Tuesday (Week 2)

16:20, 25 November 2024

All of them woke up and headed to school, with Marinette, Chloe and Lizzie getting off earlier than Damian.

'Morning,' Marinette greeted Jon and Marcus as they reached the entrance.

'Morning, also, I'm going to steal Lizzie today,' Marcus greeted in response.

'Take me,' Lizzie said as she put her two arms out for Marcus to grab her.

'Not yet, we still have school, but after that, I will gladly take you with me,' Marcus said as he wiggled a finger around.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'Hey Damian,' Lila appeared out of nowhere and grabbed onto Damian's arm.
'Lila, what are you doing? Can't you see you are making him uncomfortable? Of course you can't with those ugly ass bangs, did you cut them yourself?' Marinette said, her fingers twitching like she was trying not to punch Lila. Lizzie and Chloe have never seen Marinette look so angry.
'I am?' Lila said with fake concern, that she hoped would make Damian say no.
'Yes, so can you get your slimy hands off of me,' Damian swung his arm and Lila's grip fell off. Damian moved his arm in big circles, to get the feeling of Lila's grip off of him.
'Lila, give up, you're not a god. Only idiots would believe your lies and Damian is not an idiot,' Marinette whispered into Lila's ear. They turned and walked away, away from Lila and the rest of the class who were slowly approaching.
'That was good, whispering in someone's ear is a good way to scare them,' Lizzie complimented Marinette on her comeback.
'It kinda happened on a whim, something just got over me, I guess,' Marinette answered, not knowing what happened.
'Could it possibly be a trigger? Maybe seeing Damian like that,' Lizzie muttered to herself.
'Maybe,' Marcus said.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Rebecca took her seat next to Lila, the girl from Paris, who says she is Damian's girlfriend. Rebecca and Damian weren't close, never talked much, but she knew that Damian's taste won't be that bad, she looked worse than a piece of shit, so she's way below Damian.

Rebecca and Vanessa tolerated Lila and the other girl, Alya, for now. Making sure to spread the news about Lila and Alya behind the whole Paris class's back, they wouldn't know a thing. Rebecca and Vanessa didn't know who else believed Lila, so they had to make sure that the rumor is not known to any of the Parisian students.

'Me and Prince Ali from the Kingdom of Achu are like super close, we are like great friends,' Lila laughed like everyone should be close to him, and if they aren't, then they are below her.

Rebecca laughed, as if she was enjoying it, 'How interesting,' Rebecca said, with a layer of venom in her tone, her words piercing Lila from the inside. The perfect tone, a sweet layer on top that is filled with venom towards one person, perfect for a liar that uses that exact same tone.

'Oh, well, yeah. Did you know that I work for Gabriel Agreste, the famous fashion designer from Paris, I'm his best female model,' Lila bragged to us. Rebecca was so done with her, thankfully Vanessa came to her rescue.

'Oh, but isn't he untrendy now? Like his clothes are inferior to MDC's. I would really want to meet Queen C, her model,' Vanessa said, she made it sound like she was just talking. But to Rebecca, she was just trying to push Lila down, making her inferior.

'Oh, well, I think that MDC is amazing and MDC is thinking of buying me from Gabriel,' Lila said, she is great at twisting the conversation in her favor.

Rebecca was done with Lila's lies. She'll have to spread more rumors during lunch, she'll help Damian, since he clearly does not like Lila. She'll help him ruin Lila's reputation, in this school at least. Gotham Academy students stick together.

Then the bell rang.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nino was in the second class with Sabrina, Kim, Rose, Mylene and Ivan. Unfortunately, he was separated from Alya, but he could feel something was off, he could see it.
It happened after the tour, during the weekend. Alya and the other girls were talking about their encounter with Marinette, Chloe and Lizzie. But what was wrong, was that Alya started the argument, though Lila and Alya made it seem like Marinette, Chloe and Lizzie started it. It felt like they were blaming the three girls.
That made Nino see the clearer picture. It has always been like that, either Alya starting the argument or Lila claiming that Marinette bullied her, but had any of them ever seen something like that happening? And now that he thought about it, who took the pictures of Lila being beaten up by Marinette, it definitely wasn't Lila, she couldn't have took those pictures.
Nino reviewed every moment something happened between Lila and Marinette, the way Lila describes it, makes it feel like Marinette was in the wrong, but Lila was the one that first did something. He realized what he had done, he had hurt Marinette for a liar. Marinette was always telling the truth, he was the one that was in the wrong.
He messed up big time, he shouldn't even be near Marinette for what he did to her, but he needed to apologize, he needed to right the wrongs. He needed to apologize during lunch, the only time when they can meet.
He endured the others talking about how amazing Lila is, he needs to keep quiet for now.
Then, the bell rang.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

'Hey, Lizzie, today's singing session is just practice, so you can understand the whole vibe we're going for. In short, just don't worry about it, try your best and we'll see where we can improve,' Marcus pulled Lizzie aside and whispered to her.

'Thanks, I mean, I'm very nervous, for the collab with Jagged, I wasn't a big part. Also, why are you whispering?' Lizzie asked Marcus. Her cheeks were slightly pink as when Marcus pulled her aside, she was pushed up against the wall with Marcus looking at her.

'Well, I've asked some girls to try out for it before my mom met you and if they hear I picked you, then you're going to get murdered,' Marcus answered as he leaned in closer to Lizzie and Marcus's face inches apart, he is such a flirt.

'Wow, look at how flirtatious you are today? In a good mood? Also, I won't be killed, I have you- know-what-starts-with-me,' Lizzie said as she reached up to push Marcus's face away from her face.

'Well, you know me, the flirty one,' Marcus answered as he followed Lizzie to join the others in class.

'Yeah, always making easily flustered girls blush with just a wink, your smile melting their hearts,' Lizzie said as Marcus winked and smiled at girls passing by, 'See?' Lizzie pointed at the girls. Marcus nodded in response.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Marinette, Chloe, Jon and Damian all saw the exchange between Lizzie and Marcus, they knew exactly what that was, just Marcus being a massive flirt.
'Marcus, you can't do that to exchange students,' Damian warned Marcus.
'Oh come on, I won't consider them 'just exchange students', they're our friends, and I flirt with my friends a lot, plus I know you really care about Marinette,' Marcus said.
'No, you are changing the subject, yes they are our friends, but they'll go back at the end of the month,' Damian answered.
'You are changing the subject by dodging the thing about Marinette and what if they transfer here, like leave Paris and study here since their "friends" in Paris are jerks,' Marcus made sure to do the air quotes for "friends".
'If they don't, then they are our temporary friends and I am not dodging the subject about Marinette, I care about them, it's my job as a tour guide and host for them, that was forced on to me,' Damian replied.
'Even if they don't, they're still our friends and what if we meet in the future, also you care more about Marinette, maybe to love level, but that's in my opinion and when it comes to love, I have no idea what I'm talking about,' Marcus replied with a shrug.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

'What was all that about?' Marinette asked Lizzie.

'Him just being a flirt, like he always is,' Lizzie deadpanned at Marinette.

'Well what did he say? I need details,' Marinette asked, having that look on her face which demanded answers.

'He was just telling me to not worry about the singing thing, since it was set and shit,' Lizzie answered, she was not prepared for this.

Lizzie was saved by class starting. They sat in silence, listening to the teacher talk while taking notes. The incident in the hallway long forgotten by Marinette, Chloe, Damian and Jon, only Marcus and Lizzie still remember.

It was almost lunchtime.

Then, the bell rang.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Adrien was in the third class with Juleka, Nathaniel, Max and Alix. Alix was the only one talking about Lila, Max added a few, 'cool' 'wow' here and there, but it was mainly Alix. Adrien had modelling, wanting to become a model and all, more like being forced to become one.
Whenever he had problems, he told Juleka because she was the only one he could talk to, Marinette, Chloe and Lizzie were living elsewhere in Gotham and he knew that only Juleka didn't believe Lila's lies.
Then, the bell rang.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

'Did you know that Lila, the girl from the Paris exchange program claims that she is very close with Prince Ali of Achu? And she has joined all of these events with him? I checked and it wasn't true, spread the rumor, a liar is among us,' Rebecca told a girl from the first class, knocking down the first domino. This will lead to Lila's lies being known and her reputation will be ruined.

'Did you know that ever since Lila joined the Agreste fashion company and became a model, staff had been dropped like flies, something fishy is going on. Some people claim she has connections with Gabriel Agreste. Spread the rumor, a liar is among us,' Vanessa whispered to a boy from the third class, leading the rumor to spread like a virus.

Their plan was in motion, a few more rumors and Lila's downfall will be inevitable.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nino escaped from Alya's view and headed to Marinette's table. 'Marinette, I need to talk to you,' Nino told Marinette urgently, he was supposed to be in the toilet, that was the excuse he used.
'Umm, sure, but make it quick,' Marinette answered as he led her further away from Lila and the others.
'I want to apologize for treating you like shit for things you've never done. I know that Lila is lying and whatnot, I connected the dots and realized that I was wrong. I've known you since we were this tall,' Nino gestured to a short height, 'And for me to believe Lila over you, I don't deserve to be your friend and I know that, but I hope that I can at least apologize first, you don't have to forgive me, I don't even know if I can forgive myself if I was you.'
A moment of silence filled the empty hallway as Marinette processed everything.
'Nino, I'm so happy that you realized, and I forgive you, but what will this mean for you and Alya,' Marinette replied, she is really glad that someone else is on her side in this war against Lila.
'I don't know,' Nino replied.
'Stay with her, she'll be useful for our revenge plan, plus another spy won't be that bad,' Lizzie said as she merged from the bathroom next to Nino and Marinette, 'Sorry for eavesdropping, but when I find an opportunity to have a spy that can help me get revenge, I'll take it.' Lizzie walked away after saying that.
'Eh, she always has a plan,' Marinette said, 'but I do forgive you, and whatever happens with you and the others is your stuff. For now, let's keep our alliance a secret, I don't want you to endure the bullying that I had to go through.'
'Sorry again, and this is between us... and Lizzie, right?' Nino replied.
'Well, between you, me and my friends,' Marinette said in response. Marinette bid goodbye to Nino before going their separate ways.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

'You know what you said about your fangirls killing me? Well, they'll kill me either way, since when the song comes out, they'll know that you picked me,' Lizzie told Marcus after sitting down at her seat.

'Well, I didn't think of that, I don't think ahead like you or Damian,' Marcus pouted at Lizzie with his arms crossed.

'Well, you're going to be a failure,' Lizzie remarked.

'How could you be so rude?' Marcus said with a faux hurt face. (Fun fact: When I was writing 'How could', the song, 'Until I Found You' played 'How could we ever just be friends', which is a mere coincidence)

Lizzie shot an annoyed face at Marcus that shut him up as Marinette returned. 'Hey Mari, so what happened with Nino?' Chloe waved to Marinette as she sat down.

'Well, he apologized for being on Lila's side, and for now he's just laying low,' Marinette explained as she glanced at the table Nino and the others were sitting at.

'Well that's another person we can cross off the list of, "Stupid idiots",' Chloe said as she pretended to cross off his name on an imaginary piece of paper.

'That's nice,' Jon added, he's been very quiet ever since Sunday. Whatever happened that day is a mystery to Damian, Marcus, Marinette and Jon.

They continued talking all through lunch until they had to separate again to go to their extra courses.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lila was fuming, everyday Marinette is getting closer and closer to Damian while she is falling behind. Lila needs to do something quick, but unfortunately, she wasn't in any of the extra courses with Damian, so she had to do something during lunch, after school or during their morning lessons. Maybe some flirting will help.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The extra courses were like normal. Marcus and Lizzie did an acting practice as they were learning about acting this week, and the next would be singing, the week after that will be dancing and on Friday there will be a school festival. Marcus explained that all of the extra courses students show what they've learned, like acting a small skit or singing a song or dancing a choreography.

Marinette was in fashion designing, Lila didn't bother her because she knew that the teacher would be on Marinette's side. Marinette designed her outfit which was showcased to the whole class and she got a lot of applause, though one sour face was spotted in the crowd, Lila.

Chloe was in modelling with Adrien and Juleka, Juleka and Adrien updated Chloe on stuff about the others in the class while they learned stuff about modelling.

Jon was in fighting class and was the winner in a tournament they had for the whole class. Thanks to his Superboy fighting skills, he wiped the floor in the competition.

Damian was in art class and he spotted Nathaniel, the boy from the Paris class. He was quiet, definitely wasn't talking about Lila, even if he had the chance. Could he be on Marinette's side?

(Guess what I was listening to while writing this? If you guessed listening to a TikTok of a Gacha version of Denki Kaminari playing an electric guitar version of Shinunoga E-Wa then you are correct. I just found this TikTok and I downloaded the video and I'm just listening to it 24/7. I have an obsession with Kaminari and it's not good. Okay, you may continue the reading now.)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After the groups first extra course, they reunited outside of the fighting classroom. Chloe arriving first, then Marinette, then Marcus and Lizzie, then Damian, with Jon already inside. They went in ready to throw some punches and kicks.
They changed into the uniforms, that weren't blazers, so they could fight better. They were wearing some stretchable black leggings and a white T-shirt that was tucked into their leggings.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

'28 students, one winner. Who will win?' their teacher, Ms. Yelena announced.

'We have a tournament today?' Marcus asked Jon.

'It's the second Tuesday this month, being a child prodigy in the entertainment industry doesn't mean you can forget what day it is,' Jon wiggled a finger at Marcus's face as the others stretched. All of them were the best in the class, Marcus, Jon and Damian have shown that every time they had a tournament, but Lizzie, Marinette and Chloe had something new to bring to the table.

'The first match, is the best students in our class, Damian Wayne against Miranda Shields, also a strong contender as her parents are professional boxers,' Ms. Yelena announced as she took two name plates out of a box and placed them on a board, this fight was for boys and girls, no splitting boys to boys and girls to girls.

Miranda was great when it came to raw strength, but she lost when it came to IQ and battle IQ. Damian predicted her every move, she always started from her right hand, a straight punch, he knew how to dodge her and land hits on her. Damian wiped the floor with her and he advanced to the next round.

'You need to work harder, your moves are always the same, it's easy to dodge after seeing your fighting skill, be unpredictable,' Ms. Yelena told Miranda who nodded in return.

The next match was Lucy and Jacob. Both were fantastic when it came to Battle IQ, Lucy was strong and Jacob had great endurance. This match took some time, but Lucy managed to overpower Jacob.

'Jacob, your endurance is great, but you need to learn how to throw some punches back,' Ms. Yelena told Jacob after his defeat.

'Next round is Marcus, who is great at fighting against Alex, you know the drill,' Ms. Yelena said as she placed their name plates on the board.

Marcus is a perfectionist, though he may seem silly and always a joker on the outside, but when he wants to do something, he becomes great at it, like fighting, he wants to do stunts also, and he thought it will help, plus he wants to stick with Jon and Marcus.

Alex wanted fighting as self-defense, her endurance and IQ is good, but she's bad at predicting moves and thinking ahead, which makes him similar to Marcus. Though they both don't think ahead, Marcus is better at thinking how to dodge and counterattack and so he won.

'Alex, you need to work on not making an opening for your opponent, you must make sure you can dodge and attack at the same time.'

Three matches after that was Jon's turn and he wiped the floor with his opponent, his attacks were precise and quick, leaving no time for his opponents to react.

'Round one, match eight is Marinette and Luna,' Ms. Yelena announced, 'Luna is a strong fighter with a strong will to win. On the other hand, Marinette is... I don't know, let's see how this fight will go.'

This was Marinette, Chloe and Lizzie's second day here, of course Ms. Yelena won't know much about their fighting styles, especially since no one knows about Paris's heroes.

Marinette wasn't the strongest, that's why she learned pressure points and where to touch to immobilize the enemy. Luna is a strong individual, but against Marinette, the chances of her even landing a punch before she can't move is slim.

Luna and Marinette stood at their sides on the ring, Luna had a fighting position while Marinette was standing straight up. Luna rushed forward to hit Marinette, seeing that she wasn't gonna hit Luna. Marinette dodged Luna's punch and moved to the side and pressed the pressure points which she memorized long ago. Luna fell to the floor unable to move.

'What was that?' Luna asked after being able to move again around ten seconds later, Marinette didn't press too hard. Luna wasn't angry, she was curious.

'That was pressure points, I pressed the right places which would immobilize you,' Marinette answered to some gasps from the other students.

'Well that is an amazing tactic due to your lack of physical strength,' Ms. Yelena said as she clapped for Marinette, none of her students had used that before, 'Now, Luna, be careful of something like that, I guess.'

After another match, it was Lizzie's turn, she was swift, quick and she can really deceive you, she was faster than Chloe and Marinette. Plus, she's been in many other worlds where she had to fight, a lot, so she had more experience than Marinette and Chloe.

'Lizzie Hearts is up against... Oliver, I have no comments, so let's see how this goes,' Ms. Yelena announced yet again as she sat down to watch the match.

Lizzie stood at her side of the ring while Oliver stood at his side. Lizzie rushed forward to punch Oliver in the face, then switched to her legs to sweep his feet before he could comprehend, that is how she deceives people, she pretends to do something, but is doing another. Lizzie continued tricking Oliver for the next three hits and switches to not trick him, so he can think he's being tricked and get punched in the face.

This is the power of thinking ahead, get them into a false sense of I know what you usually do, I can beat you and prove them wrong. Lizzie punched him in the gut and he flung out of the arena.

'Wow, that is a great tactic, switching from tricking to not tricking to deceive your opponent so they think you are tricking them when you are not and let them think you aren't tricking them when you are, I'm gonna remember this,' Ms. Yelena said, 'And something for Oliver, don't get into a false sense of security.'

After three rounds, it was Chloe's turn. Her raw strength was her power, and her battle IQ, she is also very good at predicting the opponents moves.

'So far the Paris class have surprised us time and time again with their tactics, let's see what Chloe Bourgeois has to offer. Let's start,' Ms. Yelena said.

Chloe was the first to punch, and she landed a hard blow on her opponent, Artie. Artie wanted to land a roundhouse kick on her, but missed. Chloe was up against the edge of the arena so she had to unleash her special move, Over The Top Kick. Chloe used the strength in her legs to push herself over Artie and kick him from behind, out of the arena or ring or whatever you call it.

'Everyone sat in stunned silence because they never knew that legs could be so strong,' Lizzie announced as a joke.

'Ok, the Paris class is really a force to be reckoned with, all of you did amazing for round one, but now that everyone knows everyone's strengths and fighting styles, it's time for round two, let's take a five minute break first,' Ms. Yelena announced to the class as all of them sat with their friends while waiting for round two.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'That was great, being Paris's heroes must've helped a lot,' Jon said, his gaze landing on Chloe, with only Lizzie catching it.
'Thanks,' Marinette answered in her happy-go-lucky tone.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Round two started again and Damian was first against Lucy Mendel, the winner against Jacob.

The round started and Lucy rushed forward to punch, hoping to at least get one hit on Damian as she already knew her fate was sealed when Ms. Yelena announced she was fighting against Damian Wayne. Damian gave a smirk and moved aside and caught her punch while punching her in the gut, not hard enough to murder or something like that, but hard enough to knock someone down.

'And Damian wins,' Ms. Yelena announced after Lucy laid on the floor for five seconds.

'Sorry for that, just wanted it to be quick,' Damian apologized as he stretched a hand out to Lucy who grabbed it to help herself up. 'Always the gentleman,' Marcus thought.

'Thanks, also good match, you're great,' Lucy gave a smile to Damian. Damian nodded in return.

'Lucy, I don't know what to say since that match was short, so train more? I'm tired, next round,' Ms. Yelena said, 'Marcus and Zakaria, you know what to do. Marcus, has your shirt not come yet?'

'No, Ms. Yelena, I'm supposed to get it by next week since they were on break last week,' Marcus answered.

'What's that about?' Lizzie asked Jon who was sitting next to Chloe.

'His shirt is a bit too small so he ordered a new one, but it hasn't arrived yet,' Jon answered as Ms. Yelena announced to start the match.

Zakaria isn't strong, but his opponent from before was easy to beat as he just joined the school, so this is an easy match for Marcus. Zakaria knew he didn't have much of a chance, so he decided to go defensive, but eventually, he lost and Marcus was announced as the winner.

There was another match before Jon's. Jon's match was quick and he won with ease.

Next was Marinette and Lauren. Lauren tried to keep her defenses up against Marinette's pressure point attack, but failed and was immobilized. Marinette was announced the winner.

Next was Lizzie's match, she was quick to switch between attacks. Her opponent tried to see through her tricks and punch her, but Lizzie was quick to switch to defense. Her speed and experience helped her to guess if she should trick or not, and she won the match with ease.

Another match before it was Chloe's turn. She was fast and strong, her attacks were quick, as she punched her opponent. It was a win for Chloe and she moved on to the next round.

'Okay, that's round two concluded, that was fast, it's been 40 minutes, no breaks we're moving on to round three with eight people left,' Ms. Yelena announced after Chloe's match.

This match would be interesting, Damian was up against Marinette. Chloe against Jon. Marcus against Lizzie. And Brett against Bella.

Damian and Marinette were the first match. Marinette knew she had no chance, but she had to try her best. The round started and Marinette decided to attack first. She knew of Damian's thinking ability, he thinks fast. She went in a zig-zag pattern to try and confuse Damian and went for a side punch, but Damian was not going to get hit that easy.

Damian blocked her side attack and went in for a punch that was dodged by Marinette. He knew she wouldn't go down that easily. He needed to know his opponent. She was tiny and quick, she could easily dodge him. He knew that, he needed to find a way to lock her so he can land some attacks.

Marinette went behind Damian, her arm interlocked with his arm, hoping to tie his arm behind his back as she grabbed on to his other arm. Damian kicked Marinette away from him to avoid making an opening for Marinette, for pressure point attacks.

She recovered and stood up again. Tactics, she needed tactics. She needed to get away from the edge of the arena or she needed to lure Damian there and push him out of bounds, securing her victory, but Damian won't be tricked that easily, will he?

Damian wasn't moving and Marinette decided to attack Damian instead. She rushed forward and Damian tried to hit her face, but she bended backwards to avoid it and hit his gut, knocking him down.

Damian stood up again and charged at Marinette, she tried to dodge his attack, but he was took quick and she was sent flying to the edge of the arena. Marinette recovered and dashed to the middle where Damian was standing. They switched between punches, kicks, defenses and dodging, Damian was stronger than Marinette, but Marinette only needed an opening to immobilize Damian.

The match was intense as the spectators watched, Marinette and Damian trying their best to land punches, kicks and whatnot on each other.

Damian was careful about making sure to never let Marinette have an opening. Marinette continued trying to get the opening, if he wasn't giving her one, she was going to make one, she had to do this. Marinette was so focused on her thinking and fighting that she didn't realize, she wasn't dodging Damian's punches.

Her gut suddenly hurt like hell as she continued to stand, blood spewing out of her mouth as she wiped it away, a bit of blood coming out of Damian's mouth also.

'Ms. Yelena, we need to stop them, they're crazy, they'll stop at nothing to beat each other,' Chloe shouted at Ms. Yelena. Ms. Yelena was already going to stop them when Chloe shouted that.

Marinette didn't hear anything as she charged forward to punch Damian, while Damian wanted to punch her, but the both of them were stopped by Ms. Yelena. It was then that Marinette realized the pain she had as more blood spewed out of her mouth.

'Both of you stop, this is enough, this is only practice, no need to take it this far. Ten minute break as I take them to the nurse's office, all of you stay put,' Ms. Yelena dragged Marinette and Damian out of the classroom.

During the whole Marinette and Damian fight, I was thinking of Ochaco and Bakugou's fight in the sports festival. So... I'm addicted.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'They took it too far, I mean that was "try your best" on steroids,' Lizzie commented as she watched their teacher, Marinette and Damian exit the classroom, 'I wonder who will win?'
'Is that what you're really thinking about when our friends are puking blood because of a tournament that is to see your level?' Jon asked.
'Just trying to lighten the mood, but seriously, the winner of me and Marcus's fight will have to face one of them, I hope they don't do an arm wrestle contest,' Lizzie said.
'That sounds just like something Marcus would say,' Jon said as he facepalmed.
'That's unfortunate, I would really hate to be him,' Lizzie replied as she stretched.
'That is just mean, wouldn't everyone want to be me?' Marcus asked as he took a seat next to Lizzie.
'You're just lying to yourself at this point, no one with braincells wants to be you,' Lizzie replied, annoyed at Marcus's antics.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

'Damian, Marinette, I know the both of you are passionate about winning this, but you're puking blood for god's sake,' Ms. Yelena scolded the both of them.

'I'm sorry Ms. Yelena,' both of them said at the same time, they wanted to win, they wanted to move on, but they have took it too far.

'Do you know how much paperwork this is? Also, both of you are disqualified from the tournament unless you promise to not do that again, since both of you are so hurt, Marcus and Lizzie will have their match today, the other matches will be moved to tomorrow. I'm only giving the both of you this chance because this will be the only tournament Marinette will join and I want to see who will win, but you cannot do this, just say "I give up" when you know it's too much,' Ms. Yelena announced, she was concerned, they were strong, but they didn't have to do that.

'Thank you, we promise to not do this again,' Damian replied for him and Marinette.

'Great, the nurse said the both of you are good enough, you'll be fully healed by tomorrow. You can go see Marcus and Lizzie's match if you want,' Ms. Yelena explained.

'Yes, and thank you, we're sorry for our impulsiveness,' Damian replied with a nod from Marinette.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lizzie and Marcus were arguing... again when Ms. Yelena returned with Damian and Marinette behind her.
'Damian and Marinette are fine, but they can't fight today, so we're continuing Marcus and Lizzie's match first, we'll continue the other matches tomorrow, Damian and Marinette's match will be concluded tomorrow also,' Ms. Yelena announced.
Lizzie stood up with Marcus, both of them ready to fight... not too hard though. Marcus was a great fighter, but he wasn't the best, he was good, but Lizzie was better.
The match started and Lizzie rushed forward for a right punch which Marcus blocked, but was hit with a punch from Lizzie's left hand. Lizzie landed a punch on Marcus that he counterattacked with a kick that sent Lizzie flying away.
Lizzie stood up ad Marcus headed for her, she managed to dodge his attack and turned to the side, the attack partially missing her face. Her feet stretched out to trip Marcus and it worked, he fell to the mat on the floor to avoid hitting your head and stuff. Lizzie punched Marcus in the gut before he could get up.
Marcus pushed her off and stood up, no blood yet. He had to be careful.
Lizzie stood up, a few bruises, but not too bad, she could continue.
Lizzie kept switching from tricking and not tricking Marcus in a random order that confused him and let him be vulnerable to her attacks. Leading to Lizzie winning against Marcus, though it was hard, they had to control themselves while giving it their all.
'That kick really hurt, if the mat wasn't on the floor, I think I would've gotten concussed,' Lizzie told Marcus as they went back to their places next to Damian, Marinette, Jon and Chloe.
'Well, your punches really hurts,' Marcus said with a wink at Lizzie as she rolled her eyes for the umpteenth time since meeting him. As much as she hates to admit it, she likes to tease and talk to him, as much of a drama king as he is, he's still fun to talk with, if you can handle him. A soft smile landed on her face as she looked at Marcus.
'Of course, I was trying to make you hurt without making you puke blood, I had to try my best,' Lizzie replied with a smile.
'Class, today was... interesting, to say the least, we'll continue this tournament tomorrow since our one hour is almost up, five minutes left, all of you can just talk, I am tired from taking care of students who take a practice tournament to seriously,' Ms. Yelena glared at Marinette and Damian before just chilling.
'I recorded all of them except mine, so we can see how much the both of you tried to murder each other,' Jon said as he pointed to Marinette and Damian.
'Can you send them all to me?' Marinette asked, 'I would like to reflect on my actions and sorry for that Damian.'
'Tch, it's fine,' Damian said at the same time that Jon said, 'Sure!'
Jon sent Marinette the videos, of all the matches that Marinette, Chloe, Lizzie, Marcus and Damian were in.
'The both of you are the problem students of this class now,' Lizzie commented.
'Eh,' Marinette shrugged, not knowing how to reply.
They continued talking until it was time to leave. They first changed into their school uniforms before leaving the classroom.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

'I'm gonna steal Lizzie from you, just for today unless she is a big hit and I collab with her more,' Marcus remarked as he grabbed Lizzie's shoulders.

'I am not an object that you can just steal, so you're not stealing me, I'm just going with you,' Lizzie side-glanced at Marcus while pushing his hands off her shoulder.

'Yeah, you'll bring her back, right?' Marinette replied before Lizzie and Marcus start arguing again.

'Yeah, I'll bring her home... in one piece, don't worry,' Marcus answered.

'Well, I shall bid farewell to all my comrades as I embark on this adventure,' Lizzie said as she did a dramatic bow, taking a page out of Marcus's book.

'Well, Lizzie, follow me, we're going, I'm driving today,' Marcus said as he took Lizzie to the carpark for the students.

'Bye,' Lizzie waved to the others, mainly Marinette and Chloe as she followed Marcus to his car.

'I'm scared, if it's you that's driving, who knows what our fate will be?' Lizzie remarked as she sped up to catch up to Marcus.

'Don't be so mean, also, I have a lot of paparazzi waiting there, so just be careful,' Marcus informed Lizzie, to which she nodded.

Marcus didn't lie, there was a lot of paparazzi, five press, six fanboys and seven fangirls, they were outside of the fence that surrounded the carpark. Lizzie covered her face and entered the passenger seat as fast as possible.

'I wasn't lying right?' Marcus asked as he wore his seatbelt.

'No, you weren't,' Lizzie answered as Marcus set up google maps to the studio and put in a phone holder.

'Anyway, we're off, and we have tinted windows, so they won't see you,' Marcus said as the car started to move and they were off.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'We're here,' Marcus announced after 15 minutes of talking and teasing.
'Well that was quick, I'm kinda nervous, this is big since I was only singing a minor part in the collab with Jagged,' Lizzie said, her fingers shaking slightly.
'I didn't think the all amazing Lizzie would be nervous like this,' Marcus said as he grabbed Lizzie's hands, to try and reassure her, 'Lizzie, your singing is great, you can do this.'
'Thanks,' Lizzie pulled Marcus into a hug which stunned him for a moment, 'I really needed that,' Lizzie gave Marcus a smile after letting go. The both of them exiting the car and to walk to the studio.
The studio is located in a big building all owned by Marcus's record company. 'Hey, I need to go to studio two with Lizzie here,' Marcus told the lady at the front desk.
'Yep, here are your cards,' the lady replied after checking the computer in front of her, she was holding two cards in her hands.
'Thanks,' Marcus thanked before turning to Lizzie, 'Here,' he handed her one of the cards before saying, 'Let's go!'
Lizzie and Marcus reached the studio not long after. 'Hey James, Theo and Lexi,' Marcus waved to the three people, one was sitting in front of a big control panel while the other two were sitting on a sofa with laptops, 'This is Lizzie, the girl my parents picked to sing the song with me.'
'Hi,' Lizzie gave a wave to James, Theo and Lexi.
'Hello, I'm James, that is Theo and Lexi,' the man in front of the control panel waved to Lizzie while pointing at Theo and Lexi before turning to Marcus, 'Let me set some things up.'
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

After a while James was done and he asked Marcus and Lizzie, 'Can we start now?'

'Sure,' Marcus said as he led Lizzie into the recording room. Lizzie and Marcus wore their headphones.

'Let's start,' James said as he clicked a button on the big control panel.

Unlike a lot of Wattpad writers out there, I don't know how to write poetry/lyrics, so I'm just gonna use real songs. The song above is 'If The World Was Ending'. Also, I'm not good at describing stuff like this, so bear with me...

Marcus's voice was gentle and very sweet. When it was Lizzie's turn, her voice was angelic.

'That was great,' Theo said after they finished.

'Well, my parents made the right choice,' Marcus replied as he glanced at Lizzie, a small smile on his face, returned with Lizzie's smile.

'Thanks,' Lizzie said, slightly embarrassed. They recorded a few more backup versions before they called it a day.

Marinette was playing the video of Lizzie's fight this time, to see her style, how she keeps herself from puking blood because Marcus wasn't holding back with her.

'Hello Marinette, what's that?' Jason asked, eyes glowing as he saw the fight happen.

'Well, there is this fighting tournament to day at school and this is the fight between Lizzie and Marcus in the semi-finals,' Marinette answered as she turned to look at Jason.

'You're saying that that is Lizzie and Marcus,' Jason asked, he was stunned.

'Mmhmm, that's how I got my injury, in the fight against Damian,' Marinette replied as she showed Jason the video of Lizzie and Marcus fighting.

'Send those to me, right fucking now,' Jason said as he pointed at the phone.

Marinette sent the videos to Jason before he ran off.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'Bruce, look what I got,' Jason said as he burst into Bruce's room.
'What is it?' Bruce asked as Jason walked in two big steps across the room to where Bruce was sitting at.
'You know about the fighting tournament the students have every second Tuesday of every month? Well, I got videos of the fights, I'm just gonna send it to you,' Jason said as he sent the videos to Bruce.
'Lizzie's fighting style is insane, the others too,' Jason said as Bruce opened the videos to watch.
'I hope you enjoy,' Jason said as he left the room.
Bruce watched Chloe's matches first, then Marinette and last, but not least, Lizzie.
'Alfred, bring the adoption papers,' Bruce called to Alfred and it wasn't a joke.
'Master Bruce, what is it this time?' Alfred asked Bruce.
'I want to adopt Lizzie, so bring the adoption papers,' Bruce said.
'Master Bruce, doesn't she have a family, and when you adopt her, you need the consent of her parents,' Alfred replied with a sigh.
'Actually no, she does not have parents, she lives with Marinette, but she helps pay the bills, and Marinette's parents aren't her guardians, basically she is renting Marinette's bedroom. And on the matter about consent, I'll just have to ask Lizzie,' Bruce replied, he couldn't stop himself, when he sees kids that doesn't have parents and are talented, he wants to adopt them.
'Well Master Bruce, when she returns, you can ask her, don't take adoption papers so soon,' Alfred replied.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

'Well that took forever,' Lizzie said as she stretched at the drinks bar in the break room at the studio.

'Yeah, did you text them yet?' Marcus asked as he poured a cup of tea for himself.

'Yep, told them I'll return after dinner,' Lizzie answered as she took a sip of her coffee.

'Take a break and we'll go out for dinner, where should we eat at?' Marcus asked Lizzie as he downed the tea in two large gulps.

'I don't know, just not too expensive, pretty boy. I'm broke, it doesn't help that I have no parents and I have like two part-time jobs that I can't do because I'm here and the jobs were in Paris,' Lizzie said as she walked to some sofas in the break room.

'You know I can pay, right? I'm like swimming in money, pretty girl,' Marcus replied as he sat next to Lizzie.

'Then, you're going to pay, don't worry I won't make you broke, I still have my morals,' Lizzie answered as she finished drinking her coffee.

'Great, we're going to eat some good stuff, trust me on this,' Marcus said as he stood up and washed his empty cup. Lizzie washed her cup after Marcus before the both of them left the building.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'Chlo, did you get the text from Lizzie?' Marinette rushed into their room as she said that.
'Yeah, it is in the group chat with me, you, Lizzie and the Wayne family,' Chloe said as she showed the group chat on her phone.
'Well, yeah, but that means Lizzie isn't coming back,' Marinette said.
'You're so dramatic, she's just coming back after dinner because it's late,' Chloe said as she pushed Marinette out of the room, 'Let's eat dinner now.'
'Ok,' Marinette gave a thumbs up in Chloe's direction.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

'I wonder what Mari and Chlo think about this,' Lizzie said as she twisted spaghetti on her spoon to eat.

'About what?' Marcus asked as he stabbed his steak.

'About me eating dinner with you and you paying for my dinner,' Lizzie answered. They were in a pretty nice restaurant, Lizzie ordered the cheapest spaghetti while Marcus ordered steak because he's a "rich boy", his words, not mine or Lizzie's.

'I don't know, but what I do know is that this food is delicious,' Marcus said as he ate his food.

'Yeah, it is, thanks for bringing me here,' Lizzie answered. They were sitting in a private room, to avoid paparazzi.

After a while, they were done and Marcus paid for the food before getting into the car to let Lizzie return to Wayne Manor.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'Ok, any updates on your friends? Since we're playing matchmaker,' Lizzie asked Marcus during the car ride.
'Have you seen the way Jon looks at Chloe? If that isn't a crush, I don't know what is,' Marcus answered with a smirk.
'Well, yeah, but how are we supposed to get them together, it's not like we're just gonna tell them, "Hey, did you know Chloe likes you?" and "Hey, did you know Jon likes you?", and just hope they start making out, that's stupid,' Lizzie replied.
'But what if it's stupid enough to work?' Marcus asked with a, "I think I figured it out" tone.
'No, it's just stupid,' Lizzie said with a "What in the world are you thinking?" glare at Marcus.
'Ok fine, maybe we can have more hangouts, all of us. Like the sleepover during the weekend,' Marcus suggested.
'Well that would get them closer, but we need a way for them to confess and I have an idea,' Lizzie said.
'Well, what is it?' Marcus asked when Lizzie didn't say nothing.
'Listen close and follow my plan...' Lizzie explained the plan to Marcus.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

'Chlo, Lizzie says she's going to be home soon,' Marinette told Chloe after they showered.

'Yep, I saw the text,' Chloe replied as the distant sound of the engine filled their ears.

'They're here!' Marinette exclaimed like an excited child at a theme park.

Lizzie exited Marcus's car before running to Chloe and Marinette. 'Hello again, my dear comrades!' Lizzie exclaimed.

'Well, fill us in on all the details about what happened... when you were with Marcus... alone,' Chloe said.

'Don't make it sound dirty, plus we weren't alone. And nothing much happened, but I'll tell you everything that happened,' Lizzie replied as Marcus walked towards the front door.

'Tch, what do you want?' Damian asked as he appeared from the doorway, the question was directed at Marcus.

'I just wanna talk, can we go there?' Marcus asked Damian while pointing into the dark night as Chloe and Marinette brought Lizzie into the manor. Marcus executed the first stage of the plan. Operation: Confession is in place, the name is, of course, Lizzie's idea.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'Well, what happened?' Marinette asked eagerly after Lizzie came out of the bathroom.
'Wait, I need to blow-dry my hair first,'  Lizzie said as she went to the blow-dryer to dry her hair. Lizzie then explained everything to Marinette and Chloe, well except Operation: Confession.
The girls were tired after staying up talking and they had school the next day, so they went to bed.
Omg, I'm finally done, this took forever. I could've written more, but I didn't because I really wanted to get it out soon. I hope that all of you enjoyed, I'm so tired.
Another thing I have to add, I won't be posting as much since school is starting again and it's my last year in primary school, so I need to work harder to get into a good secondary school. Plus two of three languages I'm learning, well my skill is bad so I need to study more.  All in all, I won't be posting as much, but three weeks after is another holiday, so I'll try and post as much as possible.
