Wonwoo

The first ray of sunlight hit my face, making me stir. Then i slowly opened my eyes, to see my little princess, still sleeping soundly. I smiled and leaned down to kiss her forehead. Then i remembered that I got married yesterday. I wanted to talk to her regarding this arrangement, I don't want her to get her hopes high. But she wasn't in bed, maybe downstairs? I got up, replacing myself with a pillow, beside Eva. Making sure she won't roll over. I strides downstairs.

That's when I heard her talking to one of the maids. In the kitchen, when I walked ahead, I saw she was helping them with breakfast. I cleared my throat getting their attention. "We need to talk." I said with an authoritative tone leaving no place for further arguments, I gestured to her to follow me, to my study.

Upon entering I turned around to face her, leaning my hips on my desk behind me, crossing my arms over my chest. "So you do realise that this marriage is just for Eva, to have a mother?" She just nodded.

"Don't you expect anything from me, just give my Eva, a motherly warmth, she never had, but let me make myself clear" I paused, my expressions turning more cold and sharp. "Keep that in your mind i agreed to this arrangement was just because of my princess's sake. And if I see you ever hurting her, I'll make sure your life would be a living hell." I warned, his cold and sharpe gaze burning holes to her.

"Who would even hurt that little angel?" Haneul scoffed, muttering under her breath. "Only a heartless and idiotic person would think of hurting that innocent soul, you don't have to tell me about that, Mr. Jeon!" She added more firmly.

"And don't worry I'm not getting my hopes up for you never. I'm more than happy in being just Eva's Mumma, but nevertheless i wouldn't let go of my responsibilities as a wife as well." She said, with a shrug and stormed out of my study, making me look in disbelief at the door she went out through.

I scoffed at her attitude, why that attitude is only directed towards me? But who cares it's better if she is away from me. I sighed, shaking my head. As I walked out to witness, Eva clinging to Haneul, while Haneul was talking to her about something, making Eva giggle.

"Good morning, little princess. Did you slept well?" I interrupted, approaching them. Eva looked at me, and smiled. "Good morning Dadda, and I did." She answered in her baby voice. I leaned down kissing her cheek. "Dadda, you are going to office?"

"Yes princess, why did you need something?" She shook her head, and pouted, proceeding to mumble, "I just thought I could spend time with Mumma and Dadda together." "It's okay, little angel, when Dadda will come back we will show him, how we are gonna have fun, and then we will make him jealous." Haneul tried to make her smile, which resulted, in Eva laughing.

"Dadda, Mumma and I will have a lot of fun!" Eva exclaimed, hugging her Mumma's neck. Her small arms wrapped around her Mumma's neck. "Okay, Dadda will get late for office go brush your teeth and come down for the breakfast." I intervened, glancing in between both of them, lifting her off the kitchen counter, and placing her down on her feet. Giving a last glanced at Haneul, I made my way back into my room as well, following behind Eva.

I got ready in my office attire, then made my way downstairs, to see Eva already happily getting fed by Haneul. I sat on my regular seat. Then the maid, served me. I started to eat when my attention was taken by Haneul. "I'm going to take Eva out today." She glanced at me. I nodded taking the bite of my food.

"I'll inform the driver." I said, with my usual cold voice. "No, I'll drive myself." I looked at her, clenching my jaw. "Take the driver." I said, firmly looking at her. She rolled her, scoffing. "I said I'll drive myself. If you are stubborn, then I'm more stubborn." I took a deep breath to calm myself down, i didn't want to lose my calm in front of my daughter. "Fine do whatever." I said, through my gritted teeth.

Finishing my breakfast, I bid Eva goodbye as usual, then stormed out of the house. "What does she thinks of herself? Hah?" I scoffed, running a hand through my hair frustratedly. I drove to my company. Getting in my office, as everyone greeted me good morning.

I sat on my chair. However I couldn't shake off the thoughts of Haneul. I thought she was just like other girls throwing herself on me, but she is behaving whole opposite. 'Did I judged her wrong?' I sighed, until I was snapped out of my thoughts, with a knock on my cabin's door. And Seungcheol hyung's head peaked out from the door. "Wonu-ya! We thought you will be busy flirting with your wife, how come you are here?" Hyung asked, teasing me. Earning a sharp glare from me.

Well he is Choi Seungcheol, one of my friends and vice president of our company. "Hyung, you know why i married her." I said opening my laptop.

"But you look like, you are already conflicted about the whole situation. What happened?" Hyung asked, making me sighed frustratedly. "I thought, that she will be like Aerin as well. But..." I paused trying to find the words, to explain the situation.

"But she is so hard to understand. As of what I see till now, is Eva likes her so much already. That means she definitely adores Eva, but she is giving me attitude. When I told her about my condition about our marriage, that she was here only as Eva's mother. She just shrugged, and left. Then she told me that she was going to take Eva out today, i thought she would ask for money but she didn't, she just simply informed me." I added, frustrated.

He snorted, but quickly stiffled his laugh, when I shot him a sharp glare. "So what is your problem, that you can't solve her? Or your fear that she is not what you thought she would be?" Hyung asked, making me more conflicted. "I don't fear anything." I said avoiding his gaze, although deep down I myself knew that I fear attachments again, I feared that my heart will be broken again, that I'll be a fool again. So I wanted to believe what my brain told me, not what my heart told me.

"Wonu-ya, I know you since so long, and i could tell what you feel, but it's okay be that way until you really figure her out, but I'll only say, don't realise things so late." Hyung softly said, making me nod. Then we talked about the work for which he came here, about some brand wanting to collaborate with our company. ...My armycarat heart is so happy seeing my pookies doing the 'Sweet dream' tiktok challenge together!!!
