Twenty-Four

08:35, 1 July 2020

- I told you this was a bad idea, they going to kill us – I groaned, stretching my naked body to grab the conditioner bottle from the shelf. Specifically, my roomate's apple scented one.

- Shush, we've still got time – Sam chuckled, rubbing the soap bathed sponge all over his chest.

We had woken up at the sound of my alarm that morning at 6:00AM, our bags almost ready to leave for Munising for our Spring Break with Brooke and Danny. The latter was supposed to pick us all up at 7:00AM from our building, and drive the five hours that separated us from the coastal destination. But with Sam's brilliant idea of showering together to "save time and even water", which ended up doing the exact opposite thing, we wouldn't even have time to pack the last missing things.

- No, we don't. Now we are going to be late – I scoffed, squeezing some product into my hand before I put the bottle back on its place. I turned around, letting my hair out of the spray of the shower so that I could apply the cream all over my locks. While Sam didn't care about punctuality, I was extremely bitchy about it.

Immediately, a pair of arms snaked around my waist, wrapping tightly around me.

- Don't deny that you loved it – he grinned, resting his chin on my shoulder as he proceeded to place kisses all over my wet jaw.

I bit down on my lip, trying to keep the stern façade but blushing as I leaned onto his chest. Our early shower that morning had inevitably turned into a steamy round of sex that had indeed been amazing, more refreshing and awakening than any cup of coffee could ever be. Just thinking about my body pressed between the cold tiled wall and his hot body as he pounded into me already made me hot, picturing the sweat from our bodies mixing with the drops of water falling over us. I could never grow tired of him, and it looked like he felt the same way as we had become figuratively and literally attached at the hip.

After that first night in which we had made love, Sam and I had become inseparable. Even more than we had ever been before. Emotionally, I felt like we were finally in perfect tune. There was no awkwardness, tension or resentment anymore; we were closer in every possible way, and I couldn't feel any happier. The understanding and love that we shared, along with our regular teasing and joking bickering, made me realise that no other bond I had ever had before with someone else had been like this one.

And well, physically, you could also say we were closer than we has ever been. We had sex almost daily, desperately craving the feeling of being one with the other. Living together made it even more difficult to stay apart, only leading to us repeatedly sharing our bodies anytime we could, anywhere we could and as many times as we could.

But it wasn't just sex; there were so many feelings poured into every single caress or touch that it was way beyond something simply physical. And it wasn't all about it either; during the course of that week we had shared some of the sweetest moments. Whether it was simply talking or enjoying the other's presence, our bond was strengthening and we were feeling even more comfortable with what was blooming between us. And in addition, we enjoyed the perks of mind-blowing sex too.

But that morning, we had clearly lost track of time in our little horny world, too absorbed by the other's lips and sneaky hands. And now, we had five minutes till Danny arrived, and still had to shower, get changed, finish packing and if we had luck, grab something for breakfast.

I was startled out of my thoughts when I felt Sam's hand slowly trailing down my flat abdomen, pressing his once again semi-erect cock against my ass as he kept on nibling with the skin of my neck.

- Sam – I inevitably moaned once his hand reached my folds, fighting against how aroused I was getting and trying to focus – Baby, we can't – I sighed, already regretting my decision but knowing it was the right thing to do. If it were up to both of us, we would stay for hours like that. But we had to leave.

I grabbed his forearm to stop his fingers from entering me again once they reached my entrance, and pulled from his hair to detach his lips from my shoulder. That only made him groan, but he did let go, reluctantly grabbing the sponge he had been using and soaping up the rest of his abdomen. I turned around to rinse the conditioner off my hair, carefully watching him as he nonchalantly spread bubbles all over his arms and armpits, his wet hair sticking to his neck. The water droplets covering his naked body made him look like a Greek god, and the steam that filled our whole bathroom only made the whole scene even more perfect. He was damn hot.

- Done checking me out? – he chuckled, walking over to where I stood, trying to get under the spray too.

- Never – I winked back, taking a step backwards so that he could get the soap off his body. I slid my arms around his waist and stood on my tiptoes, giving a sweet kiss to his chin with our bare chests pressed together – And to answer your previous statement, yes, I loved our little morning session. But now we've got to hurry, alright?

He nodded with a roll of his eyes as a response but with a smirk pulling on his mouth. I quickly pecked his lips before I let go of his body, going back to rinsing my conditioned hair. He was done scrubbing his body in a matter of seconds, so he stepped out of the shower, leaving myself to finish and turn the shower off.

When I got out, he was waiting for me with a towel hanging low from his hips and another one in his hands, ready to wrap it around me and dry me off. I happily walked into his arms and welcomed the warmth of the soft fabric enveloping me as he hugged me to his body, rubbing my back and shoulders with his hands over the towel.

He kissed my cheek once before letting me go, getting out of the bathroom without a word, and going into his bedroom to finally get changed. I went to my own bedroom too, quickly throwing my clothes on and putting inside my bag the few things that were missing.

Once I was ready, I sprinted into the kitchen, where I saw we were already fifteen minutes late on the clock on the wall.

- Ready? – Sam asked, carrying both of our bags into the living room. He was luckily fully changed, but seemed unbothered by the time.

- Yes – I replied, giving up on the idea of coffee and hurrying towards the door – Let's go.

- I'm not sitting with Brooke in the backseat – he announced as we walked down the stairs – She'll chop my head off.

- Actually, she is always late. She has no right to be mad at us – I scoffed, jumping down the last step as we quickly made our way to the front door.

I was wrong.

Danny and Brooke were of course already waiting for us, and my best friend's face wasn't exactly amicable. They had clearly been waiting for us, and Brooke in the early morning could be pretty tough to handle.

- I would ask why you are both late but I think I don't want to know the answer – Danny chuckled, getting my bag from Sam's hand and walking over to the trunk with him. I simply blushed.

- I want to believe you'll behave and keep it in your pants during this trip – Brooke spat as she looked from the brown-haired boy to me, our skin probably glowing sex - I'm kicking you both out of the cabin if you ever make us late again because you are horny. Or if I have to hear any of you screaming.

- Good morning to you too, Brooke – Sam sighed, closing the trunk and walking over to the passenger's side of the car.

I simply chuckled, ignoring my best friend's antics as we got into the backseat, leaving both guys in the front. Luckily, she didn't say anything further when Danny started the car and finally drove off, leaving our apartment behind for a week.

To say I had been awake for the whole drive would have been a lie, as I had drifted off after half an hour in the highway. Once I rested my head on an already sleeping Brooke, I dozed off with her in the not so comfortable seat for most of the five hours on the road.

Without me even realising it, we had apparently stopped at a gas station somewhere in between, because when I woke up, my head was resting on Sam's lap instead of Brooke, so they had clearly switched places. His hand was running up and down my back slowly, creating a wonderful sensation along with the sun coming from the window, warming my body.

- Hey – he said, lacing his fingers thorugh my hair and softly massaging my scalp. He had probably been staring down at me while I slept if he had realised I had opened my eyes.

- Hey – I mumbled back, still a little bit sleepy. The feeling of his fingers caressing my head only made me want to close my eyes again. I nuzzled my nose against his thigh, liking the warm feeling of his leg as my pillow.

- Hey there, Sleeping Beauty – Danny chuckled from the driver's seat, acknowledging my woken-up state. I realised that Brooke was awake too, and that I had probably been the only one sleeping the whole road trip as a baby.

- Looks like someone was left exhausted – she chimed, wiggling her eyebrows at Sam and me from the rear-view mirror. I simply chuckled, but was pretty sure he had rolled his eyes. At least she wasn't pissed off anymore – We'll be at the cabin in 5', so get up.

And it was true, as soon enough we had parked outside the wooden house I had spent many of my summers in. Just the smell of pine trees and earth that invaded my nostrils by simply being there comforted me, reminding me of great past memories. Nothing had changed, everything looked exactly as I remembered it. And I loved it.

We quickly unloaded Danny's car, bringing everything in before picking our rooms. Brooke immediately claimed the one both of us had always shared on our summer breaks, which was the largest and comfiest one. She also forced Sam and I to share her parent's room, which was the furthest away from hers, saying she wouldn't want to listen to any unwanted sounds at night. It was one of the prettiest rooms anyways, so I wasn't complaining at all. Danny didn't really care about what room he got, so he simply threw his bags in the first one he found.

After accommodating all the food supplies we had brought and eating some quick lunch, we got changed in order to go out. The lake was just a couple miles away from the cabin, so we walked down the woods for some minutes before reaching it. We followed a special trail Brooke's dad had showed us years before, which lead to a secret spot not so many people knew about.

The lake looked beautiful from there. The colour of the water was incredible, contrasting with the light stones and rocks that covered its bed in a harmonic way. It was still cold, as pretty much everywhere in Michigan, but bearable with the sun shining down on us.

Unluckily, there were some people already there. It surprised me, as we had never seen anyone there besides a friend of Brooke's parents with her family, which actually used to come with us. As we got closer  to the secluded spot and the group of people, I realised they had to be around our age. There were three guys and four girls, and they were all betting on who would dare to actually get into the freezing lake.

Danny, who had taken the lead, stopped some good distance away from them, dropping his backpack down to the floor and taking in the view. I guessed that we would all settle on that spot, but as soon as I attempted to extend a blanket on the ground for us to sit, I was startled by a rarely familiar voice.

- You've got to be kidding me, Brooke Davis? – one of the guys asked in an incredulous tone, standing up. I looked up from what I was doing, wondering who the hell would recognise Brooke in the middle of basically nowhere. But then it hit me. These were the "kids" from her parents' friends. Only, they weren't kids anymore.

- Parker Johnson, oh my god! – Brooke almost squealed, opening her arms to receive his striding figure before they met in a tight hug.

Parker Johnson, along his older brother Aiden and his younger sister Vera, had spent many of our summers in the lake with us. Their cabin was just some miles away from the Davis' one, and throughout our childhood we spent a lot of our time here in Munising together. Taking my time to analyse the group, it didn't take me much to clearly recognise them. They looked pretty much the same, except the guys were of course taller and musclier, while Vera had died her hair blonde. Parker had been the closest to us me and Brooke , being the same age as us, while Aiden pretty much hanged out with my brother Carter. And Vera used to be best friends with Layla, Brooke's sister. So, you could say we had been a pretty tight group.

- Don't tell me this is Gwen Jones – Parker exclaimed when they pulled away, eyeing me in amusement as he got closer to me. My smile grew bigger as I took him in; he used to be like another brother to me.

- Hey there, Parks – I laughed, giving in to his embrace and wrapping my arms around his broad frame. He had definitely worked out his way through puberty.

Aiden and Vera were all over us right away, hugging both Brooke and me, still in disbelief but excited at the same time. Sam and Danny were pretty confused as they stared at the scene in front of them, as well as the rest of the Johnson's group, so Brooke quickly made the introductions.

- Guys, these are Parker, Vera and Aiden – she explained, pointing at them – They were our childhood friends here when we came for summer. And these are Sam and Danny, they are our friends from college – she finished, motioning to both of the long-haired men, who smiled and greeted the rest right away.

- Nice to meet you, dudes – Aiden smiled – This is my buddy Mark, and those are Mary, Becky and Charity, some of Vera's friends – he explained, acknowledging the rest of their party.

They all waved at us, and not too long afterwards, we were sitting altogether chatting and joking around. They had also come to spend their Spring Break here, taking their parent's cabin for the week. We had lost contact over the years, but soon enough, it was if it had never happened.

Both groups cliqued instantly, as we were all pretty much on the same vibe. Becky and Charity were giving Brooke and I weird looks though, but I tried to ignore it. I was happy about being in a place where I had great memories, with the guy I loved, both of my best friends and now some if my childhood friends I hadn't seen in years. I was too joyful to be bothered.

- And that's why whoever gets in the lake, gets a full keg of beer – Mark finished explaining proudly to Brooke, Sam, Danny and me, as we all laughed at the silly challenge they had come up with. We had been talking for hours, the sun already low on the sky, but the conversation never seeming to die.

- And what if two people dare to go in? – the drummer asked, quirking an eyebrow.

- The one who stays the longest wins – Vera chuckled – Good luck with that, though.

- Oh, alright, I'm doing it – Sam said, never passing on a challenge and already attempting to stand up from my side. I quickly grabbed his arm, though, stopping him.

- Don't be stupid, you'll get hypothermia – I said with concern. The thing about Sam, and practically both of his brothers, was that whenever something stupid to do showed up, they would jump right into it – Nobody got in the lake yet for a reason, it's dumb.

- Don't ruin the fun, Gwen, we finally got a candidate – Aiden laughed, not believing there was someone actually willing to get into that death trap of a lake.

- No – I replied again, pleading at Sam with my eyes. I looked at Danny for help, the only sane and respectable one in this group, but he simply shook his head, too amused by the prospect of his friend jumping into the lake to stop him.

- I'll be fine, Gwenny – Sam reassured me with a chuckle, gently getting rid of my tight grip on his forearm before standing up and taking his sweater and shirt off.

- I'll go too – Becky suddenly said, making all of our heads turn to look at her. She was slightly blushing but seemed pretty confident about her decision, standing up and removing her coat from her shoulders. I didn't miss the fact that her eyes were glued to Sam, making me internally chuckle.

- What the fuck, Becky? – Mary laughed, not believing her friend – I didn't expect you of all people to agree on this. You don't even like beer.

- She's not a coward as you – Parker fired back, standing up from his spot as well – You inspired me dude, I'm going too - he added, looking at Sam who was already in his boxers - Let the games begin.

And just like that, the three of them walked in their underwear into the freezing lake. The rest of the ones who stayed on the shore were having the time of their lives watching their faces as they got in further, Brooke almost fainting with laughter. Once the water touched Becky's chest, barely reaching Parker and Sam's mid-abdomen, they all stopped. And now we had to wait.

We got comfortable on our spots, waiting to see who would give up first. I knew Sam was too stubborn to lose, which actually worried me. It was inhuman to stay in a freezing lake for too long, and there wasn't much fat on his skinny body that could provide him heat. Danny had probably noticed my uneasiness as he moved to rest his head on my lap, letting me French-braid his hair to distract myself in the meant time. He knew me too well.

- He's so stupid – I mumbled, intertwining his long, dark locks carefully.

- I know – he chuckled back – But don't worry. He is not that stupid.

- I'm actually enjoying this – Brooke announced from my side as she munched on some biscuits we had brought. Aiden agreed with her.

- Well, I'm not – I sighed – We don't even have a towel.

- We can lend you one of ours – Mark offered, smiling at me. I thanked him, but still didn't felt relieved in the slightest.

- Is it just the cold or the little show Becky is pulling that's bothering you? - Brooke asked in a lower voice, so that only I and maybe Danny could hear.

I looked up from the boy's braid on my lap to Parker, Sam and Becky in the lake. Parker seemed to be in his own world, with his eyes closed shut as if he were fighting with himself to bear the cold a little longer. But the other two were a completely different story. Becky seemed oblivious to the freezing water, as she laughed and batted her eyelashes at Sam, touching his arm or chest anytime she could. She was clearly flirting with him, but the guy seemed oblivious to it, responding amicably instead of using the typical Kiszka's flirty ways. If he had realised she was hitting on him, he didn't show it, not acting awkwardly at all. Or maybe he was too polite to shoo her off. I laughed to myself, finding the situation actually amusing.

- Oh, no, it's just the cold. I find that kind of funny– I chuckled, going back to braiding Danny's hair.

- What? – Brooke sat up from her laying position, whispering back to me – She's literally throwing herself at your boyfriend.

- He's not exactly my boyfriend – I clarified with a pointed look. I realised I had said that a little too loud, so I lowered my voice. In spite of everything, we still hadn't had that conversation yet and couldn't put a name on it– But I don't mind it. I mean, unless she gets really out of hand or makes him feel seriously uncomfortable, it doesn't worry me.

- How can it not worry you? Or make you at least a tiny bit jealous? – Brooke asked in disbelief, finding hard to chew on her cookie with her mouth falling open at my statements.

- Of course I would rather have her not doing it, but she's just innocently flirting; it's not going anywhere. Unless, I don't know, she kisses him, it doesn't make me jealous – I explained, looking up at Sam again. Our eyes met for a second, and he winked at me, making me bite down on my lip as I smiled at him.

- How can you not be ripping her hair off? – Brooke insisted as she shook her head, looking at one of Becky's hands playfully shoving one of Sam's shoulders. Parker had just walked out from the lake, and was cursing in unknown languages as he wrapped himself in a towel.

- I trust him – I simply shrugged.

- What does that have to do with it? – she asked back, making Danny chuckle on my lap.

- I know he is not interested in her; I know he won't act on it and I know that he loves me – I replied – That's enough for me. He'll get away from her if he is really bothered, but right now he's just being nice. The fact that she finds him cute doesn't make her a bad person, and he's not an asshole.

- Ugh, your relationship is so healthy it makes me sick – Brooke whined, shoving another cookie into her mouth.

- Take that as a compliment – Danny told me, bringing his hands up to the sides of his head to affectionately squeeze my knees – I'm glad that you two have finally got together, you are good for each other – he smiled up at me.

- Thanks, Danny Boy – I smiled down shyly, finishing his braid. It was really nice knowing Sam's best friend truly approved of whatever relationship was that we had.

- I think I'm going to throw up – Brooke fake-gagged, making both Danny and I laugh.

- You know you are happy for them too – Danny shoved her playfully, getting up from my lap as his hair was already done and I was more relaxed.

- Whatever – Brooke rolled her eyes jokingly, but couldn't hide the proud smile on her face – Oh, look, they are coming out of the lake!

All of our heads turned to them. Becky was shivering, but my sole focus was on Sam. His lips were blue and he looked really pale. I felt like the skin on his bones looked tighter than ever as he made his way over to us, a stupid smile on his lips as he braced himself to get some warmth. I quickly grabbed the towel Mark was offering me and hurried to his side, wrapping him in the piece of cloth just like he had done with me in the morning. He was shaking.

- If you weren't about to die from hypothermia, I would be killing you – I muttered as I hugged him, trying to warm him up with my body heat. He just chuckled, but buried his face deeper into the crook of my neck as he placed his frozen hands on my hips, the sound of his chattering teeth right next to my ear. I started rubbing his back up and down with my hands, desperate to create some friction and raise his body temperature.

- Who won, then? – Aiden asked excitedly. Vera's shivering friend was wrapped in a towel next to him too. She was practically glaring at me as I comforted Sam, probably realising there was something going on between me and her new love interest.

- We c-called it a truce – the boy I was hugging said, lifting his head up from my shoulder and wrapping his cold arms around my waist. He enveloped me with the towel too, and I took the opportunity to slide my hands from his clothed shoulders down to his freezing naked torso, hugging his waist tightly so that his chilly skin was as close as it could be to my warm body – You guys c-can keep the keg t-though, it is yours in the end. I j-just did it for the sake of the challenge – he stuttered with a chuckle, tucking my head under his chin so that the warmth of my face spread on his cold neck.

- That's not fair – Parker, who was now fully clothed and less blue, said – Why don't you guys come over to our cabin and we have a bonfire altogether? That way we would share the keg and both Sam and Becky get their claim on it.

Becky's face lit up with the mention of her and Sam's name in the same sentence, nodding her head in agreement right away.

- T-that would be f-fair – she stuttered excitedly, her friend Charity nodding her head as well.

- And we would get to hang out more, we missed you guys – Aiden added, throwing his arm over Brooke's shoulder. Said girl look over Danny, Sam and me searching for approval, and once she got it, she nodded too.

- Alright, is tomorrow alright? We are kind of drained from today's drive – my blonde best friend replied - We'll bring our own booze too, just in case – she added with a wink.

- Great! – Vera smiled – I do suggest we leave now, though, it's getting dark and these two idiots will freeze the fuck up if they don't get a hot shower soon – she finished, looking at both Sam and Becky with a worried face.

Everybody agreed and started picking up everything we had brought. I wanted to help but Sam wouldn't let go of me. His teeth weren't chattering anymore, which was good, but his skin was still ice-cold. Most of the group had already started walking away, but no matter how hard I tugged from his arms, Sam wasn't loosening his grip on my body.

- Sam, baby, I know you are cold but we've got to leave – I said soothingly, kissing his right pec before looking around for his clothes. They were resting on a rock, the only remaining items in our surroundings as everybody else had already left – C'mon, your clothes are there, you'll feel better once you put them on.

- I know what will make me feel better – he replied playfully while he sniffled, still not letting go of me. I could already hear the smirk on his voice – I can picture a couple ways you could warm me up pretty well, and they don't involve any clothes – he chuckled.

His cold lips moved down to meet my ear, trying to kiss down to my neck but I pulled him away, knowing that I wouldn't be able to stop him later.

- But none of that will happen if we don't leave, so if you want to put those ideas into practice, I suggest you get dressed right now – I said smoothly, running my nose over his neck before kissing it softly.

That's all it took for him to remove his arms from around me and grab his clothes, putting his pants on first and struggling to put his t-shirt and sweater on as he walked. Shaking my head, I grabbed his shoes and followed him, walking the trail back to the cabin.

As soon as Sam and I stepped in, we all forced him into the shower, which Brooke had already started for him so that it would be really warm when us both got there. She would never admit it, but the bastard was actually worried about him. Twenty-five minutes later, he walked into the living room in the dry sweatpants and t-shirt we had separated for him, looking a lot less pale, his lips a light pink instead of blue. They were not the plump reddish ones I loved, but they were getting there.

He took my hand and lifted me up from the couch, wordlessly aiming to drag me back to our room so that I could keep my word from earlier. But Brooke stopped us. According to the new set of rules she had suddenly made, no sex was allowed when the four of us could be spending time together, reserving it for when we went back to our rooms. It seemed fair enough to me, so I plopped back down the couch, going back to the movie we all had been watching.

A while later we were finishing the delicious meal Danny and Sam had prepared, and not so long after that, we were all laying on the backyard, feeling the grass under our bodies and gazing at the stars and darkness above us. We were passing a joint in deep thought as we stared at the moon shining down on us, surrounded by nature and simply enjoying each other's company. It was cold, but we had carried blankets with us to keep us warm.

- Don't you ever wonder if we turn into stars when we die? – Brooke asked absentmindedly, her eyes lost in the shiny little spots covering the dark blue sky. We hadn't lit a fire, but had kept just one of the lights in the cabin on so that we weren't left in complete darkness.

- Well, actually, stars are a big mass of plasma... - Sam started next to her, but she cut him off.

- Don't go all astrophysical on me now – Brooke complained, not letting him explain further – Wouldn't you like to be a star, Sam?

- It would be cool – Sam agreed with a chuckle. Brooke was a lightweight when it came to pot, and always ended up rambling about the weirdest things.

- You'll be a star someday – I agreed, turning onto my side and propping my head on my hand – Both of you – I clarified, looking over Sam's figure just a few inches from mine to Danny, who was lying right next to Brooke. Maybe they wouldn't be the kind of stars my best friend was picturing, but I was pretty sure they would get far.

- Maybe – the black-haired boy agreed with a nod, taking a drag from the joint he was holding before stretching over both of our friends' bodies to pass it over to me.

- How would you know? – Sam asked, taking the marijuana cigarette from my fingers and bringing it to my lips, letting me take a hit before taking it in-between his own plump ones. He had his one of his arms folded behind his head and was lying in the most relaxed way possible.

- I just do – I shrugged, too busy staring at his soft, sexy hair to put much thought into it.

- Will you remember us when you become stars? – Brooke asked. I really didn't know if she was following our conversation about their band or was talking about literal stars, but anyways, her tone sounded sad, as if the idea of them forgetting about us hurt her.

- How could we forget you? – Danny chuckled, propping himself on his elbow too.

- I will miss you both if you ever leave – she said softly, rubbing one of her eyes with her hand – You guys are the best that has ever happened to me. And I know that I'm weird and a lot to deal with, so thank you all for being my friends – her voice was almost trembling, and my heart became soft in my chest at her vulnerability. Brooke was not one to open up or talk about her emotions, let alone have a serious conversation about how she felt – And yes, that includes you, Kiszka- she added with a chuckle, elbowing Sam softly as she wiped the only traitorous tear that had fallen down her cheek.

Sam was looking down at her in adoration, a tiny smile on his face. He quickly wrapped an arm around her shoulders, bringing her closer to him before he pressed a kiss to the top of her head. Seeing the two people I cared about the most like that made me want to cry; after all their constant arguments and getting on the other's nerves, seeing them so defenceless and affectionate warmed my insides. Brooke rested her cheek on Sam's chest, and he extended his arm that wasn't around her back, pulling me down to rest my head on his shoulder too as he hugged me to his side.

- Come here, Danny Boy – I said, patting the free spot next to me. He put the joint out and walked over to my side with his blanket, laying his body next to mine and placing his head on my free shoulder. I circled my arm around him, so that the four of us were practically laying on an extended group hug.

We stayed like that for what could have been an eternity, shifting closer to each other as we rested under the warmth of our blankets and the phenomenon of the sky, in the comfort of our arms.

- I'm happy we are all here – I said after a while, my hand massaging Danny's scalp as Sam intermittently placed kisses to the top of my forehead, his other hand playing with Brooke's hair. He leaned down to peck my lips softly, hugging me closer as he resumed his previous position.

A mixture of content "me too"s rang in the silence of the night, the only other sound around us coming from the trees' leaves delicately meeting the wind. I smiled to myself, feeling happier than ever. Right there, right then, nothing could go wrong.

Right?

Bonfire next chapter! What do you think will happen?

For my smut fans, sorry for the lack of it😬 But I don't want the story to just revolve around that. There are steamy scenes coming but they will be balanced with the actual plot.

Also, I wanted to let you know that you are free to ask anything regarding the characters, plot line, ideas you have, etc. Any doubts, curious questions about their back story/personality, whatever. I have a strong profile built for each of them but I don't always know if it shows in what I write😂 or what you imagine will happen next in the story.

Anyways, have a good week you all!😄💚🌈
