"Giyu will be late" Mitsuri announced, which received a serenade of groins and whining

The "Hashiras" as they called themselves, were in a VIP room in a bar, all sitting at the couches with Mitsuri, who was about to sit as she stood up to answer Giyu's call

"We don't have to wait for him anyway." Sanemi added, and the others agreed

"I propose we start the party already, considering the time we have already wasted" Muichiro calmly stated

The group was surprised he said something, and a statement so long too, but it was a pleasant surprise

"I agree, it's already 9. We agreed to meet 8, and knowing Giyu, he'll arrive by 10 probably. " Everybody nodded at Obanai's statement

"I think we should wait for Giyu! The party won't be the same without him!" Rengoku exclaimed with enthusiasm, as he usually is

"An hour without Giyu won't hurt, Rengoku" Tengen said, and everyone else agreed, so Rengoku reluctantly agreed too

"I can't stand Giyu making us wait. It's like he thinks he's the main character and above us!" Said by a clearly irritated Shinobu

She was quiet up to this point, but it seemed her anger was just brewing up while she wasn't talking

"Here we go again" Mitsuri whispered to herself, accompanied with a sigh

"We said 8, and he's probably just leaving his house by now!" She said as she stood up with irritation

"Chill, Shinobu. We know you just want to see your pookie bear" Shinobu turned with disgust at Sanemi, who was laughing

"You'll see your honeypie soon enough. No need to whine about it" Obanai said, high-fiving Sanemi

The two stopped laughing, however, as they felt a murderous intent flow out of Shinobu's body

"You two better shut it before I shove these glasses down your throat" Shinobu said with a fake smile and with a vein subtly popping out of her head

"Shinobu, he didn't tell us to wait for him. We decided to wait for him, and I didn't hear you complain earlier" Mitsuri reasoned

"Maybe you're just finding a reason to get mad at Giyu 'cause he's your ex" Rengoku said innocently and laughed obnoxiously as he always did, which made Shinobu sigh

"I'm just saying he could respect our time more" Shinobu said in a more calm manner before sitting back down

"So..." Mitsuri started "We 'gon drink or what?" The room erupted in cheers as the drinks in buckets of ice arrived in the room

For the next several minutes, the room was filled with sounds of bottles opening and drinking

Muichiro was the only one not drinking alcoholic drinks as he was still in high school and not of age, but he was given apple juice by Mitsuri, which he appreciated

Tengen and Uzui filled the room with loud banter, which was accompanied by Rengoku's laugh as he listened to them

Obanai and Mitsuri were sitting on the same couch, being flirtatious and stuff to which Shinobu could only roll her eyes at

Shinobu was just silent with Muichiro, being amused by what's happening around her and lightly drinking

She checked her phone, and afterwards, however, her mood changed

She chugged her beer, then furiously opened another. "Of course he was with her"

"Huh?"

"Oh-Nothing, Muichiro" Shinobu said with a smile, which convinced Muichiro, who continued drinking his apple juice

It was 9:45 when Giyu opened the door to the VIP room the Hashiras stayed in. The room reeked of liquor

It was also very loud as their room had a karaoke. Currently, Obanai and Mitsuri were having a duet, and due to the liqour, Giyu assumed, their voices weren't the most pleasant on the ears

Giyu scanned the room after closing the door. Muichiro was just sitting silently, as usual. Sanemi was already wasted. Uzui was laughing, Giyu was unsure if it was because of the singers or the sight of Sanemi absolutely hammered

Rengoku was happily clapping for the duo. Unsurprising since Rengoku gave Mitsuri singing lessons. Mitsuri wasn't showing it currently, but she can sing well largely due to him

And lastly, Shinobu also seemed very drunk already. Her slight wobbling and flushed cheeks made that evident. Unlike Sanemi, however, she was sitting upright, and her eyes were lasering Giyu

He sighed, Giyu never knew how to remove Shinobu's hatred for him. The break up was messy, yes, but it had been two years already, to be fair

Shinobu stood up and wobbled towards Giyu. She scoffed and lightly pushed his shoulder

"I thought you wouldn't show up already. You're so late!" Shinobu exclaimed, but only Giyu could hear her because of the karaoke

"I didn't tell you guys to wait." Giyu blankly said before grabbing Shinobu's arm and lightly dragging her to a couch, even with her resisting

"Don't touch me." Shinobu rolled her eyes. "Why are you still here? Leave me alone, will you?" Giyu sighed

"There's no other seats, the vacant ones are for Obanai and Mitsuri"

"Then stand, what do I care"

"Shinobu, please, would it hurt to just get off my ass for once?" Shinobu rolled her eyes and crossed her arms

Giyu stood up since Obanai and Mitsuri have finished their duet

Mitsuri gave a shocked face when she saw Giyu before they hugged for a second

"Happy birthday" Giyu said before catching Obanai, who almost fell

"Thank you, even though you promised you'd be early" Giyu chuckled before they went to a couch to lay Obanai down and so Mitsuri could sit too

"I know, but something came up. You guys didn't need to wait for me" Giyu said, tossing Obanai onto a couch

"I guess we ate dinner without you. We just waited for you to drink" Mitsuri slurred before also laying down, but on Obanai

Giyu shook his head and went back to his seat, which Shinobu didn't appreciate

"I said leave me alone!" Shinobu exclaimed, which made Giyu sigh once again

"If I could, I would"

"Oh really?"

"Really"

Shinobu rolled her eyes before standing back up straight

"Why aren't you drinking?" Shinobu asked as she grabbed a bottle of beer to give to him

"I'll drive home, and I assume I'll drive at least one of you guys home too" Giyu explained before grabbing the bottle and putting it back at the table

"One beer won't hurt" Giyu raised his eyebrows "Yes it could. Also I'm not sure why you're saying all this" Giyu said, looking at Shinobu intently

"Complains when I'm mean, complains when I'm not. Weirdo" Shinobu rolled her eyes again

"You just seemed weirdly caring"

"I was not!"

Giyu subconsciously smiled in amusement after looking away
