10. Bonnie The Bloodbag
00:03, 21 December 2014Damon was every bit as wild as I'd imagined. But that meant a lot of alcohol.
As soon as I got into the house I grinned at Stefan's dissaproving face and he whispered. "Good luck." before rushing out the door.
I was sure I could handle Damon better than Stefan could. I knew how to have fun. And I could handle my drink. And my thirst for blood. Speaking of that, I had been clean for the past few days, and thinking like that was making me thirsty.
I strode through the hallways, there was pounding music everywhere. Like, rock music. Seems like Damon actually had good taste. Right before I went down to the basement to grab a blood bag I spotted a dark figure out of the corner of my eye, slowly waving along to the music, completely wasted.
Rushing up behind him, I tackled the Salavtore to the ground. He looked up with a queasy smile. " Hello Abby. Wanna join the partaaaaaayyy?"
I grinned. Oh I hadn't seen this Damon for a long time. This was going to be fun.
I grabbed a bottle and gulped some down.
"Sure am!" I shouted over the music, as I turned the volume up to max.
Damon got up and started dancing around with me. He was so carefree, so fun. Even if this was his way of grieving, it was better than obsessing over Elena all the time.
We ended up in the largest bedroom, his of course, jumping all over the beds and shouting to the songs. I didn't know half of them, only the choruses.
In a way, I felt bad because Rick had just died and we were partying. What would the rest of the Mystic Falls residents think of us. We must look so arrogant. But I didn't care. As long as Damon wasn't brooding like his younger brother. Nowadays I could relate more to the older Salavatore. I had become more hard, and now I don't show my feelings as easily.
Becoming a vampire really changed me.
####
Bonnie's POV:
I woke up late that night, still dressed in my clothes from the day. I could feel the spirits summoning me. They wanted help. But I was determined to use my powers for the good of my loved ones. I didn't want to go out of control like other witches.
But I had no choice. They pulled me up. I couldn't control anything about myself. They had taken over everything, except my mind. However much I struggled, I couldn't resist.
They made me walk, out of my house, through the streets, heading for the old Lockwood property.
No no no no no. This couldn't be happening. I knew who was controlling me, and what they wanted. It was Emily. And she was leading me towards Alaric. I wasn't sure whether he would be dead by now. I hoped he was, he deserved a peaceful timely death. Not like this.
My mind pushed against the magical barriers, but nothing helped. My body led itself right in front of Mr. Saltzman, and my arm sliced itself, blood dripping out and I mentally screamed as my wrist met his mouth.
NO NO NO NO NO.
If he awakens as a vampire, all hell will break loose. And unfortunately, that exact thing happened. The last thing I saw before passing out was Allaric sucking the blood from my veins, his eyes turning darker by the second.
####
Abby's POV:
Me and Damon woke up that morning laying on the couch, completely hung over and drowsy, with my phone violently buzzing on the pillow next to my head.
I reached my aching arm over and snatched it up, before loooking through blurry eyes at the message. It was from Bonnie:
Abby,
Something has happened. Where are you and the Salavatores?
I need your help.
This text confused me because me and Bonnie weren't good friends, she really only stuck with Elena. But this seemed urgent so I flashed the bright phone light in front Damon's eyes, forcing him awake. He growled at me, pulling his lips back, then blinked a couple of times before reading the message. He shot up, pulling his trademark leather jacket it on.
"What are you waiting for?" he gave me his award winning smoulder as he flashed to the door.
I grinned and flashed past him, tousling his hair on the way. "Let's go save the witch."
We couldn't be bothered driving, and we both needed the freshen up run, as we were both still half asleep and drunk. I giggled as I realised Stefan wouldn't be too impressed with us if we met up with him.
####
We arrived at Bonnie's house to find her sitting on a chair, a towel pressed to her neck. it was drenched with blood. I grinned and backed away from the door. I was going to let Damon deal with this one. He was like a miniature Klaus in training.
He frowned at her.
"What the hell did you do?! I'm guessing this was Alaric that did this to you?"
She nodded. " I couldn't help it. Emily was controlling me, they wanted him to turn."
The Salvatore promptly punched the wall. Bonnie was lucky no hole was created. I decided to step in.
"Damon calm down, okay."
He gave me a sarcastic smile. "Oh yes Abby, everything's peachy keen, Alaric, my best friend is now on the loose trying to kill every vampire in the history of vampires. Which, means me, you, Stefan, and oh yeah, your beloved Elijah!"
He said the last bit with a mocking tone. I coughed.
"Um, how do you kn-"
"No time for that." he interuptted. "Let's get the witch to Elena's, and we will fill in Stefan and Gilbert when we get there."
The drunkness definitely wasn't helping the situation. I nodded.
"Let's go."
####
We had just sat down at the table in the Gilbert house, and Stefan was firing questions at me and Damon.
"I thought you were standing guard!" his eyebrows knitted together.
"Don't blame me! Blame Bonnie the bloodbag. She fed him." Damon said, with an exasperated look at the witch.
She looked at me for help. "I barely had any idea what was happening. The witches led me there. They wanted him to feed, so he'd turn."
Stefan paced around. "So where's the stake now?"
"Oh the white oak one?" His brother fired back. "The one that can kill an original and wipe out and entire line of vampires? WE DON'T KNOW."
He glared at Bonnie. She got mad.
"If you are so upset with me, then why did you feed me your blood to save my life."
"Because I do stupid things Bonnie." he growled. " I do things like let my friend die with dignity, when I should've just killed him."
Stefan sighed and rubbed his forehead. "Alright so how do we kill him now?"
"I've been trying to figure that out. A witch can't truly make an immmortal creature, there's ALWAYS a way to undo a spell." Bonnie nodded.
Damon moved in closer. "So. What's the witchy workaround."
She shrugged.
"That's the problem. I don't know."
Me? Well I was just standing there mentally wetting myself because they were all so serious. I know I should be more concerned of my life but I really don't see anyone killing a tough scary hybrid like Klaus.
I turned around to a knock on the front door. I zoomed my hearing in as Jeremy answered.
"What the hell do you want?"
"Now is that any way to treat a guest." I could recognise that British accent anywhere.
I flashed to the door. Speak of the devil.
"Hello Abigail." he nodded in greeting.
"Hello Klaus." I smiled.
Him coming may be a blessing, but I had a feeling Elijah's brother was selfish sometimes. And by the look on his face I could tell the Salvatores weren't going to be pleased by what he has to say.
