Friends over dinner
00:16, 5 December 2016Your POV:
How delightful, I thought, rolling my eyes again.
"Mr Stark, can you-" Calvin began but he was soon interrupted by the billionaire.
"Now, now Calvin. I see that (y/n) here and your parents of course taught you manners but please call me Tony."
At the mere mention of my parents, Calvin's eyes which once were filled with fire now were a deep shade of grey. I noticed that and quickly changed the subject.
"Are you hungry, Calvin? What am I saying? You must be starving. Mr Stark, can you give me a hand?" I motioned him to follow me.
Luckily, he did. And after we were out of Calvin's room and at a safe distance away, I turned on my heels which startled the billionaire.
"Wow, now. What's wrong?" He asked.
"Can you please not mention our parents in front of him again?" I demanded kindly, sort of.
"Why? I didn't-" he stopped mid-sens, after thinking about it for a moment, he spoke again "Oh, I am so sorry, I didn't know... how- how did it happen?".
"I don't like to talk about it." I simply said as I made my way down the hall again, towards Calvin's room.
"Umm... Miss (y/n), I think you forgot something." He called.
I sighed "what is it?".
"You said we would be out fetching Calvin some food." He cleared. That was totally out of my mind. I searched my pockets for money. To my surprise, I found my keys however no wallet. I must of left it back home.
"Oh, just great. I forgot to bring my wallet with me." I was frustrated, I mean I practically promised Calvin some food. And let me tell you, no one and I mean no one jokes with him about food.
"Please, let me suggest that you and your brother come have dinner with me in my tower." He suggested.
"Well, I don't want to be eaten alive. So yeah, why not?" I feared the look of disappointment that Calvin would give me if I enter his room empty-handed.
"Excellent, let me just take care of things down in the reception and we'll go." He said with a smile.
I'm actually coming to like this guy. I thought. And frankly, I don't mind it at all. I mean all he has shown is kindness and generosity. What more could I ask?
I informed Calvin of the plan and he almost jumped of happiness. Although he didn't because of his broken leg. But I'm sure he did it mentally.

After we had eaten a really fancy dinner on a really fancy table, a heavy rain of questions fell upon Tony. Calvin just wouldn't stop asking him about his suits and the tech stuff that I didn't quite like nor understand.
"(Y/n), what do you think?" Calvin broke my train of thoughts.
"Uh.. to be honest, I wasn't paying attention to your talk, because it was all technology stuff. And it's not a topic which will trigger my interest." I admitted.
Calvin ducked his head, probably embarrassed, and Tony chuckled. "You talk like Pepper." He whispered but loud enough for us to hear.
"Ooh, I am a fan of her. By the way, where is she? I didn't see her nor the rest of the team all night?" I asked, curiosity getting the best of me.
"Actually, she-umm-she... we... We sorta broke up... a-and... yeah..." he was lost in his thoughts for a moment before he regain his ability to speak again "as for the avengers, each is on some kind of mission. Don't tell them I told you that." His lips struggled to smile but only managed to half smile.
I can see that he still misses Pepper. But what I don't understand is how could they break up without it being all over the news. I guess this is one of Tony's tricks, being a billionaire and all.
Just like we don't like to talk about our parents, he doesn't want to talk about Pepper. So I tried to find a way to lighten the mood.
"Do you still have the A.I, Tony?" I asked, shocked of myself that I called him by his first name but his face did seem to lighten up a bit so it was worth it.
"Well, now that you mention it, Friday, can you show Calvin the way to the room of video games?" He asked, more like ordered the A.I.
"Right away, Mr Stark." It responded.
The elevator door opened for Calvin to get in, and that's what he did before waving back at me with the widest smile I've even seen.
"Well, you made his day." I turned to the billionaire when the elevator had closed.
"I'm glad. " he simply said, with a small smile. Apparently he is still sad with the whole Pepper thing.
"Friday, can you please play some music for us?" I asked the A.I.
"Of course, miss." It responded, then it played the loudest music I have even heard. I litterally fell from my chair, because it startled me.
"Mute." I heard Tony shout over the music. There was a silence but my ears were pounding so I wasn't sure if it was silent or I just went deaf.
"I am so sorry for that, (y/n). Friday, play something calmer." He said helping the embarrassed me up back on my feet.
Suddenly, a soft tune filled the tower which was really calming. I felt myself completely relaxed just listening to it.
"Still friends?" The philanthropist asked with an obvious pout face.
"Of course, just please don't cry." I giggled, he also did a little chuckle before turning serious.
"Care for a dance, (y/n)?" He asked with a hand offered for me to grab.
"Sure, after all, we're friends over a dinner, right?" I said taking his hand as he continued to smile, and this time it was a happy one.
And I couldn't help but be glad that I was responsible for that gorgeous smile he wore.
