Part 26

12:54, 14 September 2025

Beyoncé's heart stopped beating and Brooklyn clutched her phone tightly between her hands.

Beyoncé didn't say anything for a moment, letting the news sink into her mind. The small innocent baby she'd held 21 years ago was telling her that she was with child. How had this even happened? Brooklyn was so young. She wasn't ready for a child. Beyoncé wasn't ready to be a grandmother.

"Mommy?" Brooklyn couldn't hear her and she panicked. "I... I'm sorry. I know you taught me better. I'm sorry. You wanted me to be better than this. It was a mistake. I didn't mean to—"

"Brooklyn," Beyoncé's voice was surprisingly calm. She could hear her daughter breaking down so she didn't have time to tell her off or have her feelings. She was there to love her, not to judge her. "It's okay. I'll come up and see you tomorrow, we can figure this out together... Okay?"

Brooklyn sniffled. She hadn't expected her mom to be so nice to her. She didn't deserve that after everything she'd put her through.

"It's okay sweetheart, I don't want you to worry. You don't need to be stressed, I'm right here. We can figure this out together," Beyoncé reassured her flicking on her bedside lamp. She loved her daughter more than anything, hearing her cry was thee worst sound in the world.

Brooklyn sniffled again, her crying beginning to subside. "Please don't tell dad."

"I won't. It's all gonna be okay. I'll see you in the morning okay?"

"O-okay mom," she wiped her nose. Brooklyn was so scared and it was breaking Beyoncé's heart. She was still just a baby in her eyes. Her kid didn't deserve any sadness in her life. Ever.

"Where are you?" Beyoncé asked. She couldn't be crying like that without her roommates crowding her.

"In my— car," she blubbered feeling the leather seats beneath her. It was pitch black around her save for the streetlights in the distance. The moon was nowhere to be found, only the cold blackness of the 2am sky.

"Brooke Brooke, you can't stay in your car all night," Beyoncé coaxed.

"I can't go home mom. They're all gonna know somethings wrong and I can't tell them. It's so... I was so stupid," Brooke knitted her brows together trying her best to breathe properly even though it was practically impossible when she had tears streaming down her face.

Beyoncé was already on her laptop looking up flights. It was too late for her to get one now but she'd be there first thing in the morning.

"You weren't stupid Brooke, everyone makes mistakes sometimes. You're just growing up."

Brooke burst into tears again. Her mom being nice about this was just making her feel worse. She already felt guilty for how she treated her and now this. Maybe she was just a spoilt little kid.

"Brooke can you drive?"

"Huh? Yeah."

"Okay, I'll get you a room. I need you to sleep in an actual bed tonight, okay my love?"

Brooke shook her head trying to wipe her tears and Beyoncé wished she could hug her now. She'd drive if she thought she would get there quicker. "No i- it's okay mom. I'll just go home."

"Are you sure? You don't have to."

"Y-yeah, I don't think anyone's home yet anyway," Brooke sniffled. "I'm sorry mom. I know it was dumb"

"Brooke stop being so mean to yourself—"

"Mom I know you're mad at me, I was stupid. You can say it."

Beyoncé sighed, running a hand through her hair. "I'm not mad at you right now. I love you too much to be mad at you. Besides how can I judge you when I was pregnant with you around the same age?"

"I—" Brooke wanted to say it was different, that her mom had been in love and married. But she clamped her mouth shut. That was just another reminder of exactly how stupid she'd been. She wasn't any of those things.

"You know, I remember when you were about four, you kept asking me where babies come from. I think you knew I was bullshitting you," Beyoncé laughed to herself. "You just kept asking, 'but whyyyyyy' in that little toddler voice. It was so cute and you were just so persistent I ended up telling you the truth."

Brooklyn cracked a smile. She didn't remember that but it was sweet that her mom did.

"And then, of course, you didn't believe me so I ended up making up a story about the baby fairy and you asked me where she came from and I told you that she lived with the tooth fairy. For some reason you believed that and then you just ran off to play with your cousin."

Beyoncé kept talking, trying to distract her, telling her happy things to make her forget. Eventually, Brooke felt a little better and went home to sleep. At least her mom was being supportive, which was more than she felt she deserved right now.

How did she get here, Beyoncé sighed to herself as she typed up cancellation emails for her clients. It really was a family emergency. She couldn't believe her daughter had gone and got herself pregnant. After everything she'd done for her. Brooke was smarter than this.

In the middle of typing, she got another text through on her MacBook. This time it was Ryan and Beyoncé saw she had a couple of missed texts from her.

: do you go to clubs? we should go out one day: we still haven't had drunk sex yet: you were kinda tipsy that one time

(1 hour later): this song is makinh me think of you: you always smell so gpod

(2 hours later): can j est it from teh bavk next tim : nobofy hss to mnow

Beyoncé read the messages and frowned, deciding Ryan was far too drunk. She couldn't even figure out what she was trying to say in those last two but it was sent only a minute ago so she called her. She needed the distraction.

"Bey!" Beyoncé could hear the smile in her voice. Then the background noise hit her and she had to cover her other ear just to make out Ryan's voice. "I was thinking about you and then you called me!"

"Hi Ryan, you okay?" She asked, smiling as Ryan's voice came through.

"Uh huh, I'm drunk."

"I can tell Ry," Beyoncé giggled.

"Noooo not ry. Call me honey, I like it when you call me that."

Beyoncé raised a brow with a little smirk on her face. "You do?"

"Yeah it's sexy, makes me feel all tingly," she bit her lip leaning back on a wall.

"Alright honey."

"See! Now I'm tingly—"

"That's your girl?" A voice broke through the music.

"Not yet," Ryan shrugged.

"What you mean? She either wants you or she don't."

"She does but she has stuff going on so she won't say it."

"Uh huh like what?"

"She's kinda old so she has like responsibilities and whatever."

"Damn how old is she?"

"Old enough," she sassed. "Ooooh but there's this other one— wait shhh I wanna talk to her." She said remembering Beyoncé was still on the phone.

The blonde woman sighed having caught most of that conversation. She felt a little bit guilty. She probably should've left Ryan alone in the first place. Those responsibilities weren't just going to disappear, in fact they were probably about to double. Wait what did Ryan mean there's another one?

"Peaches!" She heard the smile spread across Ryan's face again as she closed her laptop, just listening to Ryan's voice come through.

"Yes honey?" Beyoncé replied, amused by Ryan actually calling her that. It had started as an inside joke — a sex joke no less.

"You're still there," she grinned, drunk and happy to hear Beyoncé's tired voice on the phone.

"Of course I am honey."

"You're calling me honey again ahhh."

"I never stopp— never mind," Beyoncé just nodded, asking her about the party. She figured it was a house party from just how chaotic it sounded. Then Ryan confirmed that talking about getting drinks in a kitchen.

"Have you eaten honey?"

Ryan burst out laughing at that. "Brooke made a whole five course meal this morning. I been eating all day."

Beyoncé smiled, that did sound like her child. "Okay honey, are you gonna go home tonight or?"

"Mm mm I'm staying with Coco. We're friends again," she sounded so happy. "We weren't not friends but—"

"Ryan! Are you playing?"

"Nah I'm talking to fine shit"

"Oooh lemme see"

"Uh uh she'll get mad and spank me"

"Ryan I'm hanging up this damn phone."

"Noooo call me honey again."

Beyoncé rolled her eyes. "Okay honey, I'm going now though. I need to get some sleep since like you said, I'm 'kinda old'."

"Wait no I didn't mean it like that."

"I know honey it's okay, enjoy your party," Beyoncé just laughed.

She tried to get as much sleep as possible before she had to catch her flight. Thankfully she already knew Ryan wouldn't be home so she didn't have to awkwardly run into her when she went to see Brooke.

Peaches: Good morning honey, I'm going to be a little bit busy today so don't worry I'm not ignoring you. But it was fun talking to you last night, text me when you wake up

Maybe she should've told her where she was going but Brooke didn't want anyone to know and how would she explain that she'd told her roommate? Instead she just made her way to her daughter's apartment with some pastries she'd picked up on her way from the airport.

Brooklyn was lying around feeling sorry for herself when she heard the doorbell ring. She groaned, wrapping the blanket around her as she got up to answer it. Seconds later, she was being scooped up into a hug.

"Hi mom," she sniffled, grateful for those arms around her. This was the first time in a while Beyoncé had seen Brooke happy to see her. She felt like a light had been switched back on, warmly wrapping her arms around her daughter so happy to see her.

Beyoncé set down the bag full of cakes and pastries before going to the kitchen to make her some tea. Unsurprisingly the boxes she'd given Brooklyn months ago were still unopened in the back of the cupboards. She heated some water and made her some tea hoping it would help Brooke to feel better than she did. When she got back, Brooklyn was chewing on a second muffin and she had thrown off the blanket, feeling a little less sorry for herself.

Beyoncé smiled handing her the tea and they made a little bit of small talk, before getting into the conversation. "So what do you wanna do?" Beyoncé asked. "Have you been to the doctors?"

Brooklyn shook her head. "I only just figured it out."

"What do you mean? You took a test last night?"

Brooklyn shook her head and Beyoncé frowned looking around. This student accommodation wasn't bad but honestly Brooke should be in a much better place. If she'd just let her pay for it fully instead of insisting on being like the other kids... "When did you find out?"

"Last night," she placed a hand on her stomach. "I just figured it out."

Beyoncé squinted, "you haven't taken a test?"

"No" Brooklyn sighed, finishing her muffin and looking through the rest of the bag.

"So how do you know that you're pregnant?" Beyoncé asked.

"I just know," Brooklyn shrugged.

"Brooklyn..." Beyoncé was questioning herself as a mother now. Had she not taught her child about pregnancy and how it works? Not had the sex talk? But she had. She remembered the talk — or talks, there had been multiple. Condoms, birth control, pregnancy, STDs, UTIs, most importantly not to do it before you're ready. Brooke had acted disgusted every time but Beyoncé didn't care. She knew the information was going in. Or was it? Is that why they were in this situation now?

"My period is late and I just know... I can feel it"

"Brooklyn as much as I trust you, what do you mean you haven't done a test? That doesn't mean it's a baby. That could be anything."

"Mom I just... I know okay?"

"Mmm okay, hurry up and finish eating, we're going to get some tests and... no actually we're going to the doctors. Let me get you an appointment."

Brooklyn rolled her eyes. She knew she was pregnant and that this was pointless. She could just feel it. Her intuition.

Ryan and Coco lay around watching tv for the rest of the morning. Ryan asked if she'd embarrassed herself, seeing the text from Beyoncé and not remembering their conversation. But Coco said she was fine. She just didn't need to know about the spanking in her sex life.

"Damn girl you don't like being spanked?"

"Hell no, anyone tries to hit me I'm calling the cops. I don't care if it's supposed to be sexy."

"We are so different."

"Yeah you're nasty."

"You're just jealous."

"Lowkey," Coco laughed. "I just don't like the idea of a man putting his hands on me."

"I feel like you just have to trust them. Like I know she doesn't want to actually hurt me so I don't have to worry about anything like that. Plus the aftercare — I don't even think she knows she's doing it but it's so good."

Coco hummed, "I swear you're so lucky you date girls."

"Women. Grown ones... with a kid," she mumbled.

"She has kids?!" Coco asked shocked.

Ryan nodded silently. Not kids, just one kid and Coco knew her but she wouldn't say all that.

"Damn girl, and it's still good?"

Ryan smirked trying not to flashback to how good Beyoncé's pussy itself was. Beyoncé was usually focused on her but Ryan had explored and could confirm that her pussy was perfect. "So good," her eyes almost rolled back in reverie.

"You're so nasty."

"And you need a man," Ryan laughed. They talked a little more going back and forth as the tv played in the background. Coco needed a man and Ryan needed to stop being so nasty.

Hours later Brooklyn sat in the clinic waiting to be called. When they called her, she tugged her mom's sleeve to go in with her. She was scared and she needed her mom. Besides she already knew what the result would be. She sat crossing her legs as they waited for it to be confirmed.

The doctor gave her a handful of leaflets — prenatal care, vitamins, what to do if you don't want a baby, so many pamphlets, so much information. Brooklyn looked at her mom who was silent taking in the doctor's words. Her jaw bunched slightly but she kept her face neutral, thanking the doctor before they left the building.

Her daughter was really pregnant. Fuck....

Beyoncé was silent, driving them to the pharmacy before they got something to eat. Brooklyn noticed the shift in her mood though but she tried to ignore it twiddling her thumbs pretending to look through the pamphlets.

Beyoncé's phone dinged again as she drove. She knew who it was and rolled her eyes. Now was not the time. Her mind was occupied. Brooklyn was too busy wallowing in her mother's disappointment to even notice anything else.

"Mom say something," Brooklyn had had enough of all the tension in the car.

Beyoncé's brows raised. She wasn't allowed to be angry so she softened a little and settled for asking questions. "Well what do you want to do?" She knew what she wanted the answer to be but something told her that was not what Brooklyn was going to do.

"I don't know..." she gulped.

"Of course," Beyoncé resisted the urge to roll her eyes. She knew her daughter and this was a mess.

"Ugh okay mom. I know you're mad at me, just yell at me or something, tell me off for being stupid."

"Brooklyn, when have you ever known me to yell?" It was true, Beyoncé had yelled at her maybe 10 times throughout her entire childhood. And it was usually because she was in danger - "don't touch the fire," "no! you're gonna fall," "be careful."

She never yelled when Brooklyn made mistakes, just looked at her with disappointment and explained why it was wrong. Then she waited for an apology and if it didn't come she was distant. Brooklyn hated that. It always made her feel so guilty.

But this was so much worse.

"I'm not mad at you," Beyoncé took in a steadying breath, placing both hands on the steering wheel.

Brooklyn scoffed. She so clearly was.

"I'm not... I just— don't understand. Did you want to have a baby? Was this the plan? Are you trying to get back at me?"

"Not everything's about you, mom," Brooklyn sighed shaking her head.

"So who is it about? Tell me you're in love and you wanted this baby. Tell me you're marrying the guy, tell me he wants this baby too," Beyoncé tried to make sense of the situation.

"I'm not— but I might want the baby... maybe. I think." Brooklyn sighed.

"Think?" Beyoncé groaned running a hand through her hair. "What about the father? What does he want?"

Brooklyn groaned instead of answering.

"So you just got pregnant for some low life who left you the second you told him?"

"I— I di—"

"Oh great you didn't even tell him. So you don't even trust him enough to tell him you're pregnant but you spread your legs for him?"

"Mom!"

"What? You know where unprotected sex leads. You're grown enough to do it then you're grown enough to hear the truth."

"It's not like you weren't having sex when you were my age!"

"You're right but I was very much married and in love. Do you even like this boy?"

Brooke just shook her head silently, tears filling her eyes. Apart from her eyes being a darker shade of brown, they were exactly like her mother's, even down to the arch in her one eyebrow.

"So you went and got yourself pregnant by some random boy who you don't even love and now you don't know if you want the baby."

Brooklyn was crying now. "I knew you'd be mad."

"I'm not mad," Beyoncé snapped. She was trying so hard not to be. But it was hard when Brooklyn was acting like this.

Her daughter looked over and rolled her eyes still wiping tears. "I'm not talking about this with you." She pouted.

"Well who are you gonna talk to Brooklyn? You don't wanna tell the father, you haven't told your friends, you don't want me to tell your dad. It's just you and the foetus who you haven't even been taking proper care of."

"I... I don't..." Brooklyn swallowed. "Mom just leave me alone."

"No I have to buy you those vitamins and make sure you're looking after yourself and this baby if you even want to have it. There's a lot of things you can't eat, you know?"

"I'm not that much younger than you were," Brooklyn looked up slowly to see her mom's reaction.

Beyoncé pulled into the parking lot, her eyes forced on the road. "I know that but I wasn't exactly planning to get pregnant. We didn't have all the resources you all do. I thought you could get pregnant from a toilet seat. You had all the information."

Brooklyn frowned as she took in the words. "You didn't plan to have me?" Beyoncé heard Brooklyns voice crack as she asked the question.

She rolled her eyes, the stupid pregnancy hormones were probably making her emotional because that was obviously not what she meant. Beyoncé sighed and found a space to park, getting out and walking to Brooklyns side. She opened the door and crouched so they were close, as if she was about to share an intimate secret only for the two of them.

She breathed in sharply before she spoke, "Brooklyn, you were so so wanted. I loved you from the second I knew you were coming. Don't ever think I didn't want you. Come here baby," she said pulling her daughter into her chest. She could see her on the verge of tears. It was ridiculous.

"I love you so so much Brooklyn. Don't ever doubt that." She breathed. "I just didn't know that I was pregnant until my second trimester. I thought I was just sick and your dad... well he had just started in the music industry and you know, with those hours and he was away a lot. But from the moment we found out we never stopped wanting you and loving you." She kissed Brooklyns forehead.

"I love you mom"

"I love you so much more my little Brooke bag"

The rest of the day was spent doing a mixture of practical things and making Brooke feel better. Beyoncé was desperate to know about the dad but Brooke wouldn't share anything. She just insisted that it didn't matter. It did but Beyoncé would leave it for now. She knew eventually, Brooke would have to tell her something. But for now they could pretend it didn't matter.

When Brooke got home she tried going straight to bed but Ryan came in to ask where she'd been and how she was. "I'm fine Ryan I'm not in the mood."

"Damn I was just tryna be nice."

"Don't be."

"Bet."

Ryan rolled her eyes and left the room. If Brooke wanted to be in a bad mood then so be it. That was none of her business. She pulled out her phone seeing a message from Beyoncé.

Peaches: How do you feel about wearing a strap on?

Ryan: this is so random

Beyoncé just called her, "hey honey, are you free tonight?"

"Uh... yeah. What's up?" Ryan asked.

"Well I'm in town and I just... how do you feel about fucking me?" Beyoncé asked, biting the inside of her lip. She didn't know if it would be Ryan's thing but she was craving it. She had an urge she needed satisfied. She wanted to feel something, to not have to put in so much work to feel good. She wanted to bounce on something.

Ryan's eyes glinted. "Would you be on top," she said, imagining Beyoncé sat in her lap. Those legs, those hips. What she wouldn't give to watch that.

Beyoncé made a 'duh' face and said "that's the plan."

Ryan just nodded enthusiastically. "You want me to come now?"

"Yeah I'll book your uber. Where are you?"

"Home. I need to get out of here anyway," Ryan rolled her eyes. Her roommate was being annoying.

——————————[A/N]Sorry y'all idk what happened with Wattpad but hopefully you can read it now.

Thoughts? Baby Brooke? What y'all think she's gonna do? How's it gonna change her relationship with her mom? What about her being a little bit mean to Ryan?

Bey and Ryan's drunk conversation? Ryan didn't tell Coco everything but she told her a little bit. Ryans about to give Bey the strap?

I think you already know what the next chapter is 👀
