Kisame's POV

I smirk down at Kaji, who smirks right back up at me. From the corner of my eye I see Tobi flaling his hand out, on the side of the field, as Kaji and I have our stare off. You could call Tobi the unofficial referee of the Akatsuki, as he is always here to witness us battle.

Earlier today, Kaji challenged me to a sword fight. Me.

She challenged a member of the Seven Ninja Swordsman, to a sword fight. She said we couldn't use Ninjutsu, she just wanted a plain ol' sword fight.

Kaji flips back a few times, and I do the same, creating some well needed distance between us. She flipped a scroll open, biting her thumb and drawing blood. She swipes the bloody thumb swiftly across the paper of the scroll, and not a moment later, a sword pops into her outstretched palm.

My eyes widen a slight bit, seeing that it was the sword I got her. The matte black blade almsot givs off a dull glow, and I smirk at her.

'She's been keeping it in pristine condition. Which means... it's sharp and dangerous.' I laugh in my head, clutching the hilt of Samehada.

Tobi looks at both of us, waiting for us to give him a nod. We both do, at the same time, and she rushes towards me.

(Time skip)

Kaji sits down in a corner, clutching her knees to her chest, waves of purple depression floating off of her. I laugh heartily at her, seeing her spin circles in the dirt with one of her fingers.

I won, of course.

Suddenly, the waves of depression disappear, and she quietly laughs. She gets up and dusts her pants off, walking to me. She outstretches her hand, then looks at me.

My rough shark skin clashes with soft skin, and I feel as if I'm being electrocuted into place. A tumble of visions all come at me at once, rendering me unable to let go of her hand. I unconciously clutch it tighter as I see a horrible vision, one I'd rather not rememer.

Suddenly, Kaji yanks her hand back and shakes it off in the air. She chuckles nervously, and stays silent for a moment.

"Got quite a grip there, Kisame." She says weirdly, fakely chuckling at the end. I squint my eyes at her, confused as to why she was suddenly acting this way.

Kaji's POV

'You idiot!' I scream in my head, knowing it was Minoru who tried to show my intentions for the future to Kisame, through a handshake.

'Kid, you know I'm only doing this for you.' Minoru sighs sadly in my head.

'Look, you can't just-' I start to scream, but he cuts me off with a louder one.

'IT'S GOING TO END UP BAD! YOU KNOW THAT BY-' Minoru blasts through my head, making me visibly wince at the volume. I quickly put a mind block up, my chakra sealing a sound proof barrier in my head.

Kisame looks at me strangely, but I cut him off before he can say anything else.

"Kisame, good match. Even though you beat me hands down, I still see why they call you one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen. Good job." I praise, giving him a closed eye smile. It seems to take his mind off my previous actions, and he smiles a shark teeth filled smile at me.

He slings his arm over my shoulder and give me a noogie, and I glare at him. I slap hi hand away, making him chuckle.

"Thanks, kid."

(Time skip)

I rush towards Konan's room, a delicate piece of paper in my hand. I made Konan an origami heart, which was quite hard to do, at least with my poor skills.

I swear, there is at least a mountain of crumpled up paper in their living room, but it definately wasn't me. Swear it.

I knock on her door, and no one comes for a while. I quietly creak the door open, making no sound at all. I look and see Konan sleeping soundly on her bed, turned away from the nightstand. I look down at my origami heart, knowing one day she'll get my note that I wrote in there, and walking towards to the nightstand. I place the heart next to the small, old lamp, and quickly and silently exit the room.

The door closes quietly and quickly, just as I planned, and I quickly sprint out of the area.

I walk down the hall, scanning for the guys I'm looking for. I walk to the main office, hoping Pein would be there.

I knock on the huge wooden door, making an echoing thumping sound throughout the base. He tells me to come in through the door, and I make a small crack in it so I can enter.

I look around, seeing him being guarded by the Six Path's, and I smile happily as I greet them. Believe it or not, these 6 guys were so sweet.

"Hello Deva, Asura, Huma, Ani, Preta, Naraka, and Pein." I say cheerily. Though not visible to an opponent, their facial expressions soften as they greet me.

"Listen up guys." I start to yell, clapping my hands to get their attention.

They all look at me strangely, all of them silently asking a question.

I grab the charms out of my pocket, walking up to Deva.

"Something to remember me by." I whisper in his ear, dropping a magnet charm in his hand and using my hand to close his fist. I gave him a magnet because his key ability is to forcefully pull people closer, or forcefully push them back, just like a magnet would.

I walk to Asura next, whispering the same thing in his ear, and dropping a chestplate charm. I make it a chestplate charm because he is able to summon armour and mechanical waeponry.

I slide over to the Human Path next, who I have nicknamed Huma, and whisper the same thing in his ear. I drop a charm of a brain into his hand, as his abilities grants him the ability to read someones mind by placing his hand on their head. I forcefully close his fist with my hand, making him clench the charm tightly.

I next walk to the Animal Path, who I nicknamed Ani, not exactly the most creative nicknames, but they don't mind. I whisper the same thing in her ear that I did the rest, and take out the three headed dog charm. I give her this one for two reasons, one, she can summon a giant three headed dog, and two, because her ability is summoning animals.

I walk over to Preta next, whispering the usual in his ear, and placing a justsu handsign charm in his hand. I gave him this because he has the ability to absorb chakra, and handsigns and chakra go hand in hand. Pun not intended.

I finally move on the Naraka path, getting on my tippy toes to whicper the same thing in his ear, then dropping his charm in his hand. I got him a mini charm version of the thing he summons, which allows him to restore peple and interrogate them, also known as the King of Hell. I had to scour the small, creepy flea shop at the edge of Konoha for hours until I came upon it, making me thank my lucky stars there was one.

I walk over to the normal Pein, and walk around his desk, bending down so I was ear level with him.

"Give this to whoever is controlling all of them." I whisper extremely quietly, making sure no other path can hear me. I take his hand and drop a simple metal heart charm into his it, rising back up to my full heaight and closing his hand, so his fist protects the charm.

I walk out of the office, hearning nothing but crickets sounding behind me.

I quietly laugh to myself, somethiing that has lately become a hobby of mine, and walk out of the hall.

(Time skip)

I quietly open the door to Sasori's room, seeing him asleep on his bed. We don't talk. Whatsoever. Hell, I haven't seen him since my battle with him before the Chunin Exams. I just... Forgot he was there.

That's the thing about Sasori, his lack of presence is incredible. He could walk into a room and you wouldn't realize he was there until he spoke up.

But I did get him a small wooden doll. No face. No gender. Nothing but wood.

'Create something beautiful.' I write on the note next to it.

(Time skip)

I sit outside on the balcony, Tobi sitting a ways away from me.

I take a deep breath, looking back up at the stars that have just come into the night.

I finish the song softly and get up, dusting my pants off. I walk inside of the base, going to Itachi's room.

Crawling inot bed next to him, I peck his nose before I rest my head on the pillow, falling into a light sleep.

'I'll miss everyone.'
