- Nalla! Nalla, open up!

The loud screams and knocks at her door had her frowning. Who the hell would come knocking at 1 in the morning?

- Nalla, I need to see you… please.

The voice was slurred and she thought she recognized it, but wasn’t too sure. She probably needed to call Phury who was up at the main house. She just had to be Miss independent and stay in one of these individual cabins, didn’t she?

She peeked out the door and there he was. Wobbling on his feet, bleeding from several cuts, but… he was here. On her doorstep.

She felt him nuzzle her neck and before she could stop him, his fangs penetrated her skin. They drank from each other desperately, and all too soon, Darius lifted his head, forcing her to do the same.

She nodded.

Unlike when she was in her needing, she was lucid now. She wasn’t so vulnerable and she needed this.

She needed him. Because she knew, there would be no one else after him.

- Did he tell you what he did?

- No, he refuses to tell me. Says I don’t need to know.

- He’s right. But just know that he should have been a lot harder on me.
