Chapter 35 - (1.8K Words)

02:33, 26 June 2016

You sat on top of your bed, watching the curtains daintily flutter around the open window frame. You had been sitting in your room for the past hour, avoiding the drama of the boys you were sharing the house with. You were starting to get tired of just being near them.

Yoongi was a violent mess waiting to happen, and he could easily rub off onto Taehyung. Jimin was rebellious too, and he wanted you more than anything. Jungkook was overly stressed, and could hardly function on his own anyway. Namjoon was in charge, but it was like he wasn't in control at all. Jin and Hoseok were the only ones who were even remotely okay, and even then, they had their own problems.

What does it matter? They're not supposed to be my friends, anyway.

Yes, they had done nice things for you, like cooking you a nice breakfast and taking care of your injuries. Injuries that they had given you, ironically. But, now it was obvious that it was all just a part of a facade to keep you from questioning what was really going on. They hadn't brought you to your aunt yet, nor had they said anything about bringing you to her. It was like they didn't even have a plan to get you there.

I have to find a way to get out of here. I'm tired of just sitting around and waiting for something to happen.

There were the obvious ways out of the house, like the front and back door. Those were also the dumbest ways for you to escape, mainly because you knew those doors are constantly under surveillance, and they were always locked. If you wanted to get caught, you could just simply leave the house that way.

You couldn't exactly get through the windows in your room either. You had discovered that they only opened about an inch and a half, and even then, you couldn't pop the screen out. You had tried all of the windows in the room, and they all worked about the same. There was no way in hell that you were going to try to force yourself through that slim opening.

I'm going to have to find another, more secretive way out of the house.

You were planning to go searching through the house as soon as you could, but you needed to do your best to avoid the boys' suspicion. You knew that it meant you would have to start breaking some of the rules Namjoon had laid out for you, and getting into trouble, despite vowing not to. But as far as you were concerned, you weren't about to let Namjoon's rules stop you from getting out of here. But, you also weren't going to go through this by yourself.

You knew that they had Jiyong kept somewhere, but you weren't sure where he was. He was probably being hidden somewhere deep within the house, but you weren't sure exactly where they would be keeping him. It was a big house too, which wouldn't make it easy to find him. Even though he attacked you, you knew it wouldn't be right to leave him here while you escaped.

That is, if he's willing to cooperate with me.

While you were looking through the house, you were going to find him and help him escape too. With the money you had stockpiled in your shoes, you could support yourself long enough to find your aunt. It helped you tremendously when you found another 50000 won bill in your pants pockets after you woke up.

You shifted in the mattress and sank deeper and deeper into the soft covers. You were still recovering from the damage the headache had given you. The only reason you had left the infirmary was because Jungkook didn't try to stop you.

Right now, you were waiting for Jin to finish cooking. You had gone to the kitchen for a split second to find that Jin was now cooking lunch. You had decided to wait in your room until he was done with cooking and you were called down for lunch.

You eased yourself off the bed, and you walked over to the window. You peered outside the window at the surrounding land. The house looked like it was built in the middle of a big, open field. It looked like once you were out of the house, you were safe. There were a few dirt road paths on the surrounding land, but there didn't appear to be any fences or anything that were keeping you inside.

All I have to do is find a way to get outside.

"(Y/N)! Lunch is ready," you heard a light knock on your door, which shook you from your thoughts. You left the windowsill, and walked over to the doorway. You opened the door, and found Jin standing outside waiting for you.

You casually nodded at him and headed down the stairs without saying a word to him. He soundlessly followed after you, sensing that there was nothing for either of you to say to each other. The both of you quietly walked down the stairs and into the dining room.

You saw Jungkook, Jimin, and Hoseok all sitting at the table with their food in front of them. Taehyung was helping Yoongi to sit down by pulling the chair out for him. As soon as you entered the room, you felt all of the boys rest their eyes on you.

To hide your self-consciousness, you tried to steal a glance at one of the plates setting in front of the boys. You weren't sure what it was, and you weren't hungry enough to care about what you were about to eat. You quickly realized that someone else was missing, and you turned to Jin.

"Where's Namjoon?" You asked, furrowing your eyebrows. You wanted to bite your tongue off for saying something about him. He seemed to be the source of your suffering, but he had worked his way deep into your mind.

"I'm not sure," Jin said, clearing his throat and surveying the room. "I thought he would get here before I came back with you. We might have to go find him."

I can use this as an opportunity to look around some more.

"Alright," you said, nodding your head. "I can go check and see if he's in the lounge."

"Okay," Jin said, dismissing you with a wave of his hand. "I'll have Jimin check upstairs, and I'll go check the area around the office."

You nodded your head, and made your way out of the dining room. You turned towards the lounge, and hid behind the corner. You watched as Jin walked the opposite way, towards the office, and Jimin made his way up the stairs. You waited another moment before turning into the lounge.

You silently peeked around the corner and quickly scanned the surrounding room. You stepped out into the open, and put your hand over your mouth. Namjoon wasn't in the room, but it looked like someone had been.

The liquor cabinet was wide open, and there were several bottles that were tipped onto their sides. Some of the bottles were leaking and the booze was seeping into the carpet just beneath the storage. You saw several pieces of broken glass resting on the floor just in front of the cabinet. Just beside the pile of glass was a pool cue that looked as though it had been broken in half.

What the hell happened here?!

You stumbled over to the mess, and stared at it for a second before dropping to your knees and cleaning it up. You picked up all the shards of glass, and held them in your soft palm. Only when you stood up to throw them away did you realize that the door to the garage was open.

Wait--that wasn't open when I first came in here, was it?!

You set the glass down on top of the table and walked to stand in front of the garage door. The lights were on, but you couldn't see anyone standing at the bottom of the stairs.

I bet Namjoon is down there. I'm almost certain of it.

You whipped your head around, and made sure that nobody else was in the lounge. As soon as you were sure that there was nobody there to see you, you practically ran down the stairs into the garage. You could hear the clamor that you were making, and you realized that this was probably not the best idea.

Once you were at the bottom of the stairs, you quickly checked to see if the coast was clear. You didn't see Namjoon anywhere; you only saw the other cars from the garage. You could clearly see the Eleven Ball, which now had a broken windshield.

You walked over to the car, and saw that a pool ball had been sent cleanly through the windshield, and was now setting in the driver's seat. As you neared the vehicle, you saw the ironic red and white striped ball that had broken through the glass.

"Just be lucky that I came down here today," you heard a drunken voice yell. You quickly ducked behind the car, hiding because you were unsure of where the voice was coming from.

"And thank you for the free alcohol, you poor bastard," you heard a familiar voice chuckle. "I think I like you when you're like this--you're a lot more bearable."

"Shut the fuck up, or I'm not going to come down and drink with you like this again," you heard Namjoon's angry voice. "At least now I know what the Princess really thinks of me."

"What exactly did you expect?" The other voice asked. "You fucking kidnapped the both of us. You came down to drink with me because you just realized how horrible of a person you are."

Is he down here with Jiyong?! Why is he down here with Jiyong?!

Namjoon was silent.

"Girls don't fall in love with people like you, or people you work with, either," Jiyong said, clearly drunk enough to express his true opinion. "If that's what you were looking for, then you're truly a dumbass. I'd tell you that I'm better, but then I wouldn't be here with you now, would I?"

Again, Namjoon was silent. Jiyong didn't say anything either, and the conversation between the two boys stopped.

You decided that not getting caught was more important to you than making sure Namjoon was at the dinner table. And besides, now you knew where Jiyong was. Even if you didn't know the exact room where he was being kept, you knew where he was in the house.

Before you could waste any more time, you quickly headed up the stairs and back into the lounge.
