Plans and Hawaii

JAY-JAY POV

The shower turned into another battlefield. Keifer insisted on "helping" rinse the saltwater from my hair, but his hands lingered far too long, and every time I tried to push him away, he retaliated with a splash of warm water straight to my face.

"Keifer!" I sputtered, wiping my eyes.

He grinned, utterly unrepentant. "What? I'm thorough."

By the time we stumbled out, dripping and laughing, the suite smelled faintly of the ocean and citrus soap. I collapsed onto the bed again, hair damp, while Keifer rummaged through the pack he'd carried all day.

"What now?" I asked, narrowing my eyes, suspicious of that smug grin spreading across Keifer's face.

"We have to decide where we're going for our next three weeks of honeymoon," he said, leaning back like it was the most casual thing in the world.

"Right, I forgot about that," I admitted, blinking at him.

"So where to go?" he asked, his grin widening. "Remember, I told you — you can choose where we're going."

I tilted my head, pretending to think, though really I was just enjoying the way his eyes stayed locked on me, waiting. "Hmm... So basically, I get to decide whether you suffer through spa days or jungle hikes?"

He groaned, already sensing trouble. "Jay..."

"Fine, since I'm such a kind wife," I said, crossing my arms with exaggerated dignity. "I will choose places that might not make you suffer."

Keifer raised a brow, leaning back against the pillows like he was bracing for impact. "Might not? That doesn't sound reassuring."

I smirked. "Oh, come on. I could've picked a yoga retreat where you'd have to meditate for hours. Or a spa resort where the only activity is facials and mud baths."

He groaned. "Jay..."

I tapped my chin, pretending to think. "But instead, I'll be generous. How about... we go to Hawaii, Paris, and Japan — only Japan because they have good food."

Keifer leaned back, his grin widening. "Fine. Your wish is my wish. We start this evening."

I blinked at him. "This evening? You're serious?"

He smirked, leaning closer until his lips brushed my cheek. "Dead serious. And since we'll be in the city soon, I've decided something."

I narrowed my eyes. "What now?"

He chuckled, his voice low and teasing. "I'm going to kiss you every single minute we're there."

My jaw dropped. "Every minute? That's insane!"

"Romantic," he corrected smoothly, pressing another kiss to my forehead. "Imagine it — Paris streets, Tokyo lights, Hawaiian beaches... and me keeping my promise."

I groaned, burying my face in the pillow. "You're impossible. People are going to stare."

He laughed, tugging me closer. "Let them. They'll just know I'm madly in love with my wife."

I peeked up at him, my lips twitching despite myself. "You're ridiculous."

He grinned, brushing his nose against mine. "And you're mine. Which means you'd better get used to being kissed every sixty seconds."

I sighed dramatically, but my heart was already racing at the thought. "Fine. But if you miss even one minute, I win."

His crooked smile widened. "Deal. But I won't lose."

I rolled my eyes. "We will see."

Keifer's grin widened, the kind that meant trouble. "Oh, you'll see. Hawaii sunsets, Paris streets, Tokyo nights... and me kissing you every single minute."

I groaned, flopping back against the pillows. "You're going to drive me insane."

He leaned down, brushing his lips against mine just long enough to prove his point. "That's the plan."

I shoved at his chest, laughing despite myself. "You're ridiculous."

"And you're mine," he said simply, his voice low and certain.

JAY-JAY POV

The moment we landed in Hawaii, Keifer was already on a mission. He tugged me through the resort lobby, past the swaying palms and the sound of ukuleles, his grin far too smug.

"Remember my promise," he said, leaning down to brush a kiss against my cheek.

I rolled my eyes. "You're not seriously going to—"

Another kiss. This time on my forehead.

"Keifer!" I squealed, swatting at him. "We just got here!"

He chuckled, pulling me closer. "Exactly. Which means the countdown starts now. One kiss every minute."

I groaned, burying my face in my hands. "You're going to embarrass me in front of everyone."

"Correction," he said smoothly, pressing another kiss to my nose. "I'm going to show everyone how much I love my wife."

The airport was bustling, but Keifer didn't care. He kissed me again while waiting for the luggage, again while calling for a cab, and again as we sped down the highway lined with palm trees. By the time we pulled up to the hotel, I'd lost count.

The resort was breathtaking — tall glass windows reflecting the ocean, lanterns glowing along the paths, the faint sound of waves crashing in the distance. Keifer tugged me through the lobby like he owned the place, his arm tight around my waist.

"Welcome to our Hawaiian castle," he announced dramatically, brushing another kiss against my temple.

I sighed, cheeks burning. "It's a hotel, Keifer."

"Correction," he said smoothly, pulling me closer. "It's our hotel."

The suite was even more stunning — wide balcony overlooking Waikiki Beach, soft white sheets, and the scent of saltwater drifting through the open doors. I dropped my bag immediately and collapsed onto the bed.

"Finally," I muttered. "Peace."

Keifer chuckled, sitting beside me. "Peace? No, Jay. This is where the real challenge begins."

I peeked up at him, suspicious. "Challenge?"

He grinned, leaning down to kiss my nose. "One kiss every minute. Starting now."

I squealed, shoving at him. "Keifer! We're inside the hotel!"

He laughed, utterly unbothered. "Exactly. Which means I have no excuse to miss a single one."

And as the waves crashed outside our balcony, I realized that even here — in the quiet luxury of the hotel — Keifer's promise turned everything into romantic chaos.

Before I could protest, he leaned down and kissed me — quick, soft, and then another, and another. I squealed, shoving at his chest. "Keifer! You're supposed to wait at least five minutes before starting your ridiculous challenge."

He grinned, brushing his nose against mine. "One kiss every minute. I told you, I don't lose."

I groaned, but my heart betrayed me with a flutter. "You're impossible."

"And you're mine," he said simply, pulling me closer until I was tangled against him again.

We spent the evening wrapped in that rhythm — kisses between unpacking, kisses while ordering room service, kisses when I tried to brush my hair. By the time dinner arrived, I was flushed and laughing, half‑embarrassed, half‑enchanted.

Later, we carried our plates out to the balcony. The sky was painted in streaks of purple and gold, the ocean stretching endlessly beneath the stars. Keifer slid his arm around my waist, pulling me against him.

"See?" he whispered, pressing another kiss to my temple. "Romantic chaos. Perfect combination."

I sighed dramatically, but my lips curved anyway. "Fine. But if you miss even one minute, I win."

His crooked smile widened. "Jay, I don't lose."

And as the waves crashed below and the stars blinked awake, I realized that even in the quiet luxury of the hotel, Keifer's promise turned everything into something unforgettable — messy, mischievous, and endlessly sweet.
