Queen of Tornadoes

JAY-JAY POV

It was the very next day, and the kids had basically taken over the bed.

I finally blinked awake, stretching, only to realize I had no space left — Kiara sprawled across Keifer's chest, Kade's leg draped over mine, and Kevin tucked neatly at the edge like he owned it.

"KIDS, WAKE UP!" I said, my voice half stern, half amused.

Kiara groaned, clutching her puppy doll tighter. "Five more minutes, Mama..."

Kade buried his face in the blanket, mumbling dramatically, "I can't wake up. I'm too sleepy. My body won't move."

Kevin opened one eye, calm as ever. "We're already awake. We just don't want to get up."

I sighed, shaking my head. "You three are unbelievable. This isn't a hotel bed."

Keifer chuckled beside me, his voice still heavy with sleep. "Correction... It's a hurricane shelter. Remember?"

The triplets giggled, wriggling closer to Keifer, and Keifer wrapped his arms around them, pulling them even tighter against him.

Kiara nestled against his chest, her smile soft and content. "Papa, you're the comfiest pillow."

Kade sprawled across his lap, grinning. "Papa, you're stuck with us forever."

Kevin tucked himself neatly at Keifer's side, his voice calm but certain. "We're not moving. This is safer."

Keifer chuckled, shaking his head as he looked at me over their heads. "Jay, I think I've been kidnapped."

"GET UP, ALL OF YOU!" I said, throwing the blanket off dramatically.

The triplets squealed, wriggling closer to Keifer instead of moving.

Kade buried his face against Keifer's arm. "Nooo, Mama, five more minutes!"

Kiara giggled, clutching tighter onto Keifer. "Papa, protect us!"

Kevin sighed, his serious little voice calm but stubborn. "We're awake. We just don't want to get up."

Keifer smirked, tightening his arms around them like a shield. "See, Jay? They're united against you. I think I've been recruited into their army."

I crossed my arms, narrowing my eyes. "Army or not, school doesn't wait for sleepy rebels."

Kade peeked up, grinning. "Then we'll skip school and stay in bed forever!"

Kiara gasped dramatically. "Yes! Bed club!"

Kevin shook his head, muttering. "Bed club isn't practical. We'll get hungry."

Keifer chuckled, kissing the top of Kiara's head. "Looks like they've already formed a new club, Jay. And I'm the leader."

I groaned, though laughter bubbled up anyway. "First midnight snack club, now bed club? You're teaching them rebellion."

The triplets squealed in victory, hugging Keifer tighter, while I stood there shaking my head — hopelessly outnumbered, but secretly loving every second of it.

"If you guys don't wake up then you won't get breakfast," I said firmly, tugging at the blanket.

"Jay, that's not fair," Keifer protested, his arms still wrapped around the triplets like a shield.

Kade popped his head up, grinning. "Yeah, Mama, that's cruel!"

Kiara wriggled closer to Keifer, giggling. "Papa, save us from Mama's rules!"

Kevin sighed, his serious little voice calm but logical. "Mama, breakfast is important. You can't skip it."

I crossed my arms, narrowing my eyes. "Then prove it. Get up."

Keifer smirked, kissing the top of Kiara's head. "Come on, Princess. If you guys don't get up, your mom really won't feed you, and you'll go to school like hungry zombies. And I'll go as a hungry CEO zombie."

The triplets burst into giggles.

Kade sat up dramatically, arms stretched out. "Brains... pancakes... brains!" he groaned in his best zombie voice.

Kiara squealed, hiding her face against Keifer. "Papa, you're the funniest zombie ever!"

Kevin shook his head, adjusting his pajama sleeves. "Papa, CEOs don't eat brains. They eat meetings."

Keifer laughed, ruffling Kevin's hair. "Exactly. And without breakfast, I'll be the scariest CEO zombie in the office."

I rolled my eyes, though a smile tugged at my lips. "You're all ridiculous. Now get up before I really cancel breakfast."

That was enough for the kids to finally drag themselves into the bathroom and get ready. I went downstairs, already dressed for the office, the smell of coffee filling the kitchen.

A few minutes later, Keifer came down, his tie slightly crooked, still looking half‑asleep.

He spotted me at the table and smirked. "Morning, Queen."

"Wow, now you remember your queen. What happened to your princess?" I teased.

He smirked. "Well, she's my princess... but you're my queen, my wife, my life."

I raised an eyebrow, laughing. "Wow. Wife, life. Should write poems, huh?"

Keifer chuckled, leaning back in his chair. "Exactly. Maybe I'll publish a book. 'Poems of a Hungry CEO Zombie.'"

I snorted, shaking my head. "If you write poems, then I'll have to leave the house."

The triplets, freshly dressed, came running in just in time to hear that.

Kade gasped dramatically. "Papa's writing poems?!" Kiara giggled, climbing onto her chair. "Papa, read us one!" Kevin sighed, adjusting his collar. "This is going to be embarrassing."

Keifer winked at me, then cleared his throat theatrically. "Roses are red, pancakes are round, Without my queen, I won't be found."

The kids burst into laughter, clapping like it was the best performance ever.

I groaned, covering my face. "See? This is why I said I'd leave the house."

Keifer leaned closer, whispering with a grin. "Too late. You're stuck with me, Queen."

The rest of breakfast went by in the same chaos, and once they were done eating — and my brain was half fried — we finally piled into the car and got settled.

I sat in the passenger seat

Kiara piped up first, her voice singing‑song. "Be good at school and don't argue with the teacher."

Kade slumped against the window, muttering, "Don't get into fights and don't punch anyone because they got on our nerves."

Kevin adjusted his backpack straps neatly. "Get good grades. Don't use our surnames to threaten anyone."

I blinked, staring at them. "Wait... did you guys just recite my whole speech back to me?"

Kiara giggled. "Yes, Mama. We know it by heart."

Kade groaned dramatically. "You say it every single day. It's like homework."

Kevin nodded seriously. "It's memorized. We could write it down and turn it in."

Keifer, who was driving, chuckled. "See, Jay? You've trained them well. They don't even need reminders anymore."

I narrowed my eyes. "Oh, really? Then why do I still get calls from the teacher about Kade's 'arguments'?"

Kade gasped, pointing at Kevin. "That was him!"

Kevin sighed, shaking his head. "No, it wasn't. And besides, Mama, we're improving."

Kiara leaned forward, whispering dramatically. "Papa, tell Mama we're angels."

Keifer smirked, glancing at me. "Angels? More like little devils in disguise."

The triplets squealed in protest, giggling as the car pulled up to the school.

And just like that, my morning lecture turned into another round of laughter, excuses, and playful chaos.

We reached school and I kissed each of their foreheads. "Be good," I said one last time, my voice firm but gentle.

Keifer leaned down, kissing their foreheads too. "Don't get into trouble... unless it's needed," he added with a smirk.

The triplets all nodded in unison, their little faces glowing with mischief.

"Bye, Ma. Bye, Papa," they said in unison, their little voices echoing with excitement as they waved from the school gates.

We looked at each other, the quiet moment settling between us.

"Ready to work?" Keifer asked, his voice steady, eyes soft.

"I'd rather take care of these tornados," I said with a smile, thinking of the triplets.

We went to the car and drove to my office. The city buzzed around us, but inside the car it felt calm — just us, side by side.

He pulled up in front of my company, the building standing tall, a reminder of everything I had built.

Yeah, after being a lawyer, I built my own empire.

Every brick, every floor, every name on the door carried my fight, my sweat, my victories.

Keifer leaned closer as I unbuckled my seatbelt.

I kissed his lips softly, lingering just long enough to make him smile.

"Come home early. No arguments," I said firmly, narrowing my eyes playfully.

He chuckled, brushing his thumb across my cheek. "Yes, Queen. No arguments. I'll be home before the tornadoes spin out of control."

I laughed, stepping out of the car, heels clicking against the pavement.

He watched me walk toward the glass doors, pride written all over his face.

And for a moment, I felt it — the perfect balance of chaos and love, empire and home.
