Chapter 30

Keefe's POV

Keefe was arguing with Tam when he heard a thump. He looked over just in time to see Sophie hit the ground.

"Sophie!?" He shrieked.

Keefe along with everyone else ran to Sophie.

As soon as he got there, Fitz checked Sophie's mind. 

"I can't get in. It's like she's blocking me." Fitz said.

Keefe took action and took off her gloves sending a breeze through her mind. Nothing happened.

"Tam call Elwin. Now!" He shouted. "Come on foster we can get through this. Me and you. Team Foster-Keefe remember?"  Keefe then sent another breeze. This time it worked. "Foster?" Keefe pulled Sophie into a hug. 

Tam came out and said, "Elwins on- Oh do we still need him?"

Keefe said "Yes." at the same time Sophie said "No."

"Keefe I'm fine now." Sophie insisted.

"Maybe but we still don't know what happened." Keefe countered.

"I agree with mophead." Tam inserted.

"You did not just insult The Hair™. Again." 

"Oops, I did it again. Sorry. Not." 

Keefe scowled. Tam glared. 

"Will you two stop already?!" Linh shouted.

Everyone was surprised by the outburst.

Elwin came in. Then noticed Sophie was fine. "She looks fine to me."

"I am now."

"Sophie seriously you passed out and no one knows what happened. You're not fine." Keefe came in.

When Elwin was done checking Sophie he frowned.

"What?" Dex asked.

"I don't know." 

"Will she be, okay?" Keefe asked.

"I'm fine," Sophie added.

"Yes and no. There's something off I just don't know what." Elwin was thinking very hard.

"I couldn't get past her blocking when she was passed out. Do you think that has something to do with it?" Fitz added.

"You couldn't?" Elwin asked. When Fitz shook his head Elwin asked' "Can you now?"

"I don't know. I'll try." 

After what felt like an eternity to Keefe and Sophie but was probably only a minute, Fitz shook his head. "I still can't get in."

Ok, this is probably a better ending. It's still a pretty small chapter but I hope you enjoy it.
