Part 35

23:59, 9 November 2025

Ryan got home to hear sex noises coming from her apartment. She slowly opened the door to hear moans followed by an "oh shit," as the door clicked open and then sounds of shuffling in the room followed.

She took her time walking down the hall so everyone had time to cover up before she saw something she really didn't want to see.

When she entered the living room, Brooke was watching tv with Levi on the sofa and a blanket covered them both. And Brooke had a hickey beginning to form on her neck. Ryan raised a brow and said hi to them both before knocking on her room door to confirm no one was fucking in there too.

"Hi," Chloe and Zendaya said looking up at the same time. They were watching something on Zendayas tablet. Ryan heard sports and zoned out, grabbing the clothes she needed and going to change.

Her and Justine had agreed to help out at the university for some extra cash. Ryan wasn't going to lose her scholarships but she knew she needed to start saving for when she was finished with college. With spring almost over and summer approaching, she was starting to realise, she didn't want to go home any time soon.

Luckily their lease was year round so she could stay instead of going home over the summer. She'd also started working weekends since she didn't have much better to do. She liked keeping busy so she wouldn't think too much about life. She wanted to show her parents that she could be independent. She wouldn't always be such a disappointment. She'd tell them at Parents Weekend about all the progress she was making.

Gabrielle told her she was doing too much, and that she needed to relax and live a little. She had mentioned them going away for a weekend, somewhere hot and relaxing. Ryan had never done anything like that but she liked the idea of being laid up on a beach, eating good food and having back to back orgasms. A baecation sounded perfect. Since she finally had a passport, she really wanted to use it.

Gabrielle also told her she should come over more often. Gabrielle liked to say things that sounded like they meant more but Ryan shrugged it all off. If Gabby wanted something then she'd have to say it. Ryan wasn't a mind reader and she was getting tired of people not just saying what they wanted. If Beyoncé taught her anything, it was that people could switch up whenever they felt like it.

Peaches: I'm not jealous

Ryan: 🙄ok

Beyoncé continued to sip from her wine glass. She was on her third glass now, red liquid sloshing between her fingers. Michelle and Chris were there, supposed to be having a chill night in but Beyoncé kept drinking. The wine was good. Michelle had just gone to the bathroom when she turned to ask Chris something.

"You still wanna fuck me?" She asked raising a brow. It had been a longstanding joke between them - one rooted in truth - but mostly just a joke.

Chris just chuckled. "I'm good Bey. Why? You want me?" He smirked.

Beyoncé rolled her eyes smiling, "I don't want you if you don't want me."

Chris laughed again. "You need a bloody therapist"

Beyoncé rolled her eyes again, "whatever you say Ryan."

"Someone's got a crush. You can't stop thinking about her," he laughed at her while she scoffed and rolled her eyes.

"She just got in my head," she sighed, running a hand through her hair before she decided to tie it up because it was getting in her face.

"You keep saying "Ryan said that, Ryan thinks this." I think know more about this girl now than I did when you were together."

"We weren't togeth—"

"Tomato tomato Beyoncé"

"Don't Beyoncé me. I'll punch you," she threatened.

"Go on then, punch me," he shrugged. She wouldn't do it.

Beyoncé smirked, resting back on the sofa. "I'll only punch you if you don't behave." She lowered her voice.

"Bey stop it." He rolled his eyes.

"Stop what?" She asked.

"You know what," he huffed. She was clearly drunk and maybe it was fun for her to act like this but he wasn't that drunk.

"I hate that fucking emoji," she huffed rolling her own eyes as she thought about Ryan's text.

Chris laughed, still holding her phone hostage. "So what you gonna do about Parents Weekend?"

Beyoncé groaned. Unfortunately, for her, Parents Weekend was coming up. She would be forced to see two people she really didn't want to see. She still hadn't filed for that restraining order let alone telling Brooke anything about how her father was acting. She didn't want to ruin their relationship but she was starting to think that was illogical. If their relationship got ruined, that was because of Shawn not because of her. He was the one acting like some kind of demonic entity.

Brooke also hadn't really spoken to her father since she'd said anything about being pregnant. He'd been busy flying around the country but she was so worried he was using that as an excuse because he was so disappointed in her.

He said he was getting there early and Brooke was worried that meant he didn't want to be there. But then he pulled her into a hug and told her he was taking her out. Brooke was all smiles, she loved her father. He was always there at her best moments.

The two went out for dinner but Brooke picked at her food. It wasn't that she couldn't eat this, but there was something on her mind. "Dad why are you still trying to get back with mom?" She asked knocking the chicken around with her fork.

It had been bugging her since she'd had that conversation with her mom. She'd seen all of the gifts over the years. She'd also heard her mother say she didn't want to be with her dad. She honestly didn't understand why he was still trying when it all seemed so pointless.

Shawn frowned, in the middle of eating his chicken, "you don't want us to be together baby girl?"

"It's not that," Brooke frowned, trying to think of how to say this. "I just don't think mom really wants that."

"She doesn't know what she wants," he shrugged rolling his eyes and dismissing the topic.

"Dad..."

"What?" He asked, trying to sound like he was listening to what she was saying. Brooke had never spoken to him about this before. He assumed she wanted this just like he did. Who didn't want their parents to be together?

"I think she just doesn't love you anymore," Brooke winced. She felt bad for him because that was her dad. But seeing him try so hard when her mom clearly didn't want him was messing with her. At some point he had to give up right?

Shawn just rolled his eyes since he knew better. "You remember Kelly who I told you about?"

Brooke nodded. She remembered just before the divorce, she'd seen a message from another woman on her dad's laptop. Before she could ask about it, he immediately started telling her about Kelly, her mom's first love, and how her mom had never gotten over her. Apparently she'd been trying to find her but it was such a common name, that she was hard to find. When they separated, she finally just hired a private investigator.

"She found her and look they're not even together, are they?"

Brooke shook her head.

"Your mom doesn't know what she wants, she's just confused right now. I'm trying to help her figure it out.

Brooke sighed. She really didn't think if it was that but what did she know? "I guess," she said. This conversation was making her feel uncomfortable. She never spoke to her dad about his life like that.

"I'll talk to your mom this weekend," he said thinking. "We should have another dinner with your friends. Just wait, you'll see. Your mom loves me, I just have to remind her."
