Chapter 17

Damon's POV

I got off the boat and looked at lexi with her backpack on. "Are you sure you want to miss school?"

She gave me a look. "What? Are you afraid?" She smirked starting walking.

I watched her walk away but I soon caught up to her. "Not afraid, but if you are my arms are right here." I smirked.

She looked at me rolling her eyes as she stops pulling out a map. I rolled my eyes this time. "If we want to find the cave we are going to have to camp for the night. Going around these mountains are not fun." She sighs taking off her backpack and sat on a log she looked at me. "Why didn't Elena and Stefan not want to come again?" She asked. 

I sighed.

Flashback -3 hours ago in Lexi's House-

"You can not go to this random island with just you two." Elena said.

I raised an eyebrow. "Not like we'll do anything. We have to find one thing and that's the cure."

"It's dangerous." Stefan said.

I rolled my eyes. "Then why wont you two come?" I said.

"Because we have to keep an eye out for Kol and Jeremy. Bonnie is with Kol--"Stefan began to say.

"What!" Lexi said with anger in her voice.

"Calm down, Bonnie is just going to make your wish come true. Kol being human, isn't that what you wanted?" I asked.

She glared at me with her arms against her chest then she sighed. Her arms flung to her side. "Okay, but if my father and Bonnie what so ever can not have any contact with each other. I will kill Damon on the island." She smirked.

"Hey! I'm not a use toy to deal over to." I said looking at her.

"Yes you are." She smirked then looked at Stefan and Elena. "Damon and I will go to the island grab the cure and go. "

"Okay, but it could be dangerous--"Elena began to say.

"Elena please, I'm an original hybrid. Everything else should be scared of me." Lexi said.

"Alright, Me and Elena will stay here and make sure nothing happens." Stefan said agreeing.

"Wait, why do I have to go to the island again?" I asked.

"Because I don't want you in mystic falls Damon." Stefan smiled at me. I rolled my eyes.

End of Flashback

"Because Stefan is a dick." I said throwing the bag on the ground.

 She let out a laugh, "Are you sure he's the dick? I actually prefer him over you." She admits smirking at me as I glare at her.

"Says the one that screamed my name in the middle of the night a couple of days ago." I smirked at her. She got up blurring to me grabbing me as she pinned me to a nearby tree.

"My humanity was off, it was nothing." I said.

"Are you sure?" As she let me go I smirked with a smile. "The lust in the air, the blood on your lips, the --"

She turned around looking at me putting her hands on her hips. "Sound like it meant something to you."

I walked towards her. "Because it did mean something to me."

She looked at me shocked and confused for two seconds then walked away. "It didn't mean anything Damon. End of conversation. We need to stay focus on the cure right now." She says as she grabs her bag.

"So you're telling me that my handesome good looks didn't affect you at all. Even including the bed scene where we lay there naked together?" I asked smirking.

She stops and looks at me." What do you want me to say Damon? I had no humanity on. I didn't feel."

I walked closer to her. "Now looking back what do you feel?"

She went into thought for a couple of seconds then spoke. "Nothing, Damon. I felt nothing for you. You were just my toy when I had no humanity on." She said grabbing her backpack throwing it over her shoulder. "We should find a better spot to camp." She begins walking along the beach.

I watched her walk away then heard my phone beep on. I pulled it out of my pocket and answered it.

"Hello." I answered.

"Damon, where the hell is Lexi?" Kol said angerily. I smirked.

"Well, she's here with me. Far and Safe away from you." I smirked watching Lexi wonder around the beach looking around for the structure.

"Safe? She's better off safe with me than you. Now where is Lexi before that pretty Elena and your brother get hurt."

I growled. "On an beautiful island, doing things you wouldn't imagine." I smirked as Lexi snapped her head towards me growling at me.I winked at her.

"The cure..." He growled. "If you dare raise Silas while my daughter is on that island damon--"

"Yeah, you'll kill me." I rolled my eyes

"No." I heard Kol growl for a second. "Damon, you have five hours to get back in mystic falls with lexi unharmed or else I will burn down the house where Elena, Stefan and Jeremy are currently. I will have the place surrounded with vampires until you give me what I want the cure and Lexi." He says threatening.

I clentched my teeth together as he hung up the phone. I put the phone away. Lexi walked over to me. "What's wrong now?"

"We have five hours to find that cure before Kol is going to burned down the house where Stefan, Elena, and Jeremy. Which is surrounded by vampires." I faked a smile. Lexi smile fell to a frown.

"Five hours to find the cure on this huge island?" She repeats.

I nod putting my hand on her shoulder as I walk by. "Yep, let's get to work." I said.

Jeremy's POV

"What is going on Elena?" I asked her as Stefan looked out the windows and Elena pushing me into the kitchen.

"Everythings going to be fine Jer--" She began to say

"Stop lying, something is wrong? Is it Lexi? Who's out there?" I pushed her and walked over to the door but Stefan blurred over to me putting his hand on my chest.

"lexi is fine. Vampires are surrounding the house and Lexi--"Stefan began to say when the doorbell rang.

Elena looked at us both then Stefan went and opened the door revealing Kol smirking at us and vampires surrounding the house.

"Stefan, Elena...and Jeremy Gilbert." Kol smirked.

"What can I do for you Kol?" Stefan asked.

"It's not what you can do for me but what you're brother can." Kol said.

"Damon is--"

"Damon has five hours to get the cure and Lexi safe here in mystic falls before I burn this house down with you all in it." Kol threatened looking at us all.

"Lexi?" I questioned then walked to the kitchen grabbing my phone dialing Damon's number. 

"What?" Damon answered.

"Give the phone to Lexi." I said almost as a threat.

"Here, you're boyfriend." Damon says as I hear a different voice come on.

"Jeremy? What's wrong?" Lexi asked.

"Where are you with Damon?"I asked.

"...I'm searching the cure with Damon." Lexi said.

"How can you search the cure without the map--"

"Silas..." She whispered. "I knew Silas when I was human. I fell in the cave on an island, so Damon and I are looking for that cave again."

"What? Silas?" I whispered.

"Give me the phone, Jeremy." Kol said angerily. "Let me talk to Lexi." Kol put his hand out waiting.

"Jer don't do it." Elena reassured.

I kept talking on the phone with Lexi. "Why do you want the cure Lexi?"

"Because I want to become human, I want the happily ever after I never had. I want to have a family with you." She whispered the last part.

"Give me the phone now." Kol threatened louder. I walked over and handed the phone to him. He snatched it and put it up to his ear."Lexi, dear. Get the cure and come back as a vampire."he growls. "You take that cure, you're precious gilbert boy will be dead by the time you come back." He threatened then threw the phone on the ground smashing it then he glared at us. "Four more hours. The time is ticking..." Kol said as he walked down the porch walking away.

We looked at each other."We have to get Bonnie." Elena said.

"Bonnie is stuck with her dad." I said. "I called her earlier but only got cut off by the mayor" I said.

"Stefan, get Bonnie. I'll cause a distration." Elena said.

Stefan nodded. "Are you two going to be okay?"

Elena nodded. "We will, don't worry." She pushed him out then Stefan speeded off with some vampires chasing after him. Elena blurs to the front turning on the sprinklers with vervain in the water. She blurred back to the house watching the vampires burn in the grass.

I grabbed Elena pulling her in the house and slamming the door shut.

Lexi's POV

 I walked upon the hill. "There is so many mountains on this island, I doubt we can find the cave. Everything changes in 1000 years." I said tired from walking.

"Try harder." Damon said walking infront of me. "We have four hours left."

"Well, I'm sorry Damon that i don't have the power to change the land back to a 1000 years ago." I rolled my eyes.

"That doesn't help." Damon said walking he stepped onto something I pushed him out of the way and a stake came flying hitting my chest.

"Ouch." I said in a wince of pain. I took the stake out of my chest. I looked around.

"Someone is after the cure too." Damon said looking around.

"And they tried to kill us." I mentioned. "You're welcome by the way." I said with a fake smile then kept walking.

"Hey, wait someone else knows about this cure and we should be care--" Damon began to say.

I turned around seeing a person holding Damon with a stake in his neck and smirks at me. "Looking for the cure too I see."

"Who are you?" I asked.

"Vaughn, who are you and what do you want with the cure?" He asked.

"Lexi Mikaelson, an original... and what do you want with the cure Vaughn." I asked.

"Well, I want to kill silas with the cure--"

"Well you can do that as I take the cure as well--"

"There's only one cure." He says. I froze.

"What?There can't be just one cure." I said.

"Yep and--" The ground rumbled. We turned around and saw a mountain shake.. the cave! That's where Silas is hidden with the cure. I turned back around seeing Damon on the ground and Vaughn running towards the cave. I took the stake out of his neck.

"Come on Damon, we have to get that cure."I said.

I held onto Damon's arm as we blurred to the cave as we got down there we saw Vaughn get eaten by Silas and Katherine running off. Soon we heard a snap of Vaughn's head and saw Silas rise.

"We have to go!" Damon said.

"not without the cure!" I yelled as the ground began to rumble.

"Katherine is long gone by now! Let's go!" He blurs me out of the cave and we are on the beach.

"We almost had the cure DAMON!" I yelled.

"Katherine has it now." Damon said.

"Yeah, i think we passed that page already damon." I said. "We shouldn't have stopped and watch Katherine take it out of Silas' hand! We missed our chances!" I said in anger and frustration.

"We can get it back. Let's go now." He pushes me back on the boat.

Jeremy's POV

"Times up. Invite me in." Kol said at the door.

"What should we do Elena?" I asked.

"Stefan said that Bonnie is almost here--"

"Invite me in!" Kol kicked down the door open.Elena walked over to him.

"We won't invite you in." Elena said.

"Would you rather burn alive?" Kol said then staked Elena with a stake pulling her outside on the porch. He held onto her neck as he looked at me.

"Urg!Ah!' Elena winced in pain.

"Invite me in Jeremy or say goodbye to your sister." Kol smirked. at me.

"Don't Jer. Don't invite him." Elena said but Kol pushed the stake further into her stomach. "AHh!" Elena screamed.

"Come in." I said. Kol smirked at me and pulled the stake out of elena's stomach. He pushed her inside as he took a step inside.

"Good, now let's have a little fun." Kol smirked.

"Jeremy run!" elena said as I ran up the stairs. We went into my room and locked the door.

"God you must think I'm pathetic." He kicked the door down and walked to us as I ran to Elena's bathroom and into her room to go down the stairs. I heard a scream and a thud. I ran over to the kitched grabbing a stake.

"Jeremy! RUN!" I heard Elena yell from upstairs.

I turned around and Kol grabbed me. "Going somewhere." He took my head and hit me against the counter. Everything went black.....

I woke up and realized I'm tied on the counter. I panic trying to break apart. "Now like I said. I don't fancy the hunters curse. I'm just here to chop off your arms." He holds onto the knife and my head. "But don't worry I'll heal you up right after." He lifts up the knife."I'm sorry about this thing... now which arm is it? Is it left or right? I'll just chop off both." He say.

Elena came when Kol began to chop off my arm. She blurred to him grabbing the knife and hitting his shoulder. I pulled off the rope and got off the table.

"AH!" Kol screamed and was pushed against the counter. I grabbed the sink hose and spraid him with the vervain water. Elena pulled as she grabbed his white oak he had in his jacket.

"Jeremy! Now!" She toss the stake to me. I caught it and walked over to him hitting him in the chest with the stake.

"AH! URG! AHH!" He screams in pain as the stake turns into flames. He gets off the counter screaming in pain then falls to the ground as he burns in flames. He rolls to get the fire off of him but he fails as he stops screaming in pain and the flames take over his whole body.

I looked up and see Klaus at the door. Elena turns. We walked over to him.

"What did you do?" He ask angerily.

"We didn't had a choice. He was about to kill us and cut off Jeremy's arm." Elena said.

"LIES!" He yells."He would never have gotten inside if you set a trap for him."He looks at the house. "I'm going to burn this house down and when you try to flee I'm going to rip your hearts out."

"Klaus!" Lexi walked up the porch glaring at him but her eyes comes to a stop when she looks past elena and I and directly to Kol's body burning on flames. "What did you do....?" She says with tears forming in her eyes and anger rising. 

"You're excellent hunter boyfriend and his sister took it upon themseleves to kill Kol with an oak white stick." Klaus said.

Lexi looks at me confused and angry. "You're lieing." She said to Klaus but kept her eyes on me.

"I'm not lieing." Klaus said angry as well.

"He was going to cut off my arms Lexi!" I said in defense.

"You wanted to put him down too!" Elena said.

"I was going to make him suffer ON MY TERMS!" Lexi yelled in anger and frustration as tears ran down her face.Klaus puts his arm around Lexi then glares at us with furior.

"I'm going to burn this house down and watch you die in it!-- AHH!" Klaus fell to his knees as well as Lexi.

"Lexi holds onto her head for a second as Stefan and Bonnie walk inbetween them and into the house.

"Invite them in Now" Bonnie said.

I nodded. "You both can come in." I said.

Klaus blurred inside as we ran to the dinning room. Lexi blurred inside with Klaus pulling him to a stop in the livingroom. Klaus pulled away from her grip and blurred to us only to be stopped by a force. He banged onto the invisible wall that surrounds the livingroom. Klaus keeps bangning on the wall until Bonnie walks up to him.

"Witch, you can't do this to us." Klaus said as Lexi glared at Bonnie then at Me and Elena.

"You have no idea what I can do now." Bonnie said.

"I WILL HUNT YOU ALL TO YOUR ENDS!" Klaus yelled as Bonnie,Stefan,  I, and Elena ran out the house. "DO YOU HEAR ME! DO YOU!"  Klaus yelled.

Before I ran I grabbed the white oak stake off of Kol's chest. Lexi looked at Kol's dead body then at me with sad angry brown eyes and tears down her face. She stared at Kol's dead body as I ran out the house slaming the door.

We ran off the lawn seeing dead bodies of the vampires suffering dieing slowly because they were vampires off of Kol's blood.

TO BE CONTINUED...Going to be a long while until I post another chapter of this story, have to get my crap together at school so I'm going to say a week or two until the next chapter.
