_____________

Kaji's POV

Kakashi asked us to meet him on the usual bridge at 10 A.M.

The Hokage told us that we have one month to train, and so Kakashi is meeting up with us to tell us what he is going to do with each of us.

I come at around 12, and surprisingly, Kakashi is there before me.

"You're late Kaji." He tells me.

I remain mute, not caring about their opinions. My stare remains blank, and he turns away to explain a few things to us.

"Ok, well as you all know you have one month to train. Sasuke, you will be training with me, and Naruto, I have found someone to train you." He explains.

Naruto starts yelling, claiming that he wanted to train with Kakashi. But, Kakashi explains to him that Saskue has similar chakra, so it would be better for him to train Sasuke rather than Naruto.

Kakashi tells Naruto to go meet his new trainer at Ichiraku's, and Naruto finally leaves.

Kakashi turns to Sakura, and tells her that she will also be training with a new trainer, and Sakura actually looks happy. She skips along to the meeting place that Kakashi told her to go to, and he finally looks at me.

"Kakashi, I've already found a trainer. You don't need to worry about me, just go train Sasuke." I say, almost softly.

He nods, reluctantly.

"Bye... Kakashi." I say, poofing to the Hokage's office.

I appear on the desk, like usual, and sit criss-cross-applesauce.

"Hey Gramps, I have a request." I ask him, faking cheerfulness.

"Sure, what is it Kaji?" He asks me, not seeming suspicious. My acting skills have improved, it would seem.

"Well, I was wondering if I could train outside of the village? There are too many people here, it would serve as a distraction for me, and I really can't have that. So please?" I ask him, using my famous puppy dog eyes and jutting out my bottom lip.

He looks at me for a minute before he gives in and says yes.

"Thanks gramps!" I tell him, smiling a fake smile.

He smiles back, unaware of the fake smile. Wow, I could fool Kakashi with this.

I walk out of his office and poof to my apartment, walking over to the bed and sitting down. My hands start to fool around with the soft comforter, and I stare blankly at it.

I sigh heavily, hopefully I'll get a good amount of training in this month. I can't afford to slack off.

I get back up off of the comfy bed, and throw my backpack on it. I start to fold a few pairs of clothes and place them carefully in my pack, and I make sure to seal a bunch of food in my scrolls. I use different colored scrolls to seal each of my weapons in. A different colored scroll for my kunais, senbon, and the paper bombs and smoke bombs are held in the same scroll.

I clip the straps on my backpack together, to make sure that nothing will fall out. I form a few handsigns, teleporting to the front gate. I look back at the village, and sigh softly. I walk out of the village, and I hear a familiar heartbeat standing a ways behind me. Watching.

They don't stop me though, and I feel their heartbeat moving the opposite way, getting farther and farther away.

(Timekip woohoo!)

I've been walking for a few hours, and now I am in the middle of a forest. I decide that now would be a great time to stop and eat. I set my bag down, and sit down on a tree stump. I get back up and punch the fallen tree, making twigs scatter around me. I pick them all up, and form a fire. I blow a tiny amount of fire on the many twigs, making them light up.

I look up to the sky, and see the sun is starting to set. I open up my backpack and take out the scroll which stores my food, and make a steak poof out.

I grab a medium sized rock that was next to me, and use my chakra to flatten it, enough to cook the steak. I set up a campsite as the steak cooks, quickly, because I like my steak extremely rare.

I take the hot rock off of the fire, not flinching as the rock burns my skin. I've felt worse, in fact, it's almost comforting.

The feeling of warmth... something that I've needed for a while. But a fire's warmth is much different than a person's warmth.

A fire can't hold you, can't whisper sweet nothings into your ear as it rocks you back and forth. A fire...

I stop mid-thought as I hear a familiar heartbeat approach, along with a foreign one.

I sigh dreamily, and bite into my steak, revealing the pink inside. The two heartbeats get closer and closer until I feela kunai get chucked at me, and I spin around and hold out my steak to block it. The kunai lodges itself deep into my steak, and I look at the steak sadly.

"Why does everyone aim for my food?" I ask to nobody in particular. I hear a cute quiet chuckle, and my attacker jumps out of the bushes. My friend follows suit, but instead walks out calmly, tossing me a wink and a wave.

I smile, and look at the weird blue fish boy that just attacked my steak.

"Oh, hey Itachi. Hello Kisame." I say, almost drooling at Samehada. I'd love to have that blade, cut people to ribbons.

"How do you know us?! Answer me!" Kisame asks, clutching his giant blade, ready to attack.

Itachi walks up to him and places his hand on Kisame's shoulder. "Don't worry Kisame, she's a special... friend." Itachi exlplains, making Kisame relax and basically skip over to me.

"So... you gonna eat that?" He asks, sitting right infront of me. He smiles a tooth filled smile, showing me his sharp teeth.

"Yup." I say, taking a bite out of the steak, mocking him. He growls slightly, and Itachi sits down right next to me. I giggle, and bite off a big piece and toss it to Kisame.

"Here, have some." I say, and turn to Itachi. "You want a piece too?" I ask.

He shakes his head no.

"Your loss Itachi." I say, gobbling up the steak. I had one piece left, and I tossed it into the air, opening my mouth to catch it.

But of course, nothing goes my way, and Kisame decides that he wants the last piece. He extends his huge blue arm and catches the last piece, and throws it into his mouth. But I jump out infront of his chest, catching the last piece in my mouth.

"Don't ever try to steal my food, fish-flake." I say, wiping my mouth.

He opens and closes his mouth, like a fish out of water. See what I did there? Cause he is...

"I'll be right back, stay here. I have to wash my hands." I say, walking over to the river that was about 100 feet infront of me.

I walk over to the river, and dip my hands in it. I release a tiny squeal of excitement.

I hear Kisame burst out laughing, and I sprint back over there. I see Itachi with a huge blush on his face, and I look to see my backpack open, right next to him. Kisame is laughing like a retarded seal, and I narrow my eyes at Itachi.

"What did you see?" I ask him. He rapidly shakes his head left and right.

I walk over to my backpack, and see my... panties?! He looked at my panties!

I turn my head robotically, and narrow my eyes at Itachi. I grab him by his collar, and punch him in the face.

I see stars forming over his head, and I look over to Kisame.

"Did you see anything?" I ask menacingly.

He widens his eyes, and immediately says no. His heartbeat doesn't spike, so I know he isn't lying.

I look up and see that it is now night time.

"Well, you guys are welcome to sleep here. You can um... share my tent?" I tell them, wondering if they would actually share a tent together.

"No!" They yell immediately. I chuckle at the horrified look on their faces.

"Fine then, one of you sleep in the tent. I like it better sleeping on top of a tree honestly." I say truthfully. Kisame dives in the tent, making me chuckle slightly and Itachi shake his head. We all usually act this goofy around other people, and during battles we're as serious as ever. But we all feel something when we're together. Something that allows us to let down our guard and be silly with each other. I don't know Kisame all that well, in fact, I just met him. But I don't think that should determine whether or not I believe that I can trust him.

Even though gaining my trust is usually very difficult.

"Night guys!" We hear from the tent. I immediately hear snoring.

I walk over to Itachi, grabbing his hand and pulling along with me to the river.

"I haven't seen you in a while, Itachi. Is it bad that I sort of missed you?" I say, laughing.

He smiles back at me, "No, I kind of missed you too." He says honestly. "Now, sing me that song you said you would." He demands.

I chuckle, "Sure."

(This song is call 'Undone' by FFH! Literally, one of my favorite songs ever.)

Open up wide, swallow down deep

No spoon full of sugar could make it sweet.

The cancer inside, stealing my sleep

Night after night it keeps haunting me.

The secrets I keep are tearing me up inside

I try to hide them and I wonder why

I wonder why I'm still runnin when I know there's no escaping.

Come undone, surrender is stronger

I don't need to be the hero tonight.

We all want love, we all want honor

Nobody wants to be the asking price.

Fall on my knees, fall on my pride

I'm tripping over all the times I've lied.

I'm asking please, but I can see in your eyes

You don't need tears for alibis

It's true what they say, love must be blind

That's why you're still standing by the sinner's side

You're still by my side when all the things I've done have left

You bleedin'

Come undone, surrender is stronger,

I don't need to be the hero tonight.

We all want love, we all want honor

Nobody wants to be the asking price.

I don't think I can drive it home tonight.

I don't think I wanna be alone tonight.

Come undone, surrender is stronger,

I don't need to be the hero tonight.

We all want love, we all want honor

Nobody wants to be the asking price.

I finish the song and look over to see Itachi. He looks back at me and smiles, a beautiful, wonderful smile.

"That was beautiful Kaji. I love it." Itachi tells me.

I smile back at him, and he scoots closer to me. I feel his warmth radiate onto me.

It's an intoxicating feeling, and if I could stay here, forever... I would.

"Close your eyes, Kaji. I also have something I wanted to give to you." He tells me. I close my eyes and I feel something cold placed on my neck. I hear a small click and he adjusts my hair.

"Open your eyes." He whispers in my ear. I do as he says, and look down to see the necklace that Itachi always wears. My eyes widen in surprise, and a few tears uncontrollably slip out of my eyes. He uses his thumb to wip my tears away.

"Oh my god Itachi, thank you so much I love y- it. I love it so much!" I say, correcting my slip up.

"Wait, what were you about to say?" Itachi says, catching my mess up.

"Um... I said I love it so much?" I say, it sounding more like a question.

"No you didn't, you were about to say something else. What were you about to say?" He asks me, narrowing his eyes down on me.

'Shit shit shit what should I do?! I can't tell him that!' I yell in my head.

'Just say it kid, you aren't going to be here forever. If you don't tell him now, you'll regret it later.' Minoru advises.

I sigh softly, and make my eyes lock on the grass beneath me.

"I said I love you..." I say really quickly.

"What was that?" He asks, not understanding me.

"Umm... I said...Umm... that... I love your shoes!" I say cheerily.

He narrows his eyes at me, "Kaji, I know you're lying. What did you really say?" He asks with a serious tone. I know that he won't stop questioning me about it, so I guess I have to.

"I said... that I love you." I tell him, my voice not wavering.

I hear silence, and I chuckle sadly. "It's ok, I know that you probably think that I said it way to fast and i don't expect you to say it back or anything I mean-" I ramble, but am cut off my something.

Something warm. On my lips. That familiar feeling of heat returns, and I kiss him back softly, showing the love I have for him through this soft kiss.

We both pull back at the same time, and he says something I never thought anyone would say to me ever agian.

"I love you too, Kaji." He says, giving me a warm closed-eye smile. My eyes widen. and he sits behind me, pulling my back up against his stomach. I lean back and rest my head against his chest.

We sit there quietly, just enjoying each others presence and looking at the stars.

"Let's play a game." I say.

"Ok, what game?" Itachi responds.

"Like a back-and-forth question game, you know? I ask you a question, and you answer it. You ask me a question, I answer it." I explain it to him.

"Sure. I'd like to know more about you anyways." Itachi says.

"Ok, I'll start then. What is your favorite food?" I ask him.

"Rice balls and cabbage." Itachi says, and I chuckle. So cute.

"Ok, so now it's your turn." I tell him.

"Hmm... When is your birthday?"

"June 14th." I say. "What is your favorite word to say?"

"Peace." He tells me. "What is your favorite color?"

"Red. For sure." I say. "Ok, my turn... What's one of your interests?"

"Cafe-hopping." He replies.

I start to chuckle, "That is so cute." I tell him. I see a faint blush on his face, and he starts to ask me another question.

"Why do you love me Kaji?" He asks quietly.

"Love requires no reason. That's what makes it love! But, if I could name off all of the things in one day I would, but right now I'll just tell you a few. I love your personality: how you are such a loving brother, and you are always putting everyone else's interests before your own. You're self-sacrificing, and that takes a big man to have that trait. Not to mention your voice, the way it's rough sometimes and other times it's sweet and silky. I love you eyes. The way they look when your attention is on the sky, like the sky is your eyes. The stars reflect off of them. I love your warmth, the way I crave it so often. The way it seeps through your clothes and covers me, making me feel loved." I list off a few of the reasons.

He uses his hand to turn my head around to his, and he kisses me.

A breathtaking, out-of-this-world kiss.

"I love you so, so much Kaji."
