Part 17 Future

A/N: this will be the final chapter, I'm gonna write a fyolai story after this so yeah.

This is after both of them have graduated and have jobs, they live together and have been dating for 4 years.

Ranpo got off the plane and walked to the gate.

He had just come back from his business trip, he needed to solve a case and Poe stayed at home since he had a a new book signing.

He was very excited to be back home, he had missed Poe even though they would call and text everyday when they were apart.

Poe greeted him and Ranpo immediately hugged the other.

"Hi Ed!! I missed you so much!!" Happily exclaimed Ranpo

"I missed you too dear" replied Poe

(Idk I like when ppl use couple names but honestly I just am not sure if he'd say that, whatever)

They drove back to their apartment. They were planning to have a celebration on Poe's new book and something else.

They stopped by a store to buy some food, even though they were adults, they still bought candy, soda's and other snacks.

"I almost forgot I have a delivery I need to pick up!" Said Poe as they drove.

"What kind?" The other asked.

"It's a surprise" he answered.

"OK I'll wait for later then I guess"

Poe got the delivery, it was in a neat blue bag, the brand was one Ranpo hadn't heard of.

When they got home, they caught up, Ranpo told Poe about the food he had as it was the most exciting thing there for him.

"The Murder was so obvious it's annoying how long it took to find evidence" said Ranpo as he ate some sweet popcorn.

(OK in my country the popcorn is literally called just "sweet popcorn" so yeah)

«I suppose, but every murder is obvious to you" chuckled Poe.

"You're right" agreed the shorter (??? POV me trying to call them by something other than their names:)

The two continued laughing until Poe suddenly asked Ranpo to grab something from the bedroom.

Ranpo was confused but decided to do so.

When he came back out, the room was lit only by candle light.

"Poe?" asked Ranpo.

(My brain isn't braining what I should write)

"Since the moment we first met you captivated me. You were special" said Poe

Ranpo stayed silent, pretending as if he definitely didn't deduce this would happen since he saw Poe at the airport.

(I CAN NOT BE SERIOUS ISTG I"M DYING)

"I need to ask you something, we've been dating for four years so I think it's time" he said as he crouched down.

"Yes" replied Ranpo before Poe even said the first word.

"I-I didn't ask the question yet..." nervously mumbled Poe.

"Yeah well I deduced the question and my answer is yes" answered Ranpo.

"Can I atleast ask it still?" questioned Poe.

"Yeah go ahead" beamed the other.

"Will you marry me?" he asked.

"Yes!" exclaimed Ranpo.

Poe then showed Ranpo the box, it was a pastry that he had specifically asked for inside it was a simple silver band.

"This is the best thing someone has given me!" gasped Ranpo as he bit a piece of the cake box off.

"I'm glad you like it" chuckled Poe.

They spent the rest of the evening joking around.

A year later they got married.

And that's the end of this story because I swear to a god I don't believe in I'm tired and have no inspiration.

I'm writing this right before I go tutor someone so it's a little rushed and I wrote half of it on my phone.

I hope you enjoyed this story and I like writing it.

I know it's a little short but yeah.
