Chapter 11

Zayn POV

I’m mingling with loads of people and trying to talk to everyone. I get really thirsty so I walk into the kitchen to get a drink. I open the fridge and take out another beer. I wont have any more than this, otherwise I wont be able to drive Perrie and Zayn home.

“Oi mate,” a random guy says, “your girl just got confronted by some crazy chick and went off with her mates looking a bit upset.”

“What? Who confronted her?” I ask the stranger.

“I don’t know. She had long brown hair, quite moody looking.”

“Shit. Katy.”

“Yes that was it! She said her name was Katy,” the stranger said, he was obviously a bit drunk.

“Where did Perrie go?” I ask.

“Out the back.”

Before thanks to the total stranger I was walking after Perrie. Urgh Katy, I wonder what she went and said this time.

“Perrie?” I say as I lean my head out of the back door.

“Over here,” I hear Eleanor say and I walk over to the bench where the girls are sitting in the dark.

“Mind if I have a minute?” I ask Eleanor and Jade.

“Yeah, is that ok Perrie?” Eleanor asks Perrie.

“Yeah that’s fine. I’ll see you in a bit,” Perrie says as Eleanor and Jade get up and leave. Jade gives me the dirtiest look ever as the two girls walk back inside.

“I heard about Katy talking to you,” I say, sitting next to her on the bench and putting my arm around her shoulder. She shrugs my arm off her. “Wait you don’t actually believe her do you?” I ask, “What did she even say?”

“She said that you slept with her a month ago. I’m not bothered Zayn. We haven’t even been on a date yet and we’re not boyfriend and girlfriend so you can fuck who you want,” she says, getting angry.

“Perrie I swear to god this isn’t true,” I say, putting my hand on Perrie’s lap. I am surprised because she lets me keep it there. “Look, Perrie, this Katy girl she is crazy. She is a friend of my ex-girlfriend Rebecca and she is just trying to sabotage what we have because she hates me.”

Perrie looks down at her lap and then puts her hand over my hand. I sigh I relief.

“Perrie if we are going to carry on with this thing you’ve got to know that there are going to be girls who say I have cheated. But you have to talk to me first. Don’t believe everything they say, just talk to me,” I tell her.

“I’m sorry,” she says and I see her eyes well up with tears.

“Don’t cry babe. It’s not your fault, it is that stupid Katy’s,” I say pulling her in for a hug.

“Come on guys. Lets go outside for the fireworks,” I hear Louis shout. It must be time for the countdown.

I stand up and turn around to Perrie and say, “Perrie I want you to be my first kiss of the New Year.” She smiles and I take her hand, pulling her up from the bench and leading her to the best view for the fireworks.

“10!” I turn to Perrie and grab her waist.

“9!” She wraps her arms around my neck.

“8!”

“7!”

“6!”

“5!”

“4!”

“3!”

“2!”

“1!”

The fireworks start and I lean my head it to kiss Perrie. She runs her hands through my hair, kissing me passionately while the fireworks continue. When we finally break for air I turn her around to face the fireworks and hold her against me. I look over to the other boys, Liam kissed Danielle, Louis kissed Eleanor, Niall was with the band, but I can’t see Harry. I scan the area and Perrie says, “Zayn look.” And she points out Harry and Jade, who were still kissing.

“Naww,” I say. I grab Perrie’s hand and lead her over to where all the boys are standing.

“Happy New Year guys,” I say, hugging all the boys.

“Perrie are you alright,” I hear Eleanor ask Perrie.

“Yeah I’m fine, she was lying.”

“I knew it.”

As me and Perrie hugged all the boys Harry and Jade walk over.

“Hey mate, I’ll take Jade home, don’t worry,” Harry says, with his arm around Jade.

“Have a good night mate,” I say and Harry and Jade walk off together. He’s definitely getting some action tonight.

“Baby, do you want me to take you home,” I ask Perrie.

“Yes please,” she says and we say our goodbyes and leave to get into the car.

Once we’re in the car I say, “Well that was an eventful night,” and I laugh.

“Yeah, I’m sorry if I ruined it for you,” she says.

“Don’t be so stupid Perrie. You made it one hundred times better. I’ve never felt so lucky to be able to kiss you. You are so beautiful and I am so happy that you let be your first kiss of this year,” I say.

“I’m happy too,” she says.

“I’d quite like to be your last kiss of 2012,” I say quietly, hoping she wont here.

“What?” she says. Wow she has the hearing of a bat.

“Nothing.” I say, embarrassed but keeping my eyes on the road.

“About what you said earlier. You know, when you said that Katy was trying to break up ‘what we have’,” she asks.

“Yeah.”

“Well what did you mean? What is this? What do we have?” she asks.

“Umm. Maybe after I take you out a couple of times I’ll ask you to be my girlfriend. And if you say yes then maybe I’ll be the happiest guy on the planet,” I say, smiling because I was proud of my answer. We pulled up to Perrie’s flat and she leaned over to me and kissed me.

“Thank you,” she says. “And I would invite you in but not until you’re my boyfriend,” she says and she kisses me again and gets out of the car. “Bye Zayn.”

“Bye baby,” I say, a bit gutted that she didn’t invite me in, but I can wait.

I watch her until I see that she is safely inside and drive home.

When I get home I see I have 20 missed calls from Liam, 15 from Louis and about 100 from Niall. I call Niall first.

“Bro what’s wrong?” I say.

“Zayn,” he says, he sounds like he’s chocking on tears.

“What Niall?” I say, getting concerned.

“It’s Harry and Jade, they’ve been in an um,” he says, before he starts crying.

“Niall what?”

“A car accident,” he says. My heart stops.

Eeek. 

Just to let you know, this fanfic is based on like the timeline of Zayn and Perrie's relationship but when nothing is going on in the timeline I will put a little twist in, like this.
