32. 'Trust Me'
16:29, 27 July 2013Elijah's POV:
Once I was sure only Rebekah was at home, I came back to the house and relaxed. I was still slightly shocked about the news of Abby and Klaus together.
I didn't see Abby as the type of person who would intentionally cheat on me to hurt me, or even do it in the first place. And especially with Klaus. Choosing my closest brother just made it ten times worse.
I sat on the edge of my bed, reading through some of her old diaries I had found awhile back, from before Greyson had died. I felt a little guilty for intruding on her privacy, but I wasn't the one who should feel guilty at this point in time.
***' July 10 2011
It was my birthday today. It was so great because Greyson actually remembered for once, and he got me some jewellery. Stefan got me some flowers and chocolate, and Caroline got me a new phone! I plan to come up with something great to give her for her birthday in return.
July 15 2011
Damon nearly died in a large fire today. It was put upon the town vampires by the council, led by Elena's Uncle John. I would have got dragged in as well, if I hadn't stuck by Stefan the whole time. We had found a spot out of range of the council's weapon, a device that spread a high frequency ringing, which immobilised every vampire around.
No one knows where the mayor got to, Damon says he was in the burning building. Also, when Tyler, Caroline and Matt were driving home to safety, Ty was affected by the device, and crashed off the road. Carr is in intense care in the hospital. I hope she gets better!
July 20 2011
Katherine is here. She arrived after the fire, and she is plotting and threatening all of us. I wish Damon wasn't so charmed by her.
July 21 2011
Greyson is dead.I can't believe it.'

Teardrops were stained over these last few pages, and I couldn't bare to read anymore of her pain and sadness. Flipping the diary shut, I placed it on my bedside table and vowed to return it some other time.
My mobile started viciously ringing from my jacket pocket, and I produced it slowly, there was only a small number of people I felt like talking to at the moment.
But 'Stefan Salvatore' displayed up on the screen, and I decided to give him the joy of me answering.
"Hello.""Elijah, I'm at The Grill, listening in to Klaus and Abby's conversation-""I already know she cheated on me alright-""No. It's something else. Come here now.""Believe it or not, I don't feel like seeing either of them at the moment.""Come. Trust me, you won't regret it."
The Salvatore ended the call, and I turned off my phone and gave a sigh. Whatever it was, it better be damned well important.

Abby's POV:
I couldn't believe my ears. For a minute I processed Klaus's words, and thought about it. In a way, I wished it was true. It would solve all of my unexplained feelings.
But there was one simple neglecting detail.
"But Elijah turned me? How am I sired to you?" I questioned him with hard eyes.
His face was a mixture of different emotions, and an expression I hadn't seen on Klaus before. Guilt.
"Abby. Elijah and me weren't exactly honest to you about this whole thing. Well, I wasn't."
My eyes glared into him, as he peered down at the table, avoiding my face. Greyson, who was sitting across from us, just looked slightly amused by the whole thing. Klaus carried on, his rich British accent ringing through.
"You see, it was 200 hundred years ago that you were turned. Things were very different then." He looked up into my eyes, and I nodded, pleading him to carry on.
"Yes, you were in the forest. Me and Elijah had been out for a walk that afternoon, through the trees in the sun. It was then that we stumbled across you, and he took an instant interest in you."
My eyebrows raised as I took this in. Elijah liked me 200 years ago? Wow. Now I felt even worse for cheating on him.
"You looked like you had been hit by car, or something to that effect, and you were stumbling around, before eventually falling over in the dirt. However, Elijah didn't have the balls to turn you. He didn't want to force his blood onto you like that. However, I knew that I would have to save you in the long run, so I ended up turning you. Me. I changed you into a vampire."
My eyes widened even more as I realised what had happened. "So, Elijah lied to me that day?"
Klaus quickly shook his head. "No no, I think he truly believes he did turn you. It was two centuries ago love, a lot can be forgotten in that amount of time."
My brother rolled his eyes at this story. Sometimes I wondered if he had an ounce of kindness in his body. I guess I knew I could count on him when it really mattered.
The Mikaelson took a large swig of his drink, before draining it and slamming it down onto the table. "So there it is. You are sired to me, and now, I order you to go kiss and makeup with my brother."
I raised one eyebrow in confusion before turning towards where he was staring, to see Elijah sitting at a table across the room.
It was the the table next to the Salvatores' , and Stefan smiled kindly at me when I flicked him a glance. It seems he was probably the one to call Elijah over here. I mentally reminded myself to thank him later.
Before I knew it, I was in the warm embrace of Elijah's arms, my safest and most favourite place in the world, and oh how I'd missed it. Sure, we'd only been apart for a few hours, but they seemed like forever. As I snuggled closer into his shoulder he whispered into my ear.
"I love you so much."
I smiled and took a deep breath, inhaling in his delicious scent. "I love you too."
I felt really bad for betraying him with Klaus, but now that we knew the reason, a bit of guilt was protruded off of my chest. There was still the huge problem of the sire bond, and I had no idea how to fix that. But I was sure that as long as I had him, everything would turn out okay. Although I felt less guilty now, I still wanted to keep Lijah in my arms as long as possible.
Unfortunately, we forgot we were in the middle of a crowded bar at seven o' clock. Everyone was either drinking or having dinner, and every supernatural eye in the room was eyeballing us. Stefan gave an awkward cough and we hastily broke apart. I still clutched hold of his hand though. I always need to have a part of him with me. And I was never letting go.
