' okay guys we have to get ready and then we are gonna go clothes shopping ' i smile at my friends as we make our way up to my grandmas house since it was now 2:30pm and the party started at 8:30

' we have 6 hours? ' chris questions

' yea im gonna shower and get ready which will be like an hour and im very picky ' i shrug

i waited until we got to the door frame since my door was open and i pushed him into the wall as he tried to walk into my room then i laughed and ran into the bathroom and shut the door

' ow! sophia! ' matt yells

' im showering ' i yell

' that hurt ' he yells back

' STOP YELLING ' i hear nick yell from his room

' oops ' i laugh as i hear matt laugh through the door

' okay but actually i need a towel ' i say and open the door to matt standing right by it then he picks me up and throws me on the bed

' whatever ' i grab a pillow and throw it at him before running out of the room to go get towels running into nick in the process

' help! ' i squeal and use nick to shield me from matt who was chasing me

' me too! ' i smile as i take nicks hand and we all hop out of the car

' guys wait up ' matt yells running after us so we slow down and i grab his hand so we don't all get split up

' hey sophia u made it! ' i hear my old bestfriends voice, amelia

' amelia hi!! ' i let go of the boys hands to hug her

' whos those people? ' she asks referring to matt and nick

' this is nick, and that's matt ' i inform her as she gives nick a weird look

' well me and matt are gonna go get drinks, we're thirsty ' i smile as i grab matts hand

' they need to get to know each other and honestly me and amelia didn't stop being friends because i moved there was another reason ' i inform matt

' amelia hm, anyway what was the reason then? ' matt asks as we walk outside

' come here ' i say as i drag him too the curb and we sit on it

' okay so when i was here she was my bestfriend, and i had a crush on this guy his name is jake, so anyway he knew i liked him and he said he liked me ' i explain then pause trying to fight back my tears

' hey it's okay u don't have to talk about it if u don't want too ' matt pulls me to his chest noticing my upset face

' no it's fine ' i say with a shaky voice

' so uh me and him got pretty serious and we started dating, well when we moved to boston when i was 10 we did long distance, and you remember when i was 13 and we came back for that one month in summer? ' i ask

' yea i remember ' he kisses the top of my head

' well he had a party for his 13th birthday, since his parents weren't home, no drinking or anything but i came to surprise him and i walke into his room because everyone said he was up there and him and amelia were in there having sex, at 13. ' i choke out as i begin to cry

' ew what the fuck, and im sorry soph you didn't deserve that i know how much u liked him, you talked about him non stop for 3 years ' he laughed trying to cheer me up

' it's fine it doesn't matter anymore, but after that i was yelling at them and she said that i shouldn't care because i was just being a whore and fucking around with you and your brothers ' i began to sob

' soph? ' matt snaps me out of my thoughts waving a hand in-front of my face

' im not going anywhere ' he smiles and removes my hand from my mouth, grabbing both of my hands

' sorry that was weird ' i let out a nervous laugh

' it wasn't, i know ur just scared but im not going anywhere soph, i lost you once i can't do it again ' he smiles as we stare at each other for a good minute maybe.

he starts leaning in, and i do too, then he closes the space in between us and we kiss. eventually we pull away , breathless.

' i love you soph ' he smiles

' i love u too ' i laugh as he leans in to kiss me once more until i pull away

' matt? ' i ask

' yea? ' he smiles at me

' are u gonna leave? like what if amelia does take you, even if u don't plan on it, she will matt ' i begin to tear up

' no she won't soph, i love you. im committed to being with you soph ' he smiles and then i lean in closing the space between us once again

' wanna go inside? ' he stands up and reaches his hand out after we pull away

' sure ' i smile taking his hand, interlocking our fingers as we walked back inside

' do i look okay? ' i ask referring to me literally sobbing a few minutes ago

' perfect ' he smiles at me

' matt, sophia! ' we hear nick call out and he waves us over to him and amelia

' okay get off ' julia runs up to us and pushes him off to give me a hug

' sorry it took us so long i was trying to get julia to not beat her ass ' nick shrugs making me laugh a little bit

' i love u ' i say to julia as she hugs me tighter' i love you too ' she smiles and lets go

' wanna go home? ' matt asks

' no let's have fun ' i smile

' no, let's go home babe ' julia smiles as she grabs my hand and walks me to matts car

' hey guys, go get madison and chris ' julia turns to the boys as they nod and walk off

' ur gonna be okay, it's all gonna be okay babe im so sorry i didn't know any of that or we wouldn't have came ' julia gives me a smile before pulling me into another hug

' it's fine i thought it would be fun i thought i was over it until she saw me and matt and matt told her we were dating and she gave him that your cute kind of look so i told her not to steal this one and then i kinda just let it all out ' i admit beginning to tear up again

' good, im glad u yelled at her, if i were you i would've ripped her stupid face off but im not you ' julia laughs making me laugh as well as we pull away

' sophia are you ok? ' chris runs up to me and gives me a tight hug

' im fine now chris ' i laugh

' im so sorry i wasn't there for you ' he kisses the top of my head ( ITS A PLATONIC THING OKAY NOT HER AND MATT THO THATS REAL LOVE )

' it's fine chris ' i laugh and pull away as madison gives me an apologetic smile and pulls me in for a hug

' i got you now, your safe ' madison whispers in my ear making me laugh

* once we all got home and decided to go to bed since it was 11 *

' matt ' i whisper

' yea? ' he whispers back

' i cant sleep ' i say and turn to face him

' me either ' he turns to face me as well

' wanna go to the beach? ' i ask

' sure ' he smiles as we get up and i throw on one of his hoodies since i was already wearing a pair of his sweatpants

' ready? ' he smiles holding out his hand

' yes sir ' i smile and grab his hand as we quietly make our way our way downstairs and out the door, walking on the road hand in hand

' hey sophia? ' matt stops walking

' yea? ' i ask as i stop walking as well, then he grabs both of my hands before letting out a deep breath

' would u want to be my girlfriend? ' he asks

' what? yea, yea of course ' i exclaim with a smile as i wrap my arms around his neck

' i was hoping u would say that ' he laughs wrapping his arms around my waist and spinning me in the air

* after we get to the beach *

' you know what would be fun? ' i ask

' what? ' he asks

' going into the water ' i smile

' sophia ' he says

' cmon ' i smile taking off the sweatshirt leaving me in a croptop and sweats as i slip off my shoes, him doing the same as he picks me up, throws me over his shoulder and runs into the water

' matt! ' i laugh

' down u go ' he laughs putting me neck deep into the water

' it's so cold! ' i exclaim over the sound of the waves crashing

' i know! it was your idea though! ' he laughs

' i know! ' i laugh as well

' your so pretty ' he says out of nowhere

' i love you ' i laugh

' i love you too ' he smiles and pulls me in by the waist and kisses me

' guess what? ' he asks

' i can finally call you my lover ' he smiles and kisses me once more and picks me up by the waist spinning me in the air
