Chapter 39

"T-this dome......is sucking our chakra....." Neji said. Akiko's white chakra was pouring out, little by little. (I'm listening to anime ops and I'm listening to Crossing fields- why does it seem to fit...) 

"Dang it...I didn't expect that they would just keep us in the barrier, but I didn't expect that they would suck our chakra either." Kiba said. 

"Man! How dare they! Let us out already!" Naruto yelled. The guys began to fall while Akiko still stood.

"I-I feel like my body energy is being sucked out..." Naruto said. Neji activated his Byakugan once again.

"It won't be good if we stay like this, Shikamaru." He said. Kiba tried to make air holes, but failed. The holes quickly regenerated once again. Shikamaru looked around. Naruto began his rasengan but failed to do so. The dome sucked it up. 

"Let me speak to your leader. We'll give up on chasing Sasuke." Shikamaru finally said. The opponent smirked.

"Pleading for you life now? Sorry but I can't let you out." He said. Shikamaru thought for a minute. 

"Then just let me out." He said. The others' eyes widened in shock.

"You! Do you know what you're saying?!" Kiba yelled.

"Shut up Kiba, be quiet." Shikamaru said. Kiba began to rage. The enemy cackled.

"A split in the group aye? Seems like your the leader but....I didn't think you would be the only one begging for your life! You really see a humans' true nature when one is pushed to the edge of death." He said. 

"Such low life creatures." 

"Shikamaru! How dare you give up on confidence!" Naruto yelled.

"Everybody! Be quiet for a second." Choji said. They quieted down as Shikamaru sat down, making a weird 'o' shape with his hands.

"Now he's squatting down. What is he thinking." Naruto said. Choji began eat. Akiko sat down. 

"Sorry to ask you this Neji but can you use the last bit of your chakra to observe the wall behind Choji?" Shikamaru asked.

"I got it."

"Shikamaru! You be quiet!" Naruto yelled.

"Naruto! Don't you understand? Remember what Shikamaru said when he gathered everyone!?" Choji said. 

"That's right Naruto. Put some trust in the leader." Akiko said, placing her hand on his shoulder. Shikamaru got up.

"Choji, don't raise your voice too much from here. Akiko, dent that wall behind Naji and Choji." 

"Ok. " She activated her rinnegan again as she did as told. Neji looked around with his Byakugan.

"Neji, mark that spot with your kunai. Choji, are you ready?" Shikamaru said. 

"Okay! Any time!."

"What's going on!?" Naruto asked.

"The wall's surface is planted with chakra. There's always gotta be a weak spot." Akiko explained and walked over to the weak spot.

"Here, Neji." He threw the kunai at the spot.

"How.....how did you get all of that?" Naruto asked.

"As I said so before Naruto, trust Shikamaru and his intellectual skill." Akiko said. Shikamaru smirked.

"He talked to the enemy to figure out his spot and realized if it was the opposite side, then the chakra layer would probably be thinner. And the reason why Choji is eating isn't because he is upset, he's replenishing his chakra." She explained.

"I'm depending on you, Choji!" Shikamaru said.

"Ok! Expansion Jutsu!" Choji became a huge ball as he jumped forward.

"Human boulder!" Dust began to fly everywhere as Choji finally got out with the rest of the crew. 

"There's no time to waste anymore!" Akiko said. 

"He's the only one here......the others went on forward I see." Shikamaru said. The opponent clapped.

"Everybody, well done......for some losers." He said.

"How dare you call us losers!" 

"Who do you think you're calling loser?!" Naruto and Kiba attacked the guy but he deflected it, kicking the guys back. 

"Expansion jutsu! Human boulder!" Choji said. The crew his as they began to discuss.

"We can't lose any more time....we're foing to split in two here!" Shikamaru said. 

"Why?" 

"If we take our time....Sasuke will be already at the borders." Akiko said. The trees began to fall.

"I found you...."

"Neji! Take Kiba and Choji to find Sasuke! The rest will deal with him!" Shikamaru said. He then  disappeared.

"Shikamaru.............I will take care of him!" Choji said. 

"He's mine! This one.....I'll take care of him!"

"Choji, what are you saying!?" Naruto yelled.

"I will do it!" He said, determined.

"Go everyone!" He said, taking out a pill of three colors. 

"Go!" 

"Choji....."

"What did we gather for! If we stay here forever, what was all our effort for? Go!" He yelled.

".......You better catch up with us! Choji!" Shikamaru said. The 5 left, leaving Choji to deal with the guy. A blue butterfly flew past them as they continued their chase.

"We're getting closer......there's no trap set." Neji said.

"We're getting underestimated. Those guys think the only one following them is that big guy." Shikamaru said. 

"They don't traps on their own men." Akiko said. 

"We'll probably take them by surprise..." She said.

"Jirobo, how was it?" The spider man asked. (SpIdeR mAn SpIdEr MAn- DoeS whAtEvEr a SpIdEr cAn-)

"....it was a bit troublesome taking the scums' chakra." Jirobo said.

"Hurry up and carry the coffin fatso. It's your job anyways you vulgar swine." The girl with red head said. 

"Yea..." Jirobo said. 

"You're awfully easygoing today." Spiderman said.

"What do you mean."

"I'm just saying, I'm not handing you the coffin." He said and threw it at the pink haired girl.

"Because you aren't Jirobo!" the fake Jirobo took out a kunai which the spiderman deflected.

"Jirobo always corrects Tayuya's choice of words." He said. Jirobo turned back into Shikamaru.

"Heh, I see." 

"Ninja art: Spider web" He said. The web trapped Shikamaru on the tree. Several of Naruto's shadow clones tackled him.

"Ninja art: Spiral spider web!" He trapped Naruto.

"Fang over fang!" Kiba yelled while the guy dodged. He was trapped also by sticky spider webs. Neji jumped out but was also trapped by the webs.

"Akiko!" Akiko jumped out, activating her rinnegan.

"Deva path!" She yelled. The spider web headed for her but was deflected by her deva path. 

"Universal pull!" She pulled those who were nearest to her, which was Naruto and Shikamaru. The pushed the spider guy away, landing him on a tree with a thud.

"I'll cocoon him instead..." He said as he trapped Neji inside a cocoon.

"Ninja art: Gum style spider web." He said he pulled out yellow colored spider webs as it quickly hardened. Throwing it at Akiko who held the two.

"Akiko! Your stall was good!" Neji said as he cut the strings that were heading for them.

"You....how." The spider said.

"The substance was chakra. It's meaningless in front of my Gentle Fist that destroys chakra pouring through." Neji said. 

"Go! I'll take care of this guy!" Neji said. 

"Right now Sasuke is....in the darkness." He said.

"Neji..."

"Hurry up and go!" 

"Ok....You along with Choji. You guys better catch up!" Akiko said.
