"I'll call you agai-"

"Hang up and I won't talk to you ever again."

"......... Jaaggiiiii" he whined.

"I mean it Jeon Jeongguk." It's been awhile since I called him by his real name.. "I'll be there anyways. Just be patient Jagi." I chuckled

"Fine."

"Aren't you tired? How was your day?" I asked. I don't think I could talk normal any longer so I let him do the talking. I just feel so weak, I need to energize by hearing him and his happy self.

He told me about their performance how J-Hope almost fell from his chair and how Jin slipped during the rehearsals of Just One Day in the morning. Jimin's voice cracked alongside with V but it was just a rehearsal so it's fine. The fan sign event was crowded and very noisy but they've enjoyed themselves. He was telling me alot and Im thankful for it. It gave me a chance to mute it without him noticing as I exhaled loudly and coughed, conditioning my voice from it's post-crying-state. Suddenly I heard muffled sounds then it was noisy. The guys have stolen Jungkook's phone and placed it on speaker mode.

"Hyuuuuung I wasn't done talking!!" I heard his faint voice in the background

"I gotta tell you something!" Jin said

"What is it?" I chuckled.

"You know the fan sign awhile ago, I was beside Jungkook," V said

"Me too!" Jin echoed

"And and and there was this fan that asked if he had a girlfriend." V continued

"Then Jungkookie just smiled." Jin said

"Then the fan said "If that's a yes, then I hope it will be Yoongi oppa's sister. You guys look good together. You guys are close right?" " Oppa's voice was heard

"He's eyes got wide and I laughed. He couldn't say anything so I stepped in the convo for him. I asked how did she know that you guys were close then it turns out, there were pictures in google that you guys were always together and you wore the same uniform so they assumed you were classmates and everything." V said

"Jungkookie was dazing out the whole time after that" Jin chuckled

"Yah stop it hyuuuungs!!!" Jungkook said again from the background.

"Annyeoong!" Jimin said

"Annyeong!" I greeted back

"How are you there?"

"I'm good Jiminie, you?"

"Tired, but we're good. We're in Busan already and we're in the apartment of Manager hyung. We're occupying it then he'll just sleep in the hotel with his wife there. Keke~ It's really big! We'll be staying here for two days so yeah. We got settled in."

"Oooh that's cool, your schedules are done now?"

"Mm. We're done for tonight."

"Christine ah~ What time will you be here?" J-Hope asked snatching the phone.

"Around after lunch?"

"Why so late?!" Everyone reacted.

"I'll be there on your performance. I promise."

They didn't say anything but if I can see them, I can picture them with their shoulders dropped as they frowned.

"Arrasso arrasso. It's already 1am, you sleep now Tinnie ah~" Oppa said

"Alright. You guys rest well too. See you tomorrow!" I said and everyone said their goodnights and see you tomorrows as well when the phone got cut off. Oh? I didn't hear Jungkook say goodnight tho.. I'll give it a rest, maybe he's tired.

I set my phone down beside my drawer and lay down, getting tucked in with my cozy comforter that I only use during winter. In a second, my phone started ringing and I got surprised. I took it and saw Jungkook calling.

"Yoboseo?" I answered

"They gave back the phone to me with the line already cut off." he said annoyed and I laughed abit. "Mianhe Jagi."

"Aww it's okay. You didn't have to call.. You must be tired. Why didn't you just rest and sleep?"

"I don't wanna sleep without saying goodnight to you.. Without hearing your voice saying goodnight to me as well.. I can't sleep." He stated and my heart skipped a beat.

"You're so cheesy." I said and he laughed a little.

"It's true though.." he said softly and I feel my cheeks grow hot.

Seriously? How long have you been dating and he can still make you blush?

"Alright. Goodnight Kookie ah~ I'll see you tomorrow. Okay?" I said

"Mm.. That's better.. Goodnight Jagiya.." he said

"Are you lying down already?"

"Yeah.."

"Then go to sleep now.."

"Let me hear your voice just a little longer.." he said but it sounded really tired. I bet he'll fall asleep in the middle of our conversation. Well I don't mind.. I smiled and answered him.

"Alright.. What do you want me to tell you?"

"How your day went.." he asked and I froze.

"Uhm.. Sungmi.. She went to the house after you guys left.."

"Mhmm... "

"Then.. We watched first and ate my banana chips while waiting for time to pass by.."

"Banana chips.." he muttered softly then he chuckled lightly.

"Well, we goofed around and my banana chips fell from her hands, scattering them in the living room so we had to clean up" I continued and he chuckled again.

"After that.. We went to Jiyoon umma. She was my mother's friend from way back. I brought Sungmi along with me and she didn't mind.."

"Hmm......." his voice sounded fainter.. He's falling asleep I guess?

"Jiyoon umma.. I told him about losing appa a few months back then meeting oppa.. I explained to her how did it happen that I had a brother and she seemed to have understood the situation.."

I heard a faint snore. He's tired and he fell asleep. I closed my eyes as I sighed.

It's not yet the time to tell him then. But I wanted to.

I tapped the screen then began talking.

"Jungkook.. I'm sick.. Jiyoon umma.. she's a doctor and she's been my physician since I was a kid. My appointment was in the hospital. To meet my doctor and get myself checked. Jagii.." I inhaled as my tears are starting to blur my vision.

"I have brain tumor.. It's malignant.. I'm showing symptoms of stage 1 brain cancer.. I can be cured but it still isn't a 100% sure that I'll be okay.. I'm sorry.. I'm sorry I couldn't tell you this.. I'll start my therapy once we get back from your tour. I promise to fight this for us to be together.. I'll fight this to give you your little Jeon Jungkook and Mini Min Christine.. I'll do this for you and oppa and the guys.. For Sungmi, Jongin and Jaebum too.. I'll survive this alright? I'll be okay so you better keep that smile on your face and be happy. Continue to live your dreams and live the best life you can.. Jeon Jeongguk.. Saranghae.. Jjinja saranghae.."

My voice was shaking all through out and I broke down crying once again. I cried and let it out. I'll let it out, all my fears and worries.. I'll let them go for now so that I could face them with a light and happy heart. I can do this. I can do this for them. I'll be strong.. But let me be weak, even just for tonight..

"Christine ah~" I heard a soft whisper. I slowly opened my eyes and found Miji unnie smiling down at me.

"Lets get ready if we still want to surprise them." she giggled.

The truth is, I got Miji unnie's text awhile before dinner last night. She'll pick me up around 4 am so that we could get there by 7am and be there when the guys wake up. Since Miji unnie knows their schedule and that their morning schedule starts at around 11 so they'll probably wake up around 9, we'll be there and have made ourselves comfortable by that time, surprising them big time.

She has a key in our house which I'm guessing oppa gave which is why I'm not surprised at all that she's standing in my room right now.

"What are you doing hugging your phone and why are your eyes swollen?"

I noticed that I fell asleep as I hugged my phone. I looked at it and saw the call was still ongoing.. Still on going... and still on mute.

"I'm good. I'll just prepare unnie.." I said

"You have your things already?"

"Shoot." I said now wide awake. How can I forget! This isn't an over night trip! It's a week long and I didn't prepare...

"It's alright, I got it. trust your style to Miji Unnie now go bath now so we could continue with our plan." Miji unni giggled pushing me to my bathroom.

I smiled and took my phone, unmuted it and said. "Jagiya, Saranghae" I whispered.

"Saranghae jagi.." Jungkook answered but you can tell from his voice that he was sleeping..

I chuckled to myself and picked my towel and got inside the bathroom to take a bath.

"If we travel by car, it'll be 5 hours. Too long. Let's just take the plane." Miji unnie said looking through her phone, maybe already booking a flight. She woke me up at 3 and right in schedule, we're on the road at 4am in a taxi.

"Unnie no! That's too much!"

"Nonesense."

"Can we take the train instead? I wanna sight see too on the way.." I smiled. I wanna remember how beautiful Korea is. I wanna have alot of memories stored if ever... things don't go well for me.

"Fine.." she gave up and smiled.

We got in the apartment and Unnie had the keys.

"Manager oppa gave it. He knows about the surprise" she smiled and I nodded.

We got in and it was so quiet. We crept in quietly and opened a door and saw a rest room. Whoops wrong door. We opened another one and saw Oppa, Namjoon and Jin in one double sized bed. They looked like they were knocked out from a wrestling match. They were pitiful but cute at the same time. Miji unnie and I giggled before closing the door gently. We opened the door infront of it and saw a double deck bed. Jimin was at the top. I recognized his bandana with his arm dangling at the top. Then there's J-Hope on the lower deck hugging the wall. We stifled a laugh to see V lying on the floor with his mouth slightly opened. I looked around and gave unnie a look.

"Where's Jungkook?" I asked. She shrugged and we got out of the room and looked for the missing boy.

We found him sleeping on the long couch which looked really cozy and soft. He looked peaceful sleeping and I noticed his phone under his ear. I chuckled lightly as I took the phone slowly, and placed it on the coffee table infront of the couch.

"Well they're all tired." Miji unnie whispered. It was quiet and we got in as planned while they were still sleeping.

Suddenly my stomach grumbled and I looked at unnie.

"Ahaha kyeopta. Alright let's go cook. Manager oppa said there are food in the ref that we could use. Come on" she said taking my hand and bringing me to the kitchen and we got to work.

We're having pancakes and sausages and we cooked for the 7 sleeping guys already.

"Dear would you check my bag for my phone?" Miji unnie said as she stirred the pancake mix

"Alright" I said and went outside to the living room where we placed our bags.

I crouched down and searched for Miji unnie's bag. After a few ruffles of her clothes, I finally got it. I stood up and turn around, surprised to see someone towering over me with wide eyes and his adorable bed hair.

"Oh? You're up? Goodmorning!" I beamed like an innocent child.

Gah, I teared up writing this one. Especially the part where Christine was letting it out..

Its 12:30 am here and I updated even if I still have to study for 2 more exams for tomorrow. Lol Yolo. I can do this bwahaha!
