I can't think of a title

03:10, 2 November 2016

Lucy's POV Carlos and I stayed there, talking. Time seemed to fly so fast when we were talking. Soon, inevitably, the Problem came up.

"What do you think of the Problem?" he asked. "Uhm... I appreciate agents, I guess," I replied. He didn't know that I was an agent myself, so I wanted to hear what he had to say about them-- er, us.

"I appreciate them too. They risk their lives for society, but sometimes, I wonder why they became an agent in the first place."I tensed. "What do you mean?""They constantly put their lives in danger. Is life not good enough for them or something?"

"Maybe they just want to be an agent. Maybe they want to solve the problem."

"Well, maybe some of them do, but I feel like a few of the companiesare just fakes. I think that they're just normal people, pretending to be agents to gain money and publicity."

"Such as?"

"That Lockwood and Co."

I clenched my fists. He continued, oblivious of the feeling of rage inside me.

"I mean, there's only 3 people in that company. Lockwood and two other people. I forgot their names. Anyway, they solved Combe Carey Hall, England's most haunted house. They're just three people. How could they solve it?"

"Maybe they're extremely talented," I whispered.

"Maybe, but most likely not."

"I have to go," I said, standing up. He grabbed my arm.

"What's wrong?""Nothing. I should probably go home, though." "Did I say something?"Everything, I thought. "No, you said nothing wrong," I lied.

He frowned. I could tell he wasn't satisfied, but he didn't push it.

"I'll walk you back," he said. Then you'll see the sign outside my house saying how it is the residence of Lockwood and Co.," Ithought."No, you don't have to."With that, I left.

Lockwood's POVI couldn't take it anymore. I couldn't bear to see Lucy and Carlos together. I didn't know how long I sat there, sobbing. Finally, I began to listen to their conversation.

"That Lockwood and Co." I heard. That did it. I didn't want to hear what Lucy said. I just ran.
