Chapter 11

Felix sat at his table with his friends and his brother. He thought of joining Hyunjin but as usual, Lee Know would've gotten mad. Instead he opened his phone to text Hyunjin. He'd already eaten his lunch when Bang Chan came and joined them on their table. IN and Changbin got on top of the table cheering. Seungmin hid his face in his hands while Felix and Chan laughed their guts out. It was a nice precious moment. All the noise and sound around them felt comfortable. Lee Know was quiet but he was still smiling. It was nice.

By the time Felix looked back at his phone, he forgot what he was doing so he idly scrolled through. He racked his brain for the lost memory and reached his contact list. Felix decided to message Han and ask him how he was doing with only his mom at home.

Meanwhile,

"Excuse me?" A rough voice snapped Hyunjin out of his thoughts. It was a tall brunette wearing a simple black hoodie and sweatpants. "Can I sit on this table?" He asked and Hyunjin nodded looking down again.

"I'm Min-Joon, nice to meet you Hyunjin." He smirked as Hyunjin raised a brow.

Hyunjin sighed and started scrolling through his phone. He didn't want a conversation, he wanted peace, forever. A temporary death like sleep to be permanent.

Hyunjin felt the sudden urge to text Felix. Hyunjin wondered if that would be alright because Felix was sitting with practically everyone Hyunjin knew... sort of. Hyunjin opened his contact list and smiled seeing the contact 'Sunshine'. Felix really was something special. An angel.

Hyunjin was snapped out of his thoughts and his smile disappeared as the boy, Min-Joon, said, "Are you interested in sports?" Hyunjin gave Min-Joon a side-eye, "You here to recruit me for the football team?"

Min-Joon chuckled, "You for real? No, I'm just trying to initiate a conversation." Hyunjin rolled his eyes, "You tried that earlier too, and I thought my silence would've made you realize, I don't want a conversation. Or maybe I was unclear. Here, let me dumb it down to Tarzan language- Me, no small talk. You, annoying. Quiet."

Min-Joon blinked and burst out in laughter, whether he was laughing at himself or Hyunjin was unclear. (A/N: He better be laughing at himself)

Min-Joon said, "You're practically always alone and now that someone is actually sitting next to you, you want me gone. I guess you like being alone." Hyunjin's brows scrunched in confusion, "What? I- I mean, yeah... sort of?"

Min-Joon shook his head and said, "And here I thought you'd like to sit with my friend group." Hyunjin's eyes widened and he stammered, "What? I-" Min-Joon cut Hyunjin off, "Wanna sit with me silly boy? I owe you a favour afterall."

Hyunjin blinked.

Min-Joon smirked and started walking away.

Hyunjin's brain caught up, this was the same boy who mugged Hyunjin last night... sort of. Hyunjin immediately got up and ran after Min-Joon, unsure of what he was doing. "Hey! Stop please." Hyunjin said as he reached the hallway following Min-Joon. Min-Joon stopped in his tracks and turned around with a gentle smile on his face. They stared at each other for a couple of minutes.

Hyunjin hoped Min-Joon wasn't actually a criminal, but whether he was one or not didn't matter, because Hyunjin was going to tag along anyways. He wanted to die and had no one who would care. 

Meanwhile again,

Felix said goodbye to Han who was getting sleepy and updated Lee Know about Han. Lunch time was almost over. Felix then suddenly remembered how he was going to text Hyunjin. Felix scrolled through his chat logs and smiled seeing the contact 'Sunflower'. Felix frowned after a moment. Earlier when he opened his phone to text Hyunjin, he had felt an urgency, a need to text him. Now it felt unimportant. 

Felix scrunched his brows in thought. What was he supposed to say? How was Hyunjin feeling? What he was doing? Felix thought for a moment, ignoring a faint ache in his chest. He settled on asking whether or not they could meet after school.

Sunshine:

Hey Hyunjin

You free after school?

Sunflower:

Why?

Sunshine:

I wanted to meet. See you in the garden?

Sunflower:

Sure ig

Time Skip After School,

Lee Know went from class to class holding a time table in his hand. Han needed a one month bed rest, but that meant he would fall behind in school work. So Lee Know went class to class after school, getting homework and assignments from different teachers. He didn't want Han to feel overwhelmed after returning to school.

After getting all the homework, Lee Know saw Felix sitting in the school garden. Lee Know walked to him, "You ok?"

Felix looked up and smiled nodding, "You go ahead and help Han, I will be back in a while."

Lee Know nodded suspiciously and left. He was learning to give his brother his space back again. When he reached home he would help Han do his work. After that he'd do his homework as well.

Felix sat at the bench waiting. He'd been waiting for half an hour. He sighed, Hyunjin wouldn't ghost him, right? Felix checked his phone again, the hundredth time this past half hour.

Sunflower:

I'm sorry Felix

I can't come today

Felix frowned. Maybe Hyunjin was nervous? Or maybe he wasn't used to hanging out with people yet? Or maybe he was mad about last night still? Felix laid down on the bench and looked at the cloudy blue sky. He wanted things to just get better.
