Darius offered the Scribe Virgin his hand, palm up of course, and took a deep breath. This was it.

The end of his life.

Penehlope held her hand up, palm down and before the Scribe Virgin could admonish her , he grabbed her hand and flipped it around. Stupid girl.

The Scribe Virgin narrowed her eyes at him, but nodded. And as she touched both their hands, her smile got really big.

Oh shit.

She was going to declare this a ‘really good mating’ , wasn’t she?

He frowned as the Scribe Virgin threw her head back and actually barked out a laugh, the sound like a hundred chirping birds and he looked sideways to see Butch smiling at the sound.

- Hello? Excuse me? Can you mate us now, or what?

Darius hissed.

- Show some respect, woman!

Her frown was obvious and he couldn’t help but roll his eyes at her.

Well, wasn’t he up for a few good centuries of fun.

The Scribe Virgin regained her composure, but kept her smile.

- Oh you silly silly girl.

- Excuse me?

- Before we begin the ritual, I would like to remind you all of the Terms and Conditions that were to be met for this ceremony to be completed successfully. I’ll just call them by their names, as we all know by now who their fathers are.

She shook her head and chuckled as she started reciting.

- Darius, will be called upon, when Penehlope starts her transition. Darius will feed her as many times as needed until she has completely transitioned.

- If Penehlope survives her transition, the date of the mating ceremony shall be set for 5 years after.

- Every month, starting one month after the transition, Penehlope will feed of Darius, and Darius will feed of Penehlope, unless there are extenuating circumstances that justify a feeding outside of this agreement. Should Darius be unable to feed Penehlope, a suitable alternative shall be found by the king.

- During the 5 years up until the mating ceremony, Penehlope will remain a Newling. She will not be with anyone, this includes Darius. Should her needing hit early, Darius will be called to service her, even if they have not been through the mating ritual. Should Darius be unable to service her, for justifiable reasons, Penehlope shall be drugged to calm the effects of the needing.

- Penehlope is to remain faithful to Darius from the moment she survives her transition, not being allowed any sexual relationships outside the one that will start the moment they get mated.

- After the mating is completed, Penehlope will move into the royal residency to live with Darius as first mate.

- Darius shall be allowed to take up to three more Shellans should he wish to do so but only after Penehlope has borne at least one living heir to the throne, no matter if the young is male or female.

- Should Darius choose to take on more shellans, Penehlope will always be first mate and the main feeding source.

- Darius is to be faithful to the first mate after the mating ceremony. Should he take on additional shellans, this faithfulness shall extend to them. They must be official shellans and have gone through a proper ceremony, to be recognized as such.

A breach of any of the aforementioned terms and conditions will result in a cancelation of the mating ceremony. If the mating ceremony has taken place and the infractions occur after, the mating will be instantly annulled and both parties will be freed from their mutual obligations.

- The offending party shall be punished by the Scribe Virgin, so me, in whatever way she sees fit.

She chuckled again.

- Now, who can guess which contract terms have been breached. And more importantly… by whom?
