He was now left behind with Dire, and the magicless human.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3RD POV
Darius was looking at the magicless human and Crowley talked, as he made his way near them.
As Crowley stating that the human cannot be enrolled in the school with no magic, he then lead the human in front of the mirror.
He told the human to visualize his home, as Crowley began commanding the Dark Mirror.
"O Dark Mirror! Return this soul to where it belongs!"
As they did that, Darius was observing the human.
'Something's off...' He thought, now carefully taking a good look at the human.
He then heard the mirror saying that the place the human was visualizing didn't exist, now that was getting suspicious...
A magicless human, that was dragged here... Was it on accident... Or on purpose.
Darius heard the human talked, and state it's home.
And that place doesn't exist, and he existed over a thousand years and he had never came across a place named like that...
He then decided to cast a spell on the human, which was the same color he casted earlier. Persian Red. The ability to detect items and magic.
Ignoring Crowley rant, as he take a very good look on the human...
There's no magic.
And that doesn't make sense.
Even the magicless human in this world have a small speckle of magic, it's not enough for them to cast but enough to see... Oh.... That child had no exposure on magic.
'Shit.' Darius said in his mind, before quickly removing his spell and going to the human.
Crowley noticed this, and he never saw that expression from his teacher in a long time.
And before Crowley could question his teacher, the human suddenly drop.
Yu, a normal human doing what he do daily.
Wake up, eat, shower, go to school, get back home, eat and sleep. And his been doing that every single day.
But that change when he suddenly got kidnapped in his sleep, though it was different.
When he got in this magic school, he had this weird feeling in his guts.
He thought that it was because he got suddenly taken into a different world.
Though it was slow, that weird feeling in his guts got worse as he got exposed to Grim and his fire blast, Crowley's binding whip, and going back to a room filled with floating coffins am done giant mirror.
And the chase between Grim and two other students, made his stomach churn even worse.
Now that there's no one in the room except for the Headmage and his teacher, he thought that weird squirm on his stomach would relax.
But he felt even worse when the colorful hair male cast a powerful magic, he convinced himself that it was probably something he ate.
Then after the spell he thought he would be okay, and nope. It gotten even worse.
And after telling the Headmage his hometown. When his body finally relaxed a bit, his mind suddenly can't think, his eyes became blurry, his got short, and the last thing he saw was the panicked in the fae's eyes.
With that he lost unconscious.
Darius wanted to avoid using magic near the human, but he had no choice but to teleport to catch the human... In which he did that.
He hear Crowley walked toward them, but his attention was on the human.
The taller fae put his ear on the human's chest, luckily he didn't stop breathing and his heart was still beating.
But Darius didn't waste time and put his arms under the human, and looked at Crowley.
"Dire, lead me to your clinic. Now." He demanded, which Crowley nodded and lead the way.
The two ran the hallway, as Darius began casting Nullification around the human.
And when they arrived, he quickly put the human on one of the bed.
The diurnal fae turned to look at his student, "Call someone who can treat this human."
"Can't you do it, Sir? I mean you know how to heal right?" Crowley questioned.
"I need someone who can treat him with no magic needed, if I used my magic there's no doubt his situation will be worse." Darius replied, as he once again tell Crowley to find someone.
"Ok, but once I arrive tell me what's going on."
Darius just hummed in agreement, watching Crowley run out the room to call someone.
The diurnal fae then began casting Nullification around the human, it'll probably would cause a bit trouble. But he need to remove any magic near the child.
"I should have seen this coming.... Why didn't I detect it way faster...." He muttered, and waited for Crowley to come back.
Fortunately, it didn't take long for Crowley to bring someone.
It was another human, he was wearing a thick fur coat as his hair was divided by two colors, which is black and white.
This man looked annoyed, but change quickly when he saw a human child in a clinic bed.
"You better have an explanation on why there's a pup in the clinic, Dire!" The man yelled at Crowley, who slightly winced by his aggression toward him.
The human quickly get to work, as he started to check the younger boy.
That's when he realized the other fae in the room.
"Who might you be?" He questioned cautiously, raising a brow.
"Darius, and I'll be the one explaining the human's condition." The older fae stated, as he quickly explain the whole situation.
•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•
"So what you're saying is that this pup is allergic to magic?" Crewel repeated, filled with surprised and disbelief.
When Darius explained Yu's condition, he was treating the boy carefully and quickly as possible.
But hearing what the fae statements were, it was... Impossible.
"If you want to make it simple as possible, then yes. He's allergic." Darius nodded, as the Headmage finally spoke after staying quiet for a long period.
"How's that possible? There hasn't been any cases of allergies toward magic."
"Probably because this boy doesn't exist here..." The diurnal fae said, looking at the human.
The young boy was now stable, thanks to Crewel. But there's still a high risk of the boy getting sick once more.
"What do you mean?" The older human asked, as his brows furrowed.
"When he told Dire about his hometown, I noticed that the place he stated doesn't even exist in the first place."
"So you're saying is..."
"This boy belongs in some kind of world, were magic never even exist..." Darius finished off, making the two adults looked at him shock.
Then soon it twisted into a horrifying discovery....
"That means the black carriage somehow transported a human... That isn't supposed to be here...." Crowley muttered slowly, looking at Yu.
"What's gonna happen to him?" Crewel asked, directly looking at the diurnal fae.
"There are two possibilities," He started to raise one finger, "One is that there's a chance his body can adapt to the magic, slowly but surely...."
He then raised another finger, "And the second possibility is him dying from too much exposure...."
"And there's no cure to it..."
"Obviously."
Darius then turned to look at the human, seeing the kid like bedridden like that reminds him of something...
•••
'Oh... I remember the first human I taught.... He was like this before, just for a different reason....' He thought, as he began caressing gently on the human's face...
"Is there a way for Yu to survive? Before we find a way to get him back home?" Crowley questioned, looking at his teacher.
Seeing his teacher looking at Yu like that reminds him the time when his teacher was so lost in thought, and he was holding a letter that Crowley couldn't read...
Words he didn't understand...
But that's not the point right now, they're talking about how Yu could survive in this world.
"Yu?" Darius asked confused, as he stopped caressing the child.
"That's his name sir..." The Headmage replied.
"I see.... How ironic, his name was close to his..." He mumbled the last sentence, before answering Crowley.
"He'll be put under my care, who knows what would happen to him if he got exposed to a powerful magic...."
"But... Aren't you one of those who cast powerful magic?..." Crowley pointed out, as he received the “looks” from Darius.
Y'know those looks when you've said something that offended your parents, especially mothers? Yeah, those looks.
Crowley just shrunk and look away from Darius, as the other older human looked amused by their interaction.
"I know that, Dire.... But do you know someone who could nullify magic.... Including the surroundings?" Darius exclaimed, daring the Headmage to answer.... If he could think of someone...
"Does Roseheart counts?" The one who replied was none other than the reasonable person here, Crewel.
With his answer, this caught both Crowley and Darius.
"O-oh, yes! Yes. How about that, sir?"
"Is he the one who caught the beast earlier?" Darius asked, recalling the event earlier.
He then received an aggressive nod from Crowley, though it was rather surprising that he quickly figure out who it was...
"Well, all I could say is that it was impressive.... But not enough." He stated.
"Care to explain why?" The who asked was Crewel.
Crewel has been observing the fae since he saw him, not only he figured out what happened to Yu. But also knows the Headmage, personally.
And the way he talked about magic, it's like he knows the very core of it.... Like he can understand magic better than anyone...
"That boy can only nullify magic that a mage could cast, but not its very core..." He replied, continuing his explanation.
"Current, or even before, mages tends to use magic as tools... In which how they are used from the very start..."
He then gently cast a gentle Persian Red, and this way he could provide a visual explanation.
And what was surprising, is that the cast was around them. Like a small speck of dust, dancing through the air like it was swimming gracefully on a sea.
"Remember what magic I am casting, Dire?" Darius asked, looking at the man himself.
Crowley was quiet for a moment, trying to recall what is it...
"Ah! I remember, it's a spell that helps you locate an object, correct?" The black haired fae reply, making the two toned hair look at him in disbelief.
This man was the type of person who forgot something for a single minute, how did he remember something like that???
"Close, but does not it only..." Darius answered, "It helps me locate objects and magic."
"As you can see, I'm currently locating magic. Every speckle around us is magic, every breath we take, every food we eat, every beverage we drink, every single thing we do have magic..." The diurnal fae explained, before removing his spell.
"And the spell the boy could cast only affects the caster, but not its surroundings." He added, as he looked at the younger human.
"It isn't enough to stop a magic going inside of this boy."
With that he once again cast another spell, this time it was a Honey color light.
"I'll show you what's the difference of my nullification magic." He stated, as he let the ball of light flow toward Yu.
As the light slowly fall toward the boy, the light slowly getting dimmer.
And once it reaches the human, it popped like it was nothing.
Not even a speckle was left, the whole popped and ceased from existence.
Crewel was shocked to say the least, he never seen a perfect nullification spell. And if there's one like, it would probably be banned to be used again...
Crowley was indifferent, he knows what his teacher could do. And he recalled that his teacher told him about that, but witnessing it for the first time was scary.
A nullification spell, it could kill someone who thrived or existed in magic... And the closest creature of that was none other than Faes....
This made him question his teacher, why did he perfect that kind of magic and what's the purpose of it.
But those thoughts were unanswered, as well got interrupted by someone.
"Woah.... That's cool..."
And that was Yu himself, who groggily woke up just now.
That surprised two out of three adults, Darius noticed that boy had woken up when he casted Luminosity.
But before anyone could ask something, Yu spoke once again.
"Can.... You do that.... Again?" He asked that in full of wonder...
Darius was looking in his eyes, and there it was the same eyes.
Eyes that are filled with innocence and curiosity....
•|FUN FACTS|•
• Author wanted something to do with Yu, and there's not a lot of people doing it but there are some, who makes Yu allergic or not immune to magic. I quite like the idea, because Yu belong in a world with no magic whatsoever. And transported to Night Raven College so suddenly, how could a normal human adapt that quickly to magic??? (I hope I did that well)
• Locate magic was the first magic Crowley saw when he first met Darius, that's why it's memorable to him
• Yu will may or may not be adopted by Darius.... (It'll be an awkward situation for him, Crowley and probably Darius Love interest/s).
↓Author will also give you~↓
Mini Crowley!!!! And Darius himself....
(I wanted to make it look liked it was something from a nostalgic memory, hope I did the colors right.)
Anyway, Hope y'all like it. Do comment on your thoughts.
