~11~ A secret is revealed

Although I fell asleep with these heavy thoughts, I slept calmly and dreamt that I was on the beach. A memory with a friend of mine from the university, Guo Zifan. We didn't have class that day because it was cancelled. Seo Joon and Hae Jin were at work, so Guo Zifan and I went to the beach. We went swimming, played volleyball with others and lay in the sun.

Later that evening when Seo Joon picked me up from the beach, he scolded me for being so careless with my skin and getting sunburned. Then when we got home, he cooled my skin and put some cream on it. "You really should be more careful, honey. You can go to the beach, but make sure you put on sun block and wear a shirt." He grumbled worried.

When I woke up relaxed in the morning, long before the alarm clock, I decided to go for a run. I got dressed and sneaked out of the house as everyone was still asleep and even the staff was not to be seen.

I ran about 6 miles there and back and when, when I got back into the house, Yibo rushed up to me, took me in his arms and scolded me that he was worried. He thought I had secretly run away.

"As long as my things are here, you can be sure I didn't run away."

"You should have let me know."

"I just wanted to go for a run."

"Sure, but it would have been better if you'd told me."

"Why? I'm a grown-up. I can take care of myself."

"That's not the point. You're a guest here and if you disappear all at once, I'll worry. Please remember that next time."

"Okay, okay, okay Yibo. I'll leave a note next time."

"No, you knock on my door and let me know right away, in case the note gets missed."

"So I should wake you up just to tell you I'm going for a jog for an hour?"

"That's right."

"What if I want to go jogging every day?"

"Then you wake me up every day or tell me when you get up and I'll go with you. That would be even better."

"All right, then. I'll take a quick shower and be right back."

I ran upstairs to my room and took off my sweaty clothes, then I took a quick shower and dressed. And just as I was about to go downstairs, there was a knock on the door.

Yibo came and he looked at me with big eyes. Then he pushed me back into my room, got a towel from the bathroom and rubbed my head with it. "Do you want to get sick? You can't walk around with wet hair."

"Yibo, it must be 80 degrees (24°C) in this house. I'm not gonna catch cold here."

"Will you argue with me?"

"Um, I just want you to know that we are inside the house, it is warm here, and I'm not going to catch a cold."

"So you really want to argue. Xiao Zhan, even if it was 90 degrees (30°C) in here, I don't want you running around the house with wet hair."

"If it's 90 degrees in the house, my hair would dry in minutes." I mumbled.

"What did you say?"

"Uh-huh, nothing. You're right, Yibo."

"You didn't say that. Look, I don't mean anything bad ZhanZhan. I just don't want you to get sick, okay? Please be more careful with your health."

"Yeah, okay. I'll remember what you said."

"I hope so. Now come on, breakfast is waiting." Yibo threw the towel in the laundry basket from the bathroom and then took me by the hand and went downstairs with me to the dining room.

I don't know why he keeps holding my hand when we go somewhere. But it doesn't bother me, so I let him hold my hand if he likes it so much.

Arriving in the dining room, a surprise awaits me. Two other guests were sitting at the table.One of them was Wang Hai Kuan, Yibo's older brother, I just didn't know they were brothers. The other, my cousin Jiang Cheng.

Both saw me and got a red face. They got up from their seats and approached me. "Ha ha, I don't believe it." I said, hugging them both as a greeting.

"You know each other?" Yibo asked me.

"Sure I know Hai Kuan, he was my neighbour and besides he's with my cousin Jiang Cheng."

"Uhm Zhan, nobody knew about this." Said Jiang Cheng.

"How did nobody know? You've been together for more than three years. Why are you hiding this?" I wanted to know. "Uncle and aunt have known for so long."

"We didn't know how to tell Hai Kuan's parents." Jiang Cheng replied.

Wang Mina looked at Hai Kuan sadly. "It's really sad that we need to have Xiao Zhan here first, to learn that our son has been in a relationship for a long time. A Kuan, you should know that we don't care who you're with. What matters to us is that you love each other."

"Sorry, I didn't mean to betray you." I said.

"It's okay, Zhan, I'm glad it's out. And Mom, I'm sorry. I wanted to say it, but I didn't know how, and the more time passed, the more discouraged I got." Explained Hai Kuan.

"Son, no matter what it is, you should know you can come to me and your mom with everything." Said Wang Hao.

They took Hai Kuan in their arms, and also embraced Jiang Cheng and welcomed him into their family.

Finally, breakfast was ready to start. I sat next to Yibo, I made a sandwich and put it on Yibo's plate and without grumbling he ate it. And also the second one I prepared for him. Plus a bowl of cereal with natural yogurt.

"Wow this reminds me of Seo Joon. He did the same thing with Zhan back then." Said Jiang Cheng with a grin, earning a sinister look from Yibo.

Hai Kuan pushed Jiang Cheng, looked at Yibo, then looked at Jiang Cheng again and shook his head. "What are you doing?" I asked them both in confusion.

"Nothing much. Why are you here?" Jiang Cheng wanted to know.

"Zhan will go to Korea with me and work there. Until then, he's our guest." Explained Yibo.

"Who are you going to work for?" Ask Hai Kuan.

"At Zhan's in-laws in the company. We'll be staying with them too." Yibo replied.

"Is that a good idea Zhan? I mean about Joon's twin brother." Hai Kuan wanted to know from me, and everyone was staring at me.

"Twin brother?" They asked at the same time.

"Mmm, Park Seo Kyung is his name. He's married and has a little daughter with his wife, she' s almost three years old now. Even though they are twins, they couldn't be more different." I explained.

"Do they live with your in-laws too?" Yibo asked me

"No, he lives in Itaewon with his wife and child. He runs a nightclub there. His wife was once a dancer there. But now she's just a housewife and mother. They rarely visit the family. And when they do, they fight. Seo Kyung is the black sheep of the family." I told him.

Yibo looked at me worried and I smiled. "Don't worry, they don't even look similar. They are unidentical twins." And as soon as I said that, Yibo looked at me with relief.

"You two would make a good couple. You and Yibo." Hai Kuan said to me, and Jiang Cheng immediately said yes.

"You two should only worry about yourselves and your future." I replied, and Yibo laughed.

"Why? I think he's right."

"What?" I ask.

"Well, look at me. I'm handsome, charming, smart and very loving."

"Are you advertising yourself?"

"Sure, so you can see who's sitting next to you and stop looking around."

"Who says I'm looking around?"

"Well, then, so that you'll notice me?"

"Notice you for what? My boss? A friend? Or a potential boyfriend?"

"That's up to you, but I'd prefer the latter."

"Huh? Shall I help you find a pretty woman?"

"No!"

"Then what?"

"Xiao Zhan, you really are stupid, huh?" Jiang Cheng asked me and laughed.

What was that again? Is Yibo trying to get me to consider him as a possible partner? Doesn't he like women? What's this all about?
