Theodore Nott

09:18, 25 December 2023

Draco was in the Groom's Room with Theo. Theo was wearing his red suit and was standing in front of the mirror staring at himself from different angles.

"Damn, I look goooodddd!" Theo mumbled. "Mmmm mmm."

Draco turned around from his mirror to face his Best Man, and smirked. "Yeah, yeah, very good." He looked back in his own mirror where he was admiring himself. "Not as good as me, though." He was in a black tuxedo and his blond hair was impeccable.

Theo walked over to where Draco was. "Hey, I am the one who got you and Granger together, so at least agree with me when I say how gorgeous I look!" He exclaimed.

Draco rolled his eyes at his best friend. "Okay, first off,"--he pointed at Theo,-- "you did not get Hermione and me together. You gave me advice, but other than that..." He sighed and shrugged his shoulders in sarcasm. He sat down on his green bench and crossed his long legs.

"My advice led to you and Granger being together," Theo justified. "Plus, I helped you realise your love for her!"

The door to the room flew open and in walked Amber, Theo's wife, wearing her red dress.

"Theo, baby!" She exclaimed and ran into her husband's arms. He looked taken aback at the sudden turn of events, and Draco put a fist up to his mouth, holding back a laugh. "I've been looking for you!"

Theo held her at arm's length. "I've been in here the whole time, love," he assured her. "Why aren't you with the Bridesmaids helping out Granger-I mean Hermione? I'm sure they need help, and isn't that part of your job?"

Amber threw out her hand, implying it was no big deal. "Oh, they've got it handled. That ginger has really got a hold on things." Theo grimaced at Draco who was still holding back laughter.

"Besides, I saw that Lavender woman walk into the Bridal Room when I passed it, so they are fine." Theo raised his eyebrows. "Don't worry!"

Draco got up off the bench and walked over to them both. "Um, Amber, you do know that that ginger is six months pregnant, correct?" He glanced at Theo who appeared to have no idea what to say. "And, she really could use all the help she could get." He folded his arms, studying her reaction. Amber seemed to be fighting between listening to him and making up another excuse. "Whatever," Draco added, "but I think it's pretty selfish in my opinion."

"Fineee," Amber whined, "I'll go 'help' them." And, with that, she slunk to the door and slammed it shut behind her.

"As always, lovely wife you got there, Theo," Draco patted him on the back, laughing, then walked over to sit on his bench again.

Theo finally came out of a daze. "Oh, shush, Malfoy." They both laughed and he took a seat across from Draco. "So, big day, huh? I mean, you and Granger! Never saw that coming."

Draco smiled. "I'm so lucky, Theo. I mean, that woman...." He faded out, thinking of Hermione and how perfect she was. "I can't tell you how much I love her. And, the crazy thing is, Mother actually approves. And, not only that, she actually likes Hermione. I mean, she was with her throughout the whole wedding planning. Mother practically forced her to choose everything she wanted, and she wouldn't take no for an answer." He leaned back against the wall. "I never thought I would have seen the day."

"And what about Weasley. You know, Ron?" Theo asked. "Is he coming today?" He assumed the answer was no, but he wanted to ask anyway.

Draco frowned and sighed. "No. Weasel isn't coming. He wouldn't even accept an invitation. He hasn't seen his kids in months, so there's no way he would come to this. I only care because it's hurting Hermione. It's hurting Brown as well, for a good reason."

Theo stood up and walked over to the window, staring out at the grass below. "It really is unfortunate, but imagine what would happen if Weasley had accepted?" He turned back to face Draco. "I mean, it would be hell."

Draco smiled at his friend. "I'm just happy the rest of us are here. Look how things have turned out over the years? Who would have thought?"

Theo chuckled and walked back over to Draco. "You got that right, Malfoy. I mean, you and I went to Finnigan and Thomas's wedding last month! We were actually invited to that!"

"At first I thought I only got the invite because of Hermione, but Finnigan told me he wanted me there either way," Draco said. "Weird how things change."
