Part 5

Jongin's POV

I dont know what this feeling is, but it's like as if I don't want to leave her alone. It was the same feeling I got when I went to audition for SMEntertainment. I felt like something might happen and I didn't want to leave Christine alone but she said it's nonsense and I shouldn't let such opportunity pass. I left and got home accepted but Christine was crying on her front porch and ran to me when she saw me.. She cried uncontrollably.

"Umma... Umma's gone" She sobbed and I held her in my arms.

"Jongin ah! Let's go" manager nim said I had no choice but to comply.

We'll be back by tomorrow morning, so I'll make it to school with her. Everything's gonna be alright. Go away stupid gut feeling.

Christine ah, where are you?

-Jongin

I couldn't help myself so I texted her.

Omo~ Goodmorning! I'm at home but appa will take me out. Waeyo?

-Christine

Ani.. Take care okay? I'll be back tomorrow.

-Jongin

Okay. Goodluck on your performances and fan meetings! Be kind and smile. Have fun~

-Christine

I couldn't help but smile at her reply. She really supports me in this. I promise I won't disappoint you. This is for you Christine ah~ I smiled and our day went rather hectic as soon as we got into the hotel we were staying at where sasaeng fans are already waiting.

This is gonna be a looong day ~

Christine's POV

So here I am excited to hang out with my dad. I know it's childish but I've missed him. I dressed in my black shirt with gray prints of butterflies on the lower right side and red pants. I wore my favorite denim high cut chucks and tied my hair up in a high pony tail. Ahhh this feels so me, not like yesterday.. But I was flustered when Jungkook said I looked beautiful.....

"Tinnie ahh!" My dad shouted from outside and I noticed I was smiling. I slapped myself hard about thinking of Jungkook again and went out to meet my dad.

"Let's go appa?" I smiled at him and hugged his arm

"KAJAAAA" We walked out of the house merrily and went to where ever we felt like going.

First off we went to the park and strolled. Appa bought me ice cream and we ate beside the fountain admiring the little kids passing by, running with balloons in their hands and their mothers and fathers running after them.

"I miss umma" I suddenly said and dad wrapped his arm around my shoulder and I rested my head on his shoulder as he softly patted my head

"Me too kiddo, I miss your umma too.." he smiled sadly

"Yaah! We can't be sad. Im sure umma wants us happy appa." I smiled as I sat up straight. "Let me finish this and lets walk around more" I smiled and finished the ice cream and we went off walking when we saw a crowd forming. My curiosity got the best of me and I dragged appa to the crowd. Girls were screaming everywhere and when I got to squish ourselves infront I saw BTS performing.

Unconsciously I screamed with the other girls. I can't help it. I was a fangirl. Ever since I met Jungkook on the rooftop, I researched about his group and damn they were good. They were good at singing and dancing and they all were very charming!

Jungkook was singing his part when he saw me and he smiled widely but couldn't do anything more because he was performing. Appa said he'll be at the back because he's getting dizzy so I let him. I told him I'll go back after this song.

"~Oh pretty womaaaaaan~

neowa-ui same love" Jungkook winked at me before going to his place and continues dancing.

I smiled and waved at them specifiacally Jungkook and Suga because they're the only one who knows me. Show them hwaighting sign, made sure they saw it before leaving.

"Appa~" I sang and approached him at the back of the crowd

"I thought you left me for those boys~" he said pouting like a kid

"Don't be like that, a member of that group was my classmate." I giggled as his eyes grew wide

"So you have another celebrity friend besides Jongin?" he asked

"Ahaha actually I met EXO K, Jongin's members, and the one back there? Jungkook? He's my classmate and I met one of his members named Suga" I smiled.

"Just be careful okay? I dont want you getting hurt by fangirls of your friends" he said and I hugged him for that

"I can handle myself but thanks appa" I smiled and we went back to walking.

We went to the lake and I asked if we could ride the duck boat where we'd cycle our way through the lake and have fun. After awhile, we got tired, appa took me to a family restaurant and we ate dinner. It's been awhile since I've talked to appa like this. Since I'm an only child, and mom was always doing chores, I'd always play with dad and tell him everything and anything. I was close with him as much as I was with mom.

"Appa" I tugged on his arm while we were walking back home "Can we visit umma?" I asked him. He took a deep breath before looking at me and nodding with a smile.

We went to where umma was and we placed the bouquet we bought on the way and knelt on the ground.

"Yeobo.. How are you?" My dad asked first

"Umma, appa took me to a date!" I said excitedly. I told her everything..

"Appa bought me ice cream and then we saw kids running.. I remember us umma.. Appa and I misses you so much!" I said. I felt like a little kid again. I was so happy! I felt like we were whole again even with mom silent, I know she's still listening. I told her about the rest of the day. Of how I saw Jungkook performing and how yesterday went when I met Suga. How we rode on the duck boat and ate dinner at a family resto, how we made our own conversation of the two people sitting a table away from us talking with eachother. How we fooled around like we used to! It was fun. Reaaaally fun! I hope this day will be like any other day.

"I hope this one was a happy memory for you kiddo" dad said ruffling my bangs

"Yah stop appa" I giggled.

Both of us got startled when I my phone just blasted its ringtone.

"Yoboseo?" I asked

"Christine ah! How are you? Please tell me you're okay." Jongin was in the other line sounding desperately worried.

"Hey I'm fine what's wrong?" I asked him. I stood up and walked a few inches away as I heard my appa talk with umma alone. I walked away to talk to Jongin alone as well

"Hah... What's gotten into me.. You know this sudden gut feeling when something bad's gonna happen? I feel this everytime something bad might happen to those people I cherish. So I just wanted to check up on you.." He said

"Oh dear don't worry yourself too much. I had the best time of my life with appa!" I smiled and looked back.

Everything went blank when I saw appa on the ground with his hand on his stomach lying so still.. So lifeless. I screamed my lungs out

"AHHH APPA!!!!!!"

I rushed back to him. I looked everywhere and saw a group of guys running with appa's pouch of money. I heard Jongin's cries of hello and talk to me but I couldn't focus on anything besides my dad. I hung up and talked to appa.

"Appa appa what happened please dont please appa dont.." I said desperately as I saw blood coming out from where he was holding

"Saranghaeyo Tinnie ah.." My appa said weakly and I held his blood stained hand on my cheeks, and pressed his wound so it'd have pressure trying desperately to stop the bleeding.

"I'll call 911. Don't be like that appa please. We'll make it through! Damn it don't leave me alone!!" I cried as I dialed 911 and asked for an ambulance quickly.

"You wont be alone Tinnie ah.." He said weakly.. "You have my son.. You have an oppa" he said.

"What are you talking about.." My vision was blurry but I saw my father's weak smile

"Remember I told you, I wasn't umma's first love? She wasn't mine either... I.." He suddenly winced in pain but continued anyway "I was married before I met your umma.. I had a son.. But things got complicated which led to our divorce.. Your oppa knows about you.. Im sorry you knew only now.. But don't worry.. I'll guide you to him.. I'll never leave you alone Tinnie ah.." He said

"What?" I couldn't believe it.. I had an oppa all along?

The ambulance came and we went to the hospital as soon as possible. I held his hand tightly all through out until he was in the operating room where I can't enter anymore.

I'm shaking. Restless. How can life be so unfair. Makes me happy and takes it back in a nick of a second.

My phone rang and I picked it up without even looking at the caller ID

"Yoboseoooo?" I heard a happy voice on the other line. How I envy such a carefree life..

Appa you can never leave right?

"Who.. Who's this?" I answered as hard as I can not showing I was about to cry.

".... Are you okay?" He asked

"Ani" I failed and broke into sobs and hiccups.

Jungkook's POV

Our performance in the park was fun. I briefly saw Christine ah and it gave me the adrenaline to last the whole day! She sang along and smiled at me the whole time but left quickly. I guess she was on the date with his dad and she couldn't stay long. She smiled and did the hwaighting sign and waited for Suga hyung and I to nod before she left.

She made my day complete!

I wanna surprise her and call her. She doesn't even know I have her phone number because Sungmi gave it to me and told me to surprise her. Might as well do it now while we're done for the day. Manager nim just said he'll speak with us first before we could leave.

While waiting for manager nim, I decided to call her.

"Yoboseooo?" I sang when she picked up.

"Who.. Who's this?" Her voice was shaking.

I quit kidding around.

"Hey, it's Jeongguk.. Are you okay?" I asked her

"Ani.." Her voice starts breaking

"Shh where are you? I'll go right away." I asked her and she said she was in a hospital. I think I lost all the color in my face and all the hyungs looked worriedly at me.

"I'll be there." I said as I hang up

"'Mianhe hyungs.. Can.. Can I go ahead?" I pleaded them shaking impatiently. My feet are itching to run to where Christine is now.

"Go. It looks urgent." RapMon hyung said worriedly

"We'll explain things to manager nim." J-Hope hyung said

"Komawaeo" I said quickly as I dashed outside to where the hospital was since it was quite near if you run for it.

I arrived after running for 10 minutes non stop. I asked if there was an emergency that came just awhile ago and the nurse pointed me to the operating room. Shit it's something serious. I ran to the directions she gave me and I saw a short girl in red pants and high pony tail with her back towards me and I ran towards her.

"I'm sorry" the doctor patter her shoulder and went ahead..

"Christine ahh.." I called her softly and she turned around looking really lost for words

"Jungkook ah.." she said softly. I walked towards her softly and embraced her tight.

"You're breathing hard.. did you run" she asked quietly

"Mm.." I answered closing my eyes. I hope she won't do the strong front with me

"Jungkook ah.. am I dreaming?" she said quietly as I felt her hands clutch my shirt at the back. I hugged her tightly as she continued talking "the doctor said my dad was dead and they did the best that they could.. Hah.. wake me up Jungkook.. please" she clutched on my shirt tighter and she started crying.

"I'm sorry.." I let her cry in my arms as I hold her tight. She feels so fragile and my heart stings everytime I hear her sobs..

Christine's POV

If only I knew it was his last day, I would have said I loved him more, I would have thanked him for everything, I would have said I forgive him for leaving me for a year, I would have said to him alot more things than just nonsense. My eyes are tired from crying. I don't think I have more tears to cry. I felt exhausted and just nestled my head on Jungkook's chest and I felt his hug grow tighter.

"Jungkook ah.. Thankyou for being here today.." I said with my eyes closed

"I'll always be here when you need me, Christine ah" he said as he stroked my hair

"I.. need to find someone.." I told him

"Who? I'll help you.." He said soothing me with his low soft voice..

"My brother."
