Graduation

The New Directions got off the bus and started walking into the grave yard. Artie held our Nationals trophy on his lap as he wheeled ahead of us. Tears were falling down most if not all of our faces. Ryder had his arm around me protectively.

Artie placed the National trophy on Finn's grave. I buried my head in Ryder's shoulder and cried a bit more.

We all held hands and stood, looking at Finn's grave.

Tears fell down my face as we stood looking at Finn's grave. The Nationals trophy sat there. Two flowers on either side of the trophy were going sideways. It almost looked like Finn was holding the trophy.

"We did it for you, Finn." Mr. Schue finally said. "We won this for you."

I could imagine Finn holding the trophy, that smile on his face.

"We did it." he'd say. "We did it!"

"We did it." I whispered. "We did it." I said louder and everyone cheered.

The Glee club walked through the halls. Everyone cheered us as we passed by. Second year in a row winning Narionals. It was a great feeling to not be a loser anymore.

We stopped in front of the choir room and turned to see the crowd that had gathered behind us. They were all smiling and clapping. Artie held up the trophy and everyone cheered louder, including coach Sue.

We turned and walked into the choir room. Mr. Schue unlocked the cabinet where the trophy from last year was. Artie passed him our new one and he put it next to our old one.

Mr. Schue pulled out a bottle of champaign and held it up high in the air. We all grabbed cups and cheered.

We all got our cups poured up and did a cheers. We laughed and had fun as the champaign spilled every now and then.

I found myself in front of a plaque of Finn that Rachel brought in shortly after he died. I took a sip of my champaign and smiled to myself. He would be proud if he were here right now.

"Hey beautiful." Ryder said, putting an arm around my shoulder. "Whatcha looking at?"

I pointed to the picture.

"The show must go...all over the place...or something." I quoted. "I can totally see Finn saying that."

Ryder laughed.

"I can too." he said, nodding.

I looked up at my amazing boyfriend, then back to the picture of Finn.

"You remind me of him." I said, taking another sip of my drink. "You were both on the football team, you both sing, you both play drums and you're both adorable."

Ryder chuckled.

"I think someone had a crush on Finn." he said and gave me a quick peak on the lips.

"And I think someone has had a bit too many drinks." I laughed.

"One or two!" he argued.

"Well, no more." I said and gave him a kiss. "And I love you."

It was finally here. The day of graduation. The graduating New Directions members, Tina, Sam Blaine, Artie and Brittany, stood at the front of the room.

"We've been practicing this practically since the school year began." Blaine started. "It's, in a way, our goodbye song."

"Even though none of us want to say goodbye." Tina added. "It's been an amazing year and it's so hard to say goodbye to the Glee club."

"So. Here we go." Artie finished.

Artie wheels across the stage and gets his diploma from Mrs. Pillsbury, er, Mrs. Schuester. He moves the tassel on his hat and wheels over to the other side of the stage.

Blaine walks across the stage in his red graduation robe. He got the diploma from Mrs. Schuester and gives her a hug. He moves his tassel to the other side of the hat as he walked to the other side of the stage.

I felt tears well up in my eyes as I realized that one of my best friends was leaving school for good. Ryder put an arm around my waist.

"Don't cry sweetheart." he whispered.

"I'm not sad." I said, half honestly. "I'm happy he's graduating. He's gonna go places."

Sam: "Say

"Tina Cohen-Chang."

Tina walked to stage and got her diploma. She held it up and smiled as she moved her tassel and joined Blaine.

Sam makes his way across the stage to get his diploma. He smiled down at it, looking quite proud of himself, before holding it in the air as if it were a trophy and moved the tassel on his hat. He then moves over with the rest of the graduates.

"Brittany Pierce."

Brittany raced across the stage as if she were a horse and got her diploma. She moved her tassel and joined the rest of the graduates.

"Congratulations graduating class of 2013!"

The graduates cheered and threw their hats into the air. The other students cheered for them as well. I held back my tears as I watched my friends laugh and hug each other. They were so lucky. They were going out to live their lives.

Then again, I'm here with Ryder and I couldn't ask for anything more.

It was the last day of school. I was in the choir room, just sitting there. Thinking. Thinking about all the great memories. The great friends. The great every.

"Hey." someone said. I looked up to see Blaine in the doorway. "What are you doing here?"

"Remembering." I replied. "What about you? You ready for NYADA?"

"I'm ready. But I'm really gonna miss you."

"I'm gonna miss you, too."

"How about one last duet before the school year ends."

"What do you have in mind?"

Blaine smiled and began to hum a familiar tune. I smiled back and stood up, beginning to sing.

Slowly, we finished the song. I slung my arms around Blaine's neck and hugged him close. He wrapped his arms around my waist and hugged me back.

"I'm gonna miss you, Blaine Anderson." I said.

"I'm gonna miss you, too, Marcia's Hales." he said. "But we'll never fall out of touch. I promise. I'll Skype you whenever I can and text you and call you. I promise, Marcia. We're gonna stay friends long after I leave."

I nodded and wiped away the tears that were threatening to fall. The school bell rang and the halls were filled with excited teens. I turned back to Blaine.

"Looks like I'm about to do my last walk of the McKinley halls." he said and offered my his arm. "Wanna come?"

I nodded and took his arm. We walked down the hall together and out into the warm summer air. That was it. Blaine was graduated and I was about to become a Junior.
