Chapter 8

17:34, 7 December 2022

Keefe's POV

Keefe realized he was smiling when they finally broke away. Then he saw Sophie's face which looked like it did after she almost faded. Keefe would never forget how ghostly pale she was. He shuddered and his face fell.

"I should get going home and hail everyone else to tell them I'm ok." He said nervously. Sophie just nodded blankly. Keefe leaped away.

...

"What'd she tell you. You both looked really nervous," Ro asked as Everglen glittered into view. Fitz was his next stop.

"She said she loved me too." He mumbled his reply.

"Who did?"

"Fitz. Hi, I Uh- didn't see you there." Keefe said so Ro didn't reply.

"Keefe don't avoid the question. Who said she loved you too?"

"No one you don't know her." he replied unconvincedly. Fitz still dropped it though. He gave Keefe a hug.

"You scared us you know." Fitz said as he pulled away.

"I know I'm sorry."

"Your forgiven. Just don't do it again."

"I second that." Ro said behind them "Well maybe not the forgiven part but don't do that again."

"Hey.... KEEFE your alive!" Biana came barreling out of Everglen and tackle hugged Keefe.

Keefe just laughed. "Yup all good."

"I will see you around Keefe. Bye." Fitz said.

"Uh bye." Keefe replied when Fitz was in the house Keefe asked. "What was that about."

"I think he's mad about you and Sophie." Keefe cringed. He had always known Biana had a crush on him so he wasn't sure how she would react. "Don't worry I don't like you anymore."

"OoooooooO gossip. who do you like now then?" Ro asked reminding them she was there and listening.

"Dex." Biana offered shyly.

Are you happy now? Is this a better ending? No? Exactly. As Keefe said

"More like torturer of innocent readers."  Muahahahahahaaaaa. But in all seriousness, I am going down to 1 chapter a day because I'm kind of running out of ideas. If you have any tips or would like a shout out, please pm me.
