Chapter 60: Turn Around?

(Maya's POV )

Two hours later we make it to the rehab felicity.  Liam's doctor meets us outside. "He seems to have calmed down a little," she tells me. "Any sudden outbursts?" I ask her. "Not within the hour no," she said almost as if she was proud of herself. "Does he know I'm here?" I mumbled. "No, we didn't know what to tell him," she told me.

We checked in at the front desk and headed to Liam’s room. Aspen was so excited to see Liam and I was too. Not being able to see him everyday kills me. It didn't at first because I was so mad at him, but now I miss him. "I knock on the door!" Aspen cheered.  I smiled at her and stood back so she could knock on the door.

"I told you already I'm not going to take any more freaking pills!" Liam yelled as he swung the door open. Aspen slowly backed up to me. "Aspen? Maya? Babe what...what are you doing here?" Liam asked in total shock. "Aspen couldn't wait until Friday and neither could I," I told him softly.  "Why are you mad, Daddy?" Aspen asked.  "I'm just tired," he told her. "Can I have a hug?" She asked. Liam's eye glistened with tears. "Come on here, ladybug, " he begged as he held his arms open for her. I balled as I watch her run into Liam’s arms and he picked her up, hugging her as tight as he could.

This is why I never doubted the two hour drive, seeing my family together again was worth it all. A the flat tires, the long lonely drives after Aspen falls asleep, the nasty gas station food, all of it is worth it to get to have moments like these.

We went into Liam's room and his doctor went in the rec area next to his room. We were allowed to be in his room if his doctor stayed close by just in case anything were to happen. "C'mon here Love," Liam told me. I went over and hugged him. Feeling his arms around me made me cry even more. "I need you to come home," I cried. "I will soon, I promise," he whispered. "Mommy, don't be sad, Daddy is better," Aspen told me. I looked up at Liam and smiled. "Only because of your mommy," Liam told Aspen with a smile. I kissed him quickly and smiled. "I love you," I told him. "I love you too," he smiled.

Spending the evening as a family was just what we all needed. "My new collection finally has some designs," I told him as we watched Aspen play with her toys. "Really? What finally inspired you?" He asked me. "You two," I smiled. "Well I'm flattered," Liam laughed.

(Harry's POV )

"What do you guys say?" Niall asked. "I'm not sure if we should or not," Zayn sighed. "I agree," Louis chimed. "Guys, we have to tell Maya,"I protested.  "Tell her everything is about to go up in flames?" Niall barked. "It's better than lying to them," I sighed. "We can't, it will kill her," Zayn stated. "She's already going through enough," Louis pointed out.  "Maybe we can Eleanor tell her," Zayn suggested. We all looked at Eleanor. "Oh no! No way! Boys!" Eleanor exclaimed waving her hands up in the air.

"What are we going to do then?" I asked. "Sit her down and tell her?" Niall suggested. "What if we just not tell her," Zayn commented. "Let's just go togeher and tell her," I said. "It's settled, we'll leave tomorrow," Simon stated.

(Maya's POV )

After an amazing night and a long drive home it was great to back in the house. Aspen was already asleep and I was cleaning up the house before I went to bed. It felt weird to be here alone, well sort of alone. Usually Makayla stays up with me and we talk about everything pretty much.

I logged onto my Facebook and scrolled through the newsfeed. Trust me here in Nebraska that website is still a pretty big deal. I looked at the pictures my older sister posted from her trip to Mexico with her husband.

Makayla: Coming home. I can't stand it any longer. Be there soon.

Maya: everything okay?

Makayla: I'll explain when I get home.

Maya: Alright. I'll get some snacks ready.

I shut my laptop and walked to the kitchen. "Mommy?" I heard Aspen whine. I turned around to see Aspen standing behind me holding her bear Liam bought her. "What's wrong bug?" I asked her. "Can I have a snack?" She yawned. I couldn't help but laugh. She was just too cute.
