'I want cereal please,' Lizzie requested as she took a box of cereal from Alfred, 'Thanks,' she replied with a smile before putting the cereal in, then pouring the milk.
The three girls and Damian ate cereal for breakfast before leaving for school.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The whole group of friends arrived at their class and sat down at their spots. The teacher came in not long after.
'Class, I have exciting news. The principal just informed me that this month's Sports Day is next Friday,' the teacher announced.
'What is that?' Lizzie asked Marcus as the rest of the class started cheering and conversations stirred up in the classroom.
'Sports Day is a special day that happens once every month where a whole year of students can go to the sports stadium,' Jon started explaining.
'We'll play sports for the whole day and the sports aren't the usual, we have stuff like dodgeball and archery in the mix, the most popular one is, of course, dodgeball and there will be a best athlete tournament between the students, whoever is the best at the various activities win,' Marcus explained the rest.
'Well that sounds exhausting,' Lizzie slumped down in her chair.
'It's actually really fun, since we don't need to study,' Marcus replied.
'Sign me up!' Lizzie replied with 20 times the energy she had before.
'So, it happens next Friday?' Marinette asked.
'Yes,' Damian replied.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'So, Lizzie, I just got news that the song will be coming out on Saturday,' Marcus told Lizzie as they took their food.
'That's great, I might get some popularity and get more job opportunities,' Lizzie replied.
'You sounded like those types of teachers that say that you shouldn't laugh at your friend when they fall down even though it's hilarious,' Marcus said, a bit freaked out.
'I know, right? Honestly, I'm just happy for the chance your mom and dad gave me,' Lizzie replied as she exited the queue and went to the groups usual spot in the cafeteria.
'What about me?' Marcus asked.
'Oh right, sorry, it's easy to forget about useless things and people in this case,' Lizzie answered with a smirk.
'That is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me, thank you,' Marcus said with a fake pleading look.
'Is this always how it is in drama class?' Marinette asked because she gave up on stopping Lizzie from being so rude.
'Sometimes, when we aren't practicing for something, then we are overly dramatic, but when we are doing an exercise or something like that, we are serious,' Lizzie answered with a smirk.
'That sounds very fun,' Chloe piped in as she ate her food.
'It is, we get to do a lot of stuff, this week is focused on acting, next would be dancing and the week after that would be singing. Most of the time it's split between semesters, but because of Lizzie, we changed the course,' Marcus exclaimed, chowing down a mouthful of mash potatoes.
'Interesting, I heard that at the end of the month, just before we this exchange program ends, we will have an event where every extra course will show what it's learnt. So, that means we might do a play or something and be able to wear your clothes,' Lizzie directed the last sentence at Marinette, 'I also heard that you have the best outfits in your extra course.'
'That's not true, there are other people with outfits way better than mine,' Marinette replied.
'That's lying, that's not modesty, that is downright lying,' Chloe warned Marinette, sometimes Marinette would be so modest that she starts lying and Chloe was always there to help Marinette.
'Right, sorry, umm... I have some of the best outfits, but the other students have beautiful outfits also,' Marinette said again.
'Does she do that often?' Jon whispered-asked Chloe.
'Not now, she used to do that all the time, really got on my nerves, but she's changed a bit,' Chloe whispered-answered Jon.
'Mari, Mari, Mari, I have never seen anyone be so modest to the fact where they lie to make other people seem better,' Lizzie replied with a long sigh.
And just like that, lunch was over in the blink of an eye and they separated again to go to their extra courses.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'Ok class, we're going to start learning about dancing since we are pressed for time,' Mrs. Isabella said as she continued, 'All of you will follow me to the dance room, Marcus, you can lead them there, right? Also make sure you bring some more elastic clothes, we're dancing.'
Marcus was the class rep, due to his popularity and abilities.
'Wait, are we going to wear our gym clothes?' Lizzie asked Marcus as he nodded before walking in front of the class.
Lizzie grabbed her bag and walked in front to line up at the back of the line as Marcus lead them to the dance room. When Lizzie went into the room, everyone else was already there. It was a big space, mirrors lined the walls, there was a shelf next to Lizzie with bags in it, Lizzie put her bag in one of the spaces there.
'Everyone, go change into your gym clothes and come back here,' Mrs. Isabella said as she waited there, she was already in gym clothes. Lizzie grabbed her clothes and turned to go to the changing rooms connected to the dance room where she changed from her button-up white T-shirt, red blazer, red skirt and red tie to her white T-shirt and black tights.
The class gathered back in 10 minutes and got started with stretching, to make sure they didn't hurt themselves. After stretching, class started.
'So, we're gonna start with partner dances, since that is supposed to be our lesson plan,' Mrs. Isabella said.
'What are we supposed to do?' Lizzie whispered-asked Marcus.
'Just follow me, Mrs. Isabella would show us a few moves, we practice it and at the end of learning about this, we'll pair up with someone and create a choreography to dance,' Marcus replied with a smile at Lizzie.
They watched a few videos of professionals dancing and Mrs. Isabella showcasing the moves to the class, before they practiced it themselves. The hour passed in the blink of an eye, Lizzie and Marcus were heading to their next class.
The rest of the day went on like normal, them learning because it's a school.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'Wait, tomorrow, will the two of you come with us to go to Wayne Manor immediately or will you go home first and come on Saturday?' Lizzie asked Marcus and Jon as they waited outside the school.
'We'll come immediately, so you won't need to miss me,' Marcus replied with a wink.
'Actually, I was hoping for the latter, to not see your ugly face,' Lizzie said with a smirk.
'Oh, don't be shy, I know you have a major crush on me and you're just hiding it with your remarks,' Marcus replied with a smile.
'In your dreams, pretty boy,' Lizzie replied.
'Dreams do come true.'
'Not this time.'
'Are you sure about that?'
'Of course, when have I ever been unsure of something?'
'Never pri-' Marcus got cut off by Marinette saying, 'Can you all just stop, I mean I like silly banter, but not like this.'
'Sure, plus I'll have to go now,' Marcus said as he turned on his heels and headed to the car park where his car was located.
'What do you think he was about to say? Princess?' Chloe asked Lizzie with a smirk.
'Maybe, but it's just a nickname,' Lizzie replied.
'That's like Adrien calling Marinette "just a friend" before he betrayed her,' Chloe said.
'No, he was forced to betray me,' Marinette replied.
'Nah, that was only after he gained some brain cells,' Lizzie replied
'At least he changed,' Marinette replied, always seeing the good in people.
'That is the very least he could do,' Chloe answered.
'Heck, that's the least any of the others could do,' Lizzie replied as the three of them walked down the street to where they would be picked up by Alfred and Damian.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rebecca and Vanessa were walking down the road to a nearby café to hang out and found Marinette, Chloe and Lizzie standing, waiting for someone.
'Shouldn't they follow the rest of the Paris class to the hotel?' Vanessa asked Rebecca.
'Yeah, something is up and we have to find out, we're the gossip girls, this seems like gossip,' Rebecca said as she hid behind a pillar that was quite close to the three girls.
At that moment, the Wayne's car pulled up and Marinette opened the door.
'Okay, what is happening?' Rebecca asked Vanessa just as Vanessa came out of her spot and called to Lizzie, Marinette and Chloe.
'Hello?' Marinette answered as she turned to see it was Rebecca and Vanessa.
'What is happening here, why are the three of you hitching a ride in the Wayne's car, with Damian?' Rebecca asked the three girls and Damian who came out of the car to see the commotion.
'Umm, long story short, we were shunned by our class and were forced to take refuge with the Wayne's,' Lizzie replied, dramatically.
'Should we really just be telling everything to the two biggest gossip girls in the school?' Marinette questioned Lizzie's decision.
'They can keep a secret, can't they?' Lizzie directed the question to Rebecca and Vanessa.
'Of course we can, but this is big tea. Three Parisian students shunned by their class in an unfamiliar city live with practically, the prince of that city,' Rebecca replied.
'I'm glad you think so highly of me. Can you keep this a secret though?' Damian asked as he stepped down onto the pavement.
'That depends, this is great gossip and we wouldn't want to let it go,' Vanessa replied, 'Let's see what you can do for us.'
'A bargain? How interesting for us, what would you like?' Lizzie replied.
'We would like to know everything about this, I don't want short stories, the longer the better,' Rebecca proposed.
'Damian, can they go to your house because I would not like to do this here, I've already got one mosquito bite and I hate mosquitos,' Lizzie asked Damian.
'It's not like they haven't been there before,' Damian replied before he turned to Rebecca and Vanessa, 'Get in the car.'
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Marinette, Chloe, Lizzie, Damian, Rebecca and Vanessa arrived at Wayne Manor not long after. Rebecca and Vanessa waited in the living room while Marinette poured them a drink.
'So, what's the full story?' Vanessa asked the three girls and Damian.
'There's this girl in our class, if you can consider her human, she lies a lot and her lies are disgusting, her name is Lila,' Lizzie introduced.
'She transferred to our school when we were 13 years old, a month after Lizzie joined. She started lying about a lot of stuff from allegedly saving Jagged Stone's cat to being best friends with Prince Ali,' Chloe continued explaining.
'I tried to expose her lies because I knew she was lying and she got very mad. She started lying about me, how I stole her stuff, bully her when she's the one that bullies me, so we became enemies,' Marinette explained.
'Wait, if she was bullying you and lying about you, can't you just tell your teacher or something?' Rebecca asked, perplexed.
'That's because our teacher is incompetent and biased, clearly liking Lila more because of the lies that she says,' Marinette replied with an angry look. Rebecca and Vanessa nodded, they used to go to schools with bad teachers, so they understood the problem.
'That's how me and Lila became enemies, her lies started to infect some of my other classmates, leaving me, Lizzie and Marinette with braincells,' Chloe explained just before drinking some water.
'Our class got attacked by The Joker during the tour because we were fashionable and Lila was saying how scared she was with the three of us on this tour and surprise, surprise, our teacher decided to kick us out, but thankfully, the Wayne family let us stay here to continue this exchange program,' Lizzie said.
'That is just so sad, but we are helping, spreading the news to everyone to ruin Lila's reputation,' Rebecca replied with a smile.
'Wait seriously?' Marinette asked.
'Yep, her reputation is way down, no one believes her lies anymore, but they pretend to believe it, to keep it a secret because we thought she might find a way to blame someone,' Vanessa replied.
'How would you know so much about what a liar would do?' Lizzie asked as she drank a big gulp of water.
'Let's just say we know Lila, or another name for her, Valda,' Rebecca answered.
'What? Please explain,' Damian asked, slightly curious now.
'Lila wasn't always named Lila, she has a lot of different names, and we know her as Valda, she hasn't changed one bit,' Rebecca said.
TW Starts
'When we were ten years old, Valda joined our school in another part of America. She still lies like how she is now, me, Rebecca and another of our friend knew about her lies and, just like the three of you, tried to expose her,' Vanessa said, her voice cracking slightly.
'Our friend, Alison was the most outspoken with her protest against Valda and she got bullied the worse. Our other classmates started beating Alison up, using the excuse that Alison was bullying Valda,' Rebecca continued, tears slowly filling up her brown eyes.
'We were only ten, we didn't think it would end up being this bad, Alison was in the hospital all the time, her scars continued to grow, faster than they can heal, we weren't spared, we were practically wearing our blood as clothes,' Vanessa said, teardrops streaming down her face as Marinette put a hand on her back.
'It's okay if you don't want to talk about it, we understand,' Lizzie said as she tried to comfort them.
'No, we're going to continue. Vanessa's parents tried to complain to the school, but it didn't work and my parents didn't care about me, but the worst was Alison. Her parents were abusive and the only time when she could escape them was at school, but now she was getting bullied at school too,' Rebecca said, tears flowing down her cheeks, dropping on to her skirt.
'We were the only ones that made her happy, we tried everything to help her get through that, but three months after it started, Alison took her life. Alison hung herself in her room, me and Rebecca were devastated at the news, Alison's parents barely cared, didn't even host a proper funeral for Alison, they didn't even show up. Our classmates said she deserved it, for bullying Valda,' Vanessa said as she took a tissue to wipe the tears from her face.
'The police interviewed Alison's parents to find out why she would suicide and her parents acted like everything was fine, like they were a perfect family. The day after that, Valda left the school, we suspect it's to avoid her becoming a suspect for Alison's suicide, but it's never confirmed,' Rebecca said, her tears drying slightly.
'We were interviewed as her best friends and we told everything from her family's abuse to Valda's manipulation and our class's bullying. The police tried to find concrete evidence, but there was nothing and everyone just walked away, pretending like nothing happened, no blood on their hands, not a single bit of punishment. So, we carried that secret, hoping for an opportunity where we can get revenge,' Vanessa finished.
Silence filled the room as Marinette, Chloe, Lizzie and Damian try to comprehend all of that.
'I am so sorry for that,' Marinette said, trying to comfort the two gossip girls.
'No, you shouldn't be apologizing, it should be Alison's parents, our ex-classmates and Valda or Lila,' Rebecca said.
'Don't you remember what happened to Alison's parents?' Vanessa asked Rebecca.
'Oh right, slipped my mind,' Rebecca replied.
'What happened?' Lizzie asked, confusion written on her face.
'Alison's father killed her mother and is now in jail. They are a broken family that pretends to be fine,' Vanessa replied as casually as you can when talking about dead best friend's broken family.
'Damn, that's messed up,' Lizzie replied.
'Yeah, some of our ex-classmates are in jail for stuff like assault, some admitted to bullying Alison and are in jail, but they never told on their friends, let's just say our class didn't turn out well,' Rebecca said.
'Well, if they did that to Alison, they kinda deserve it,' Vanessa stated.
'Seriously though,' Rebecca replied before adding, 'But I kinda wish I gave them a piece of my mind.'
'Me too,' Vanessa replied.
'So, there's no way to send Lila to jail with your words?' Chloe asked.
'Like we said, there's not enough evidence,' Rebecca answered.
'What if we have evidence from Lila bullying me?' Marinette asked as she thought about Lizzie's evidence against Lila.
'That could work, the court will definitely find Valda guilty for the things she did to you and what she did to Alison can be up for evaluation, but it depends on what the court decides,' Rebecca replied as she look at her watch and said, 'It's getting late, we're gonna go.'
'Wait, before the two of you go, I have a question, what about your teacher?' Lizzie asked, she needed to know everything, if they're going to court, they need information because this has just become a crime.
'Oh, our teacher saw everything, but didn't want to get on Valda's bad side because she thought Valda was telling the truth. She let the bullying went on and when Alison was announced dead by suicide, our teacher pretended like she saw nothing and changed schools a few months after,' Rebecca answered.
'It's getting late we're going to go, also, we won't reveal your secret, but I do hope if there is anything you need help with, you can find us, especially since we have experience,' Vanessa said as Rebecca and her exited the door.
Just like that, Rebecca and Vanessa disappeared into the evening with incriminating words against Lila or Valda.
TW Ends
Basically, Rebecca and Vanessa had a friend named Alison, Alison self-terminated because Valda (Lila's other name) bullied her. Alison had bad parents and stuff. Rebecca and Vanessa can't put Lila/Valda behind bars, so they are helping spread rumors.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'Well, that was eventful,' Marinette said after a moment of silence.
'Yeah, mmhmm,' Lizzie said as she wrote something down in her notebook.
'What are you writing?' Chloe asked.
'Everything they said, every single bit,' Lizzie replied as she finished writing.
'It's almost dinner time, we can clean up and change first,' Damian said as he left to go to his room.
'Umm, yeah, let's go,' Marinette said as Lizzie and Chloe followed her to their room.
The three of them showered and changed into more comfortable clothes. Marinette wore a red slightly oversized shirt with some short white pants. Lizzie wore a purple T-shirt that she could tie at the end with some blue jeans. Chloe wore a yellow shirt with some long black leggings.
'Are you really that hot?' Lizzie asked Chloe.
'I just have warmer blood,' Chloe replied with a "Hmph".
'Well, we have to go for dinner now,' Marinette said as Lizzie opened the door letting all of them leave to go to the dining room.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'So, how was school?' Bruce asked.
'Just like normal,' Damian replied.
'Ok, Lizzie, I would like to meet with you after dinner,' Bruce stated as he ate his food.
'Ok, may I know what it's about?' Lizzie asked before adding, 'Since you only want me and not Marinette and Chloe.'
'You'll find out,' Bruce said as he finished his dinner, 'Meet me in my office,' and then he left.
'Mysterious,' Marinette said as she leaned on Lizzie's shoulder.
'I have an idea of what it could be,' Lizzie replied while pushing Marinette off her shoulder.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lizzie arrived at Bruce's office's door. She knocked on it and heard Bruce answer from inside, she went inside.
'Hello,' Lizzie greeted.
'Hello, please take a seat,' Bruce gestured to the chair in front of his desk.
'Yes sir,' Lizzie took a seat before asking, 'So what is this about?'
'I have done some research on you and you seem to not have parents,' Bruce started explaining.
'Yes, it is true, I am an orphan,' Lizzie answered.
'Well, I was thinking of adopting you, but I would need your consent first,' Bruce said.
'Umm, this is quite sudden, but yes, I would love to be welcomed into the Wayne family, but are you sure, since this is the first girl you've adopted,' Lizzie replied.
'Have you met me? Whenever I see orphans with talent, I want to adopt them,' Bruce asked.
'So are you my adopted daughter now?' Bruce asked.
'Yes, yes, do I need to sign some papers or something?' Lizzie asked.
'I just need your birth certificate,' Bruce answered.
'Here,' Lizzie replied.
So basically she can create things that she would need to have a life in the other world and it will be real, no one questions it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'I have an announcement,' Bruce told the Wayne family, Marinette and Chloe who were gathered.
'What is it?' Marinette asked, noticing Lizzie standing beside Bruce.
'To the Waynes, welcome a new family member, Lizzie Wayne,' Bruce announced.
'Tch, another one? I thought I was the last one, and this time it's a girl,' Damian replied.
'That's not how you talk to your adopted sister,' Lizzie said.
'And this is final,' Bruce continued.
'Welcome to the Wayne family,' Jason welcomed Lizzie.
'Congrats, you finally have a family and don't need to live with Marinette,' Chloe said.
'I'll miss you,' Marinette said.
'Seriously, you are too emotional,' Lizzie said while hugging Marinette.
'Exactly,' Chloe replied.
'Do you like coffee?' Tim asked Lizzie.
'Yes, I do,' Lizzie replied.
'Great,' Tim replied as he drank coffee from his mug.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'So, should I be calling you Lizzie Wayne now?' Marinette asked when the three of them were in their room.
'I prefer you just calling me Lizzie Hearts, like the other Waynes, I wouldn't want our classmates to start being jealous and make me wear blood,' Lizzie replied.
'Right, what are we going to do about that?' Chloe asked.
'There isn't sufficient evidence for the police to mark it as manslaughter or murder,' Lizzie answered.
'What a shame, but we'll find a way to avenge Alison, right?' Marinette asked.
'Yes. Yes, we will,' Chloe answered.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This chapter was hard to write due to the whole entire thing with Rebecca, Vanessa, Alison and Valda/Lila. This chapter is very emotional to me.
I am quite happy with how this chapter turned out, I hope you enjoy it. Thank you for reading!
