Epilogue
09:53, 15 July 2019Well, this took a while. Sorry my dears, I've just been dealing with shit again. I was very tempted to just cancel the epilogue, but whatever. I thought I should try anyways. Hope you enjoy!

Andrew never thought that he would have a family. He never thought that he would have people he cared about waiting for him when he returns each day. Or that he would have anyone to wait for.
He had always thought that he was too fucked up to have a family. But somewhere along the line, his definition of family had changed. When he was little, a family had to have a mom, and a dad, and little kids, always saying things like 'come play with us dad!' Or 'what's for dinner mom?' All that sappy television bullshit.
But at some point, family had become, not blood relatives, but people you have gone through hell with. People who would willing stand by you through all of life's twists and turns. People you could trust, and be honest with, and be able to be your true self with.
Even when he found this new definition though, he still had trouble finding family. Those he trusted, turned their back on him, Cass Spear. Blood relatives betrayed him, Luther Hemmick. Some who called themselves his family had violated him in ways he had never recovered from, and never fully would. Drake.
And then, this total wreck of a boy had come stumbling into his life. And somehow...
Neil had fixed everything.
Neil had given him a reason to tune back into the world around him. To fight with the drugs that had muted the colors, and turned the world dead. He had never really cared about life. For himself or others. But something about Neil had made him think twice. And Andrew never thought twice about something. His whole philosophy had been not trusting anyone with anything. Never giving an inch. And somehow, someway, he had ended up giving this junkie everything.
That doesn't mean he has completely changed. There have always been parts of his personality that hadn't been forced on him. His attitude was still there. He was still a sugar addict. And fuck. if anyone so much as touched his newfound family, they had better get writing.
Their Will, that is.
This was his new philosophy. He would continue to fight for those he cared for, protect them to the very extent of his ability. But on the rare, rare occasion, he would let them protect him.
He was still reckless, stubborn, and pissed people off more than was strictly necessary. But he had managed to understand that he wasn't indestructible either. Neil still thinks he had found self worth. Even a decade later. To be completely honest, Andrew still didn't give a flying fuck about his personal well being. No. The reason he had given in, was that he was often the only one to keep his family safe. he knew he was one of the only ones who could keep people from taking a mile, when his family gave an inch. And they would always give an inch.
As was one of the things he truly hated about his family.
400%
PENCILS DOWN EVERYONE. I'M DONE.
Thank you all for holding on with me there. After everything that's happened since I started writing this, I honestly never thought that I would finish it. I still feel selfish for putting my problems before this story that I dedicated myself to. It wasn't even that long, and it took me A FUCKING YEAR to finish it. Now that is some real bullshit there. But really, I poured my heart and should into writing this story well, with a well thought out plot, and a cute moment here and there. I didn't want to serve you utter shit on a silver platter. I read through every chapter after I finished it, and rewrote a million times. There were a few times there where I would forget to edit, and I made sure to do it the exact moment I remembered.
Alright, I'll stop rambling on now. I love you all. Bye now.
