19: i cant let go

"Mom?" Andrea asked, looking at me."That's Adira and Airis" She truned back around the face the twins.

"You guys are so grown up. How long?""What?" I asked."How long was I dead?""...Ten years"

She sighed and got off the table, standing up straight. Andrea walked towards the twins and stood infront of them.

ANDREA'S POV:I watched as tears slipped out of Airis' eyes, then she suddenly pulled me into a hug. I wrapped my arms around her and then pulled Adira in aswell. I held her head and just enjoyed this moment with my daughters.

When the three of us pulled back, my ring got stuck in Adira's hair. "Sorry, hold on" I said, when I got it out I remembered that I bought Kai a ring aswell.

"Did you find it?" I questioned Kai while gesturing to my ring. He held up his left hand and showed me it. I smiled."Im surprised you guys haven't kissed yet" Airis said."Well I'm waiting for you guys to get out so I can make out with your father""Ew! We're going upstairs"

I laughed as they walked out and closed the door. Once they were completely gone, my face dropped and I gasped for air and knelt down on the table.

Kai and Wanda rushed towards me. I coughed harshly, my throat began to feel raw. "Are you okay?!" Wanda asked frantically.

"I was just raised form the dead after ten years" I coughed. "You really think my body is going to come back completely fine?"

"What do you need?""Just get me water, please" I said. Wanda went out and got me some. She came back quickly and I took a sip, trying to calm down.

"What are you guys doing?-" Elena walked in."Oh my god" She muttured. My sister sped over to me and quickly embraced me with a hug. Damon and Bonnie walked in a few moments later.

All of us were sitting in the living room, they caught me up on everything I missed."Hey, where's Stefan?""... We didn't catch you up on everything just yet" Caroline replied.

She explained to me about the hell-fire and how everything went down. "Im so sorry, Caroline-""No it's okay. Go... go spend some time with your family" She gestured towards the twins who were in the kitchen.

I gave her a small smile and started walking towards the girls. "Your birthday's coming up. What would you guy's like?" I asked them."For you and dad to get married" Adira said, Airis agreed.

"On your birthday?" They nodded."Then on your birthday it is""So in two days?""Yup. Im sure Caroline can figure something out" I laughed.

"C'mon, let's go""Where?""It's a suprise" I winked. They followed me as I told Kai what I wanted to do. He said he didn't want to go, which is fine but, whatever.

"Really, roller skating?" Adira asked,"Yes, now hurry up and go find some skates!"

We went onto the rink once they had their shoes on. Airis and I took a couple falls but we laughed it off. After hours of skating, we went into the food court and grabbed something to eat.

"You know, your grandparents used to take me and your aunt, and your uncle Jeremy here when we were younger""Is that why we're here?"

I nodded and we talked more about everything I missed, how they were doing, how their magic-practice was going, and everything else.

We went back home and since it was pretty late, they went to bed. I went over to Kai; "Hey""Hey. Im gonna go-"He replied."Where?""I've got things to do-"

"Kai, why are you being so distant?""I'm not-""We haven't even talked! I just want to know how you feel, how you've been-""How do you think I've been, huh?"He said.

"You died. I was all alone and didn't know what to do. I didn't know how to take care of myself with out you here, and I especially didn't know how to raise kids by myself; And considering my circumstances, they came out pretty damn good so just-"

"Okay! And I'm back here. With you and the girls. What's wrong?""Andrea don't-""It's true! If you're going to be acting like this from now on then- why'd you bring me back?"

He turned around and looked at me, shaking his head."What are you so afraid of?-"

"You want to know what I'm scared of!? I'm scared of everything-I'm scared to move, I'm scared to breath, I'm scared to touch you!" He yelled "I'm scared that if I do something wrong you will just fade away again"

My eyes softened. I went over to him and hugged him. His arms wrapped around me tightly like if I was the only thing that was keeping him sane.

I grabbed his face, "Im not going anywhere, okay?" He nodded and pulled me in for a kiss. Once we pulled back, I said, "Oh and by the way, we're getting married in two days""What?""What, you don't wanna marry me anymore?"

"No, it's not that" He chuckled, "Just... why in two days?" "I asked the twins what they wanted for their birthday; They said they wanted us to be officially married"

We spent the rest of the night with Caroline. She started making invitations and centerpieces. We talked about the music choices and the schedule she said we had to strictly follow, or else we will be late to our own wedding.

Unfortunately, we did have to rearrange some things because of the recent loss of Klaus, Elijah, and Hayley.

Now, Wanda will be walking me down the isle. Freya will be marrying us. And the rest should stay the same.

"You think this will all work out?""Trust me, I know it willl" Caroline replied.

Well, let's do this.
