Chapter 14

Jeremy's POV

I walked into the grill and to the bar to see Matt. "Hey Matt."

"Jeremy, where the hell have you been?" Matt asked with harsh and worry in his tone.

I paused walking and looked at him. "Been training at the lake, why? Did something happen?"

"Yeah, you're ex-girlfriend is tearing up this town for the last couple days." Matt said.

"Lexi. What are you trying to say?" I asked.

"Let's see what we have, a vampire hunter that has amazing power and an original vampire that is a killing machine... What do you think Jer?" Matt looked at me from cleaning his cups.

I looked at him confused then realized what he meant. "You want me to kill Lexi?" He nodded. "I can't kill Lexi."

"Well you are the reason why she's tearing up this town." Damon walked over to us. "Her humanity is off because of you." He looks at me.

I sigh. "Doesn't mean it's my fault that she's tearing up the town."

"Well, it's your fault you hooked up with a physco original." He smirked at me.

"Like you didn't?" I said.

He looked at me. "Touche. Anyways, what we have to do is not think about Lexi--"

"Damon." I heard a voice and turned around to see Lexi walking up to us. She smirked at Damon then looked at me. "Hey Jeremy."

"Lexi..." I said."Yeah, try not to think about her." I muttered under my breath as I looked at the ground. I looked back up at Damon and Lexi but caught them kissing. I froze.

Lexi pulled away from the kiss with a smirk. "Well, I came to give you this. Apparently my father wants to meet up with you?" Lexi gave him a letter.

"I thought you didn't care about anything?"Damon took the letter and looked at her.

"I don't, I was bored so I decided to deliver this to you." She said sternly. "Well, I should be going. I'm starving..." She smirked and walked out.

I glared at Damon. "So you're hooking up with my physco ex girlfriend!"

He looked at me then at the letter opening it. "Well, she is physco in bed I must say." He smirked. "Why are you jealous Jeremy?" He took out the letter and read it. I clunched my fist together. "Dear Damon, I hope you be aware of your surroundings....What? What kind of letter is this?" Suddenly damon fell to the floor from being hit in the head."URG!!"

"I told you to be aware of your surroundings mate." Kol said then he looked up at me. "Hello Jeremy."

I smirked "Someone had to finally hit Damon."

"What the hell?!" Damon blurred up. Kol held his silver bat and walked over to Damon kicking him to the floor again.

"I'm still mad that you slept with Lexi..." Kol said.

"But I wasn't the one to make her humanity off." Damon said groaning in pain.

"That is right mate but I can't kill Jeremy, Hunters curse... doesn't fit me." He smirks looking at me. "But I could always cut off his arms." Kol smirked. "But first with you." Kol looked back at Damon, hitting him with his bat.

"Jer, we have to get you home now!" Matt said pulling me out of the grill.

Lexi stopped us by coming through the door and smirked at us. "Going somewhere?" She asked.

"Lexi, Kol is going to kill us! You have to stop him!" I said.

"So?" She said calmly. "This town doesn't need you or Matt or even Damon." She said.

I dragged her out of the grill as matt went to start the car. "Are you crazy! The Lexi I know would stop Kol! He's going to Kill Damon and then matt and then me!!"

"That's not my problem." She said pushing me away.

"It will be when your humanity is on!" I said. She looked at me. "Lexi, this isn't you. You care, your kind, you were so careful."

"I was until you broke me..." She said.

"I didn't break you, you broke yourself." I said.

"JEREMY!" Matt called.

"I guess I wasn't careful enough..." She said. I looked at Matt suddenly Lexi grabs me. "But I am now." We blurred away.

I looked at her as I was in this strange house... "Why are we here? Why did you even take me here?" I asked.

She looked at me. "Well, it's part of my plan." She said.

"What plan?" I looked at her.

"To kill Kol." She smirked.

"Why do you want to kill him?" I asked. "Wouldn't it be easier to dagger him?"

"Why dagger when I have something easier, a white oak." She pulled out the white oak stake.

I froze and look at the white oak stake. "You... You-- You're going to kill your own father?" I stuttered from the shock.

She nodded and shrug. "Why not? He's not even a father to me, never was for over thousands of years."

"Why am I here?" I asked.

"He wants to kill you...well partly kill you because he is too scared of some hunters curse." She rolled her eyes.

"So you're using me ..again?" I asked.

She rolled her eyes and walked over to me "I never used you Jeremy, I was actually in love with you. I didn't know about some stupid vampire cure, I didn't give a crap about that. Suprisingly I fell for you and that shirt.." She shrug. "But I'm over that." She walked over to the couch.

"And you're with Damon?" I asked watching her every move.

"He's pretty useful in bed." She turned and smirked at me seeing m expression. "Why are you jealous?" She said in a sing along tone.

"I'm not jealous." I said calmly but my hands balled up into a fist again.

"Really, your hands tells other wise." She smirked.

I looked away. "When is Kol coming?" I asked.

"Oh,right." She pulled out her phone and dialed a number then placed it on speaker.

"Hello? " I heard Kols voice.

"Father! Help me! Jeremy! He's... He's about to kill me with the white oak stake!! --" Lexi walked over to a piece of furniture and kicked it over causing a loud crash as she faked a scream. "AHH!"

"lexi!?" Kol called but lexi hung up. Lexi put the phone back in her pocket. 

"There, he should be here soon."She said.

"What the hell was that about?" I asked glaring at her.

"That. Was the amazing trick of fooling someone so I can kill them." Lexi said.

I looked at her. "You don't really want to kill him Lexi." I said.

She looked at me like I was stupid. "Yes I do."

"No you don't. You're just angry at him that he wasn't there for all those years you were alone. When you transformed, when you turned, when it was your birthday, when you felt alone. You're just angry that he wasn't there when you needed him." I confessed the truth.

She looked at me. "You don't know anything.." She says.

"Yeah I don't know anything because when I met you I only knew the kind, sweet, beautiful lexi but One thing I do know is that you are willing to give kol a second chance when you had your humanity on." I said.

"He doesn't care for me--"

"Really, then why did you pull that call? That worry in his tone, was it a lie?  I bet when he comes and throws down that door and kills me, he's going to hug you and ask if you're okay. " I said.

She looked at the white oak stake then at me with confussion in her eyes but with the angry still there.

*BAM!* The front door broke open and Kol walked in looking at me. I saw Lexi hid the white oak stake in her boot. Kol glared at me having his bat in his hand. "You're dead." He smirked as he walked over to me. 

Lexi blured infront of me. "Wait, don't kill him."

Kol looked at me "He hurt you Lexi-- You're not hurt..." He stopped walking and looked around and spot the broken furniture. "You lied about getting tortured?" He looked at Lexi

"I didn't think you would care if I was hurt--" Lexi began to say but Kol grabbed her.

"I'm your father of course I care. I don't want nobody to hurt you at all, I would never let anything bad happen to you." Kol said wiping a tear away from Lexi's cheek. Kol smiled at her as Lexi cries with a smile into Kol's shoulder. Kol hugs her back.

Lexi's humanity was back on. I slightly smiled but felt my hand still closed up in a fist... I was jealous.

Lexi's House

I walked her home, like I always do but it felt more awkward now. We arrived her house. "Here we are..." I smiled at her.

"Yeah.." She looked at me and smiled. She walked over to her porch grabbing her keys to unlock the door.

"Thank you." I said before she went inside her house. She turned back to me .

"For what?" She asked.

"For protecting me from Kol, not getting me killed." I said with a smile. 

She looked at me then smiled back. "..Do you want to come in for some coffee?" She asked.

I stopped and thought then smiled back at her. "Sure." I walked over to her and we both went inside.

Gilbert House

I jumped onto the couch and sighed. Exhausted from today.

"Tired?" Elena walked into the kitchen and started cutting up some stuff. I sat up.

"Yep, I saved someone today." I smiled.

"Kol?" She guessed.

"Well, also myself from that bat he carrys around." I said getting off the couch and walked to the counter in the kitchen."So what happened to Damon?"

"He's fine. Kol was about to kill him when Bonnie, Caroline, and I got in there in time to stop him. Thanks to Matt." She smiled.

"What are you cooking for dinner?" I asked.

"I'm cooking some chicken--" *DING DONG* The doorbell rang. "Can you get that?" Elena asked.

I nodded and walked over opening the door. As the door swing open I see Kol, I jump a little. "Elena..." I call.

Elena walks over and sees Kol. "Get behind me Jeremy." Kol smirks at us."What do you want Kol?"

"Well, I was wondering if you can invite me in." He asked with a smirk.

"Why would we invite you in?" Elena asked.

"Because I have to talk to Jeremy." Kol looked at me.

I glare at him. "We can talk here. What do you want?" I asked.

He sighs. "Alright, mate. " He glare at me then Elena. Elena sighs and walked back to the kitchen but I knew she was listening in. "I'm going to warn you, stay away from Lexi. She's hurt enough just seeing you since she has her humanity on. "

"What will you do kill me? You'll just get that hunters curse." I said.

"No but you can't be a hunter without any arms." Kol smirked at me.

Kol and I exchange glares. "What about Damon?" I asked.

"Oh, he's been handled already." Kol smirked. "The wolf bite from klaus wont take long before he's gone then again.. that was from klaus not me." Kol smirked.

I glared at Kol as Kol smirked at me....
