Chapter 4

"Quit being a ninja? What do you mean?! Well it was true, we weren't able to take the bells. But why do we have to be told to 'quit'!?" Naruto screamed at Kakashi sensei

"That's because you're all squirts who don't have the qualifications to become a ninja." Kakashi said. Sasuke grimaced as he charged towards Kakashi.

"Sasuke-kun!" Kakashi immediately flipped Sasuke over.

"This is why you're all squirts. Do you kids think being a ninja is easy huh? Why do you think you're doing this exercise in teams?"

"Teamwork..." Akiko said as Kakashi looked at her.

"That's right, teamwork. But it's way too late even if you realize that now. You might've got the chance to take a bell...." Kakashi looked down to see there was not 3, but 2 bells.

"One bell is missing. Sasuke?" Kakashi looked at Sasuke who was equally suprised.

It couldn't have been Naruto or Sakura..so that means! Kakashi thought.

"That's right." Akiko finally said as she pulled the bell out from her pocket as her teammates looked at her in utter shock.

"On behalf of you saying that my naps were useless, I already finished that task I was given so that's why I took a nap. Sensei." Akiko said.

"Wait, did lord hokage tell you anything about me?" Akiko asked as Kakashi shook his. Akiko then threw the bell over to Kakashi and left. Jumping from roof to roof towards the Hokage tower.

"Hey old man!" you said through the office door.

"Come in." He said as he puffed smokes out.

"Ahem! I give you permission to tell Kakashi-sensei my secret!" You said with your best sassy voice. Hiruzen rose an eyebrow as you smiled a smile like Naruto.

"Well I have to go! See ya!!" Akiko said as she left through the door to Sasuke's house.

"I'm bored sAsUkeEeEEeeEEeh~" Akiko said in her dying voice.

"Train with me." Sasuke said.

"Yea! I always wanted to fight you!" Akiko said getting pumped up. Both walked towards the training grounds as they began to charge at each other in a kunai fight, Sasuke flipped up.

"Fire style: Fireball jutsu!"

"Water Style: Raging waves!" the battle continued with Sasuke sweating and Akiko barely breaking a sweat.

"heh." Sasuke said as he wiped his sweat.

"I guess I can train with you often." He said as he went to grab water.

"That way, I can kill Itachi." Sasuke said as the surroundings grew silent. Akiko cringed at Sasuke who didn't know what was going on as for Itachi who sacrificed everything he had instead of his own brother.

"...Yea.." Akiko finally said and looked up at the orange sky, reminding her about one of her parents.

Kurama...(Yes, she knows, Hogoromo is probably her 5x great grandpa or sumn-)

You both departed as you went home and got yourself clean and went out to buy some dango and ramen.

"UGH! THESE MISSIONS ARE BORING GRAMPS!" Naruto shouted. Team 7 has been on missions, yes. But the problem is that it's all D ranks, no C or higher. All to the point of having Naruto getting a tantrum.

Wow, perfect. Akiko thought and sighed.

"NOOOO! NO, NO THANK YOU! As for me, I wanted to do something more exciting! Give us something else!" Naruto protested.

"He's got a point." Sasuke said. Akiko sighed once more, being carried by Sasuke for she was sleeping on the way here. Team 7 all sighed at Naruto's tantrum.

"Naruto! You're still a rookie! At the start, you have to slowly improve and move up the ladder!" Iruka sensei said at Naruto. (Not me playing 'La Campanella' at the age of 12 and only been learning piano for 3 years-)

"B-but! It's been nothing but doing boring stuff!" Kakashi bonked Naruto in the head.

"Knock it off Naruto." He said.

"Naruto!" The Hokage spoke.

"It's necessary to explain to you what a mission is...Requests pour into the village everyday. They range from baby sitting to assassinations. A wide spectrum of requests are recorded on the request list." The hokage rambled on as Akiko rolled her eyes meantally.

"...Nevertheless, you guys have just become Genin, rank D is the best you can do." he Hokage looked at Naruto who was paying no attention.

"So Akiko! Wanna get some Dango later!" Akiko hummed in response.

"LISTEN!" The Hokage sighed and sat back down, puffing smoke out.

"Maaaaaaaan! You always lecture me, old man! But I'm not that little prankster I used to be. Hmph!" Naruto turned his back away from the Hokage.

"Pfffffffft-" Akiko said, holding in her laughter.

"What's so funny!" Naruto said at Akiko.

"N-Nothing!" Akiko continued to laugh as Naruto and Sakura gave her a look as Sasuke just smiled slightly. Slightly.

"Okay fine." the Hokage said as team 7 turned towards him.

"If you insist, I'll give you a C rank mission. You'll be a bodyguard for someone." The Hokage declared.

"Really?!" Naruto said, surprised by how easy the Hokage gave in. Naruto became hype and rambled on who would it be.

"Don't be so hasty, I'll introduce you to him right now. Please come in!" The door opened slowly to reveal an old man with a jar of alchhol.

"Ugh, he reeks-" Akiko said as she covered her nose and hid behind Sasuke's back.

"What's this? It's just a bunch of darned squirts!" The old man said. He took a sip of his alcohol.

"Particularly you, the smallest one with the idiot face. Are you really a ninja?" The old man pointed at us. Naruto laughed.

"Who's the smallest one with the idiot face he's talking about?" Naruto said while laughing. Akiko got off of Sasuke's back. She was Sakura's height, and she certainly did not carry a stupid face, it was more elegant. Naruto realized who the old man was talking about threw a tantrum once again.

"I'LL KILL YOU!" Naruto screamed with Kakashi holding him back.

"What good will it do to kill the old man. You suppose to guard him!" Kakashi said and sighed. the old man took a sip once more.

"I'm Tazuna, veteran bridge builder. You'll be risking your life and limb in guarding me to the max until I return to my land and complete my bridge!" Tazuna said.

---------- Tomorrow

Team 7 and Tazuna began to set off on their journey.

"All right! We're off!" Naruto exclaimed.

"What're you so excited about?" Sakura asked.

"You see, I've never left the village before!" Naruto said, getting more pumped up.

"Hey! Am I really ok with this squirt?!" Tazuna complained.

"Yea, you'll be fine." Akiko said. Tazuna looked at Naruto once more as Naruto stopped in his tracks to rethink about this old man, fuming.

"Hey old man! Don't be mocking Ninjas so much! I'm awesome got it? I'm a super elite Ninja who will become a Hokage one day! My name's Naruto Uzumaki! Remember it!" Naruto said.

"The Hokage's the super top-dog ninja in the village, right? You sure as heck don't seem like you could become the Hokage.." Tazuna said, looking away from Naruto as Akiko and the rest of team 7 held in their laughter.

"Aaah! Shut up! I'm prepared to do whatever it takes to become the Hokage! You'll have no chance but to acknowledge me!"

"Heh, I'll never acknowledge you, squirt.. Even if you become Hokage."

"What? I'll kill you! Akiko! Let go!" Naruto yelled as this time, it was Akiko who held him back and sighed. (You know that Nobara sigh when she first met Fushiguro and Itadori? Yea!)

"Let's just get on our way Naruto." Akiko said as she looked at the trees which had shadows behind it.
